Hi peeps, We all sign up to casino sites and no doubt 99% of the time its threw a online forum like mesiter it self or many other websites, They claim to have a special welcome bonus as long as you go threw there site (banner) There link,
Now here is the bit, I signed up to a site the other day and was promised so many spins, Well what do you no, No extra spins, I have contact help and they informed me that the bonus has now expired,
Whos fault is this, The affiliate is now earning money of me and I have not got what I was promised? Is it false advertisment, Should they get there affiliate stooped? I do not no as I don't no about that side of things, What I do no is I feel that I have been cheated and lied to,

Have you talked to the affiliate himself? Maybe he have been mislead by the casino. It can expire but you can get it at a later time maybe if they just update it again.

Do the casino have a rep here? Most of the time they have something they can give you anyway since they do want to keep their customers, no matter who sends them.

When I started playing I didn't care at all about the affiliates as long as I found a good bonus. TBH I had no clue what an affiliate was:oops:
Now I know and I always choose someone I know and can talk to from here :)

I list over 200 casinos on my sites and it is an EXTREMELY difficult task to keep all the information on all of them up-to-date all the time.
Especially when some of these operators don't take the trouble to inform their affiliates about any changes, or bury the detail in a "newsletter" e-mail which most of us don't have time to read through.
It's as frustrating and annoying for me as it is for the players, believe me. :(

I agree with Tirileg - contact the affiliate & see if they can do something. It's very possible they don't know something has changed, so would probably appreciate the feedback anyway - I know I would!

Thanks for the input, I was the same, Didnt have a clue, Im abit wiser now and will only go threw reputable sites to sign up, It was actually from KK, I do not want to get any 1 in trouble as it can be difficult for them and even worse if there not kept upto date, All I no is that its certainly not my fault :) I do not want to make a mountain out of a mole hole But for example if you signed up and promised 250% bonus with 10x playthrew and you ended up with 100% and 35x play threw you would be p*ssed, I see no diffrence if it is only a few spins

You could have just sent a pm to KK right away and asked.
On the other side it's good if other players read and learn some from this :)

Can't you please try and change the spelling from THREW to through? :p

Most affiliate programs will set up exclusive offers for affiliates to promote to help get some players through the door so to speak, the problem is that a lot of the time they do not have an expiry and the casino just removes them without informing the affiliate.

You can also look at the other side of the coin as well, the affiliate manages to get people signing up but not depositing only to find out most people are probably leaving and not coming back for the exact same reasons you gave, they didn't get what they were promised. It is catch 22 for affiliates as well.

As you said if other players can learn abit, & Stick to genuine sites

Thanks Tirilej !
I see a lot of folks here say, " why did you post this or that, you should have just PM'd someone." I'm glad you pointed out that these posts are a learning point for many people. Myself included. I read a lot of posts that have nothing to do with me because I usually learn something from them and it makes me a smarter player.

I have had similar experiences.

IMO the casino should ask you to send the link, or forward the email, and honour the promotion for you. Then the casino can deal with the affiliate in whatever manner they deem appropriate as per their contract.

Sometimes free spins have to be set up via the software of course, but the casino could always add the cash equivilent as a bonus instead.

I've had casinos honour expired promotions and deposited. One of Club World Group's springs to mind, and I'm still a customer years later.

If the casino won't honour their affiliates' promotions, I won't deposit.

If it's Video Slots - I have literally just been informed in the last few hours that they have reduced the number of free spins on sign-up (from 20 down to 11) - I am actually changing my sites right now!

If it's a different casino, I would appreciate if you could let me know which one so I can get my data updated ASAP.

Thanks,
KK

It doesn't matter who is at fault, it's false advertising, and likely to cause problems for operators in a better regulated market. The ASA deals with this kind of thing, and now has numerous upheld complaints against operators of online casinos that have made a false advertisement available to UK customers. At present, it doesn't really seem to bother them as the "penalty" is a mere slap on the wrist, no powers exist that would enable the ASA to issue fines. Only in exceptionally severe cases is there a penalty with more teeth, but it's merely a ban on access to the UK market via advertisements, not likely to bother an offshore operator, and almost impossible to enforce over the internet in any case.

There are rogue affiliates who deliberately falsify "special offers" in order to drive their own traffic, hoping that some of the customers fooled will have no idea that they are benefitting long term by the initial deception. There are also rogue casinos that use "bait & switch" as a tactic to lure customers regardless of whether they come by affiliates or direct.

It's the player that ends up getting deceived, and it's up to the casino to do their best to retain that customer who has just had a bad first impression. Some casinos know how to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat, whereas others are determined to make the player feel that the bad impression they got was a sign of things to come from that operator, and any sensible player would not bother pursuing the relationship. It can also tarnish the reputation of the affiliate, as the player having been burned once, may be deterred from using that affiliate site again. A good affiliate would apply pressure on the casino to change it's ways, as not only have they lost that conversion, they may have caused the loss of that player from clicking through to other casinos they promote, which they will probably be doing through a competing affiliate site.

One lesson for players is "always go direct" to ensure they get the best chance to see the current offers, but this does not help affiliates. It seems the casinos are expecting the affiliates to drag information about these changes out by their own efforts, rather than being kept up to date by their affiliate program.

Hi Guys & Gals,

I've noticed that there was a concern re; a minor but important detail in a free spin amount on one of our affiliated sites - in this case - KasinoKing. So I wanted to clarify.

That's correct - we are during our BBF period, and have in fact posted within the BBF thread about our updates in the No Deposit Free Spins amount etc. You may see the post here which was made on the 14th of February 2014.

And since I had seen the "Thanks" on that particular post from KasinoKing too just the day after (15th Feb), I figured that the changes in amounts would be updated accordingly on his site. Nevertheless, I've now personally updated him with the new figures, so all of the wording and banners will be replaced.

Re; live chat asking for a link - that is ofcourse in order for us to know which affiliate site it is that is showing the non-updated info, in order for us to contact them, and get the correct information updated.

Thank you, and do let me know should you have any questions that you feel I may help you out with.

Kind Regards,
Lucas
