Odd promo terms...

I've seen a few sites (microgaming sites) that offer promotions (both on-going and signup) that specify that you must request the promotion within x hours after depositing.

Is this for real? Can you really make a deposit, gamble unencumbered by T&C's, cashout if you when, but if you lose, request the promotion and accept the money and the T&C's on it? Sounds a little too good to be true.

Doesn't sound that great to me but what you have said would be correct. You would of course still be required to do the full wager requirement even if you have wiped out before requesting the bonus.

While you still may not have an edge, this still seems much more reasonable to me than most terms.

For example:
I deposit 100, play vp, hit deuces, cashout.
else
claim $100 bonus w/ $2000 playthrough.
If I play a game with greater than .95 expectation, statistically, I still go home with something in my pocket.

Even if you are forced to play slots, it still doesn't sound bad to be given $100 for slot play after losing $100. Sure, its going to be hard to hit playthrough, but as slotchick says, you might hit the big one, which is a better chance than you had after you lost without the bonus.

Some casinos don't allow you play with your deposit before requesting the bonus, while Fortune Lounge casinos require that you wager your deposit once. If the promotion is worth taking, you shoult take it whether you have won or lost.
