You can say that it's ok for the casinos to be clever and try to screw the bonus hunters, but they're also screwing regular and new customers also;

I don't believe I ever said it is ok for the casinos to try to screw anyone. What I did say was that casinos have become very creative/clever and players need to be aware of these tactics (educate themselves) and be diligent (research, take screenshots, etc.) More importantly, players cannot assume that casinos mean xyw by their posted terms.

I can't see an industry succeeding where the relationship between provider and consumer is so adversarial.

Can you name an industry that involves the exchange of money that is not adversarial? If there wasn't, there would be no need for bill collectors.
