No, they wouldn't make it public, but warnings are made public on the UKGC site.

As for the question, it's clearly something they feel a necessity to do, hence why I'm asking the rep for the reason behind it.

Because I personally think it will cause more problems than solve. Try taking something you enjoy and being limited to a 2-hour window per day and see how it affects your mood and approach to doing it.

I guess you mean the average time from them being investigated, the timeframe is 14 days following an official warning I believe.

Agree wholeheartedly something fishy is going on, and yes, they are probably trying to protect the business from a big fine or even suspension.

Hopefully, the rep will confirm if a 2 hour play limit has been applied across the board.

Clearly an overreaction on Novibet's part, under the guise of 'Better safe than sorry', as the UKGC have frightened half the casinos to death with their vagueries. Crap though it is, I don't think they're doing it for shits and giggles or to sabotage their own business interests.

Surely better then for casinos to find some common ground in regards to SoWs, Deposit Limits and start implementing them in unison, and making it some type of industry 'norm', as opposed to every casino swerving off into different directions of distress. Because veering off in extremes will only end up getting you fined or losing your customer base.

It'd be great for the rep to make a cameo, even if just to face the inevitable backlash, because this thing works both ways. That is, unless we're just to sing casinos' praises, irrespective of their questionable, anti- player decisions. I fear the answer may not be sufficient though, because after all, how can you justify this ruinous mandatory gambling tool without getting pilloried?

You are wrong. You get an assessment. You receive the findings, with what they regard as potential vialations to the LCCP, with a threath to act immidiately, even before you answer to their findings. They litterally grab you by the balls and scream confess or else ..........

The investigation after this initial correspondance may go on for many months or sometimes even years.

Lets agree that the 14 days is between decison and communication

A casino don't normally enjoy putting limitations on a customer account. If they do they are putting it there because they feel/believe that this is what the GC wants. No casino wants to disturb their customers without a very good reason. Thats why you don't see this kind of shit gambling in Curacao licensed ones. (you might get other shit happening in the Jaz world though ;-) )

If there is a prospect of a fine is there a right to appeal? Would it not work out cheaper and easier for the casino just to forfeit their UK license and avoid any fine than impose these draconian regulations and alienate the customer base anyway?

Just strange how these Maltese casinos seem frightened to death of the UKGC but UK based casinos seem more relaxed over matters and apply regulations in a calmer manner? Although saying this, I've just checked and they're based in the IOM. Hopefully this isn't a sign of things to come for the UK casinos. As others have said, it would making online slotting pretty pointless and a joyless exercise. Without bonus buys, no quick spin and with such highly volatile slots these days, it can take an hour just to trigger a bonus.
