Now I've seen it all

winbig

Keep winning this amount.
Ok, so I'm at Harrah's Chester last night, and I'm waiting on one of the "Deal or No Deal" slots to open up.

I see this woman playing 1 line, at 1c!!!!!!!!!!

Everyone's pissed. She has like $4 left, and if anyone knows this game, the only chance of hitting big is to hit the progressive.....which you have to play max lines & coins to qualify for - 21 lines @ 5c per line. Even so, I've never seen the jackpot at this place go over $850. Also, the most I've seen possible to win in the bonus round is 18,900 coins, for a 180x win.

But anyways......wtf? 1c & 1 line??? Geeze.....

Keep in mind there's always a handful of people waiting to play this slot. Even though it's a money sucker, it's ADDICTING! :D

Oh yea, I should have taken a picture of it, but about 15 minutes after sitting down, some woman (who was actually playing max bet) hit the $840 progressive. She was sitting 3 machines down from me :o

lol

that game is always full. I love Powerball but they only have 6 of them. Let me know next time you go, maybe Rich and I can meet up with you there.
He likes to play Top Dollar.

Actually, I probably will stick to AC from now on. It's a nice place in Chester, but I hate to be limited to slots. They do have the virtual blackjack tables, but I've never seen so much bad play in my life. It's like they have no idea on how to play, but they sit down and give it a go anyways.

In just one hour, I saw:

1: 10s split
2: 4s split
3: 5's split
4: double a hard 12 against a 6
5: 6s split against a dealer 2
6: 7s split against a dealer FACE CARD
7: Re: #3....they received another 5 on the 2nd hand, and instead of splitting again, they doubled, like they should have done in the first place....:what:
8: Almost forgot this one...player has soft 17 against a dealer 6. He has no idea what to do. The player next to him pipes up and says.....get this...."you have 17! Stand"

sheesh....I was about to ask them if they were willing to donate money, just to give it to me :p

true

I like to play let it ride in AC. We will be there from Next Sunday until Tues or wednesday (depending on my luck lol) Oh....at the Trop :)

Oh my GOD!! You should have said "There are some slot machines with your name on 'em right around the corner".

They have Deal or No Deal at Foxwoods too, when you go next month. Last time I went I was able to play it, the first time I got the bonus I was happy with the first offer and took the Deal. The next time I had $$ in my eyes and said No Deal and of course, each round after that, the briefcase I picked was the largest remaining one (this particular aspect of the game is predetermined, no doubt).

You can find these Deal or No Deal machines in the casino which is across the hall from the entrance to the Festival Buffet. This casino has lots of table games too, which I think are more your thing? Don't confuse it with the casino which is right next to the buffet - that one has no table games but it does have a Cleopatra, a big Wheel of Fortune (with no seats available until 3:00AM on Wednesday morning), Star Wars, and a few of my favorite game - Happy Camper - near the non-smoking bingo entrance. There are probably some Deal or No Deal in some of the other casinos too but I can't remember.

Edit: I forgot to mention, you won't have to worry about someone playing 1 line at 1 cent at Foxwoods. The Deal or No Deal games are all nickel machines. In fact there aren't very many penny machines (compared to nickel+ machines) for any game, and the ones they do have are usually always full anyway.

when i was in tunica a couple of weeks ago i wanted to play wheel of fortune it had been packed for hours, there was one young girl who had 2 credits left on a 1.00 machine which if your gonna play that game you need to bet 3 credits to get a chance at the spin. i asked her after waiting 20 mins. if she was gonna play or what ? i was fed up by then:mad: when she told me right quick that she would sit there all night as long as they kept bringing her free drinks  i just shook my head and walked away, hubby says i should have told a floor mgr. but i didnt!! you run into a nut every once in awhile, i guess:p

And then there's the people who play 2 machines at the same time when it's busy.

grrrr I get so po'd when some jerk is playing a stupid low bet and are playing 2 machines. Take you money and make a bigger bet on one. They know they piss us off don't they?? And what about the person that plays .10 on a 40 line machine?? Makes me crazy. Can you tell I have just spent the last 8 hours at my local casino??

Almost forgot another story......

As I was leaving that night, there was a HUGE crowd around this guy playing one of the 1c video slots. I try and get close, and see that he has ~ 76,000 credits ($760).

Most all of these people that he had a small fortune ($76,000).

It just goes to show that offline video slots are such a moneymaker compared to playing online. I constantly see things such as "Win up to xxx times your line bet!" advertised on machines....big whoop. You can win under $10 on a spin...max. People see these 3-4 figures and many don't realize the actual value of the win.

I did see some 20 line slots @ $1 per line though....must be nice to be able to afford $20/spin minimum :p

Sometimes when I'm bux up I'll go into the high roller lounge and do the $5 minimum machines, have done many a $100 spin hoping for the moby payout.
I've noticed that a five dollar tip per drink is the only way to get smiles and sweet service in these areas btw.
I usually budget myself 100-200 a day for slots and I can play for 15 hours on that budget if I mostly low roll. Another thing I like to do when bux up is hit the roulette for some 35/1 action.

Seems stupid, because almost every trip I have the opportunity to leave with more than I come in with, but I go with the full intention of spending the bankroll for the entertainment and in hopes of hitting the big one :D

If I'm about busted and my date is still rolling I will sometimes sit at a cheap machine and bet low to just while away the time, but usually in an uncrowded area and would certainly surrender the machine to someone who wanted to play for reals.

What freaks me out in some of the Indian casinos I go to in Oregon (chinook winds, spirit mountain, etc. nice places btw) is the little old ladies doing their voodoo thing to the screen whenever they spin - waving a hand around the reels, tapping to 'make' wilds and bonus symbols appear... the crazy thing is it doesn't happen any more often than for anyone else but they really believe they are putting the whammy to it, just reading their body language when they 'get one' is creepy. I tend to move away from them pretty quickly... just gives me the creeps:eek2:
