Hi all.

For their ( Go Wild Casino ) welcome bonus I was glancing through their terms and conditions. I read a lot of terms as I write my reviews but I found this one confusing even for myself a player for the last 10 years or so. Basically players can play some games but not others but some versions of some games and not versions of other games and yeah that's confusing. The fact they have the option to void winnings is a little disturbing imo.

Counts as 100% wagering ( okay so far so good )

Slots and Fruit Machines (except all Progressive Games and Mega Spin Slot Games)
Keno
Scratch Cards

Counts towards 5% ( Okay now I'm already not sure if I would play here )

Table Poker (except Texas Hold'em Bonus Poker Gold, Triple Action Bonus Poker Gold, Cyberstud Poker, Caribbean Draw Poker Gold Series, Poker Ride and Progressive Cyberstud Poker)
Video Poker (except All Aces Video/Potwer Poker, Jackpot Deuces and SupaJax)
Blackjack (except Classic Blackjack, Atlantic City Blackjack, Vegas Downtown Blackjack, Vegas Single Deck Blackjack, Vegas Strip, Hi Lo 13 European Blackjack Gold and Triple 7s)
American Roulette

The following will count towards 0% and casino can void your winnings - I thought we were past the days of casinos being able to swipe your winnings for playing different games. Especially at a Microgaming powered casino.

Progressive Games including Progressive Slots, Roulette Royale, Caribbean Draw Poker Gold Series, Poker Ride, Progressive Cyberstud Poker, Jackpot Deuces, Triple 7s and SupaJax
Mega Spin Slot Games
Live Dealer Games (Bonus Baccarat, Multi-Player Baccarat, Roulette, Multi-Player Roulette, Multi-Player Blackjack)
Roulette (except American Roulette)
Red Dog
Casino War
Sicbo
Vegas 3 Card Rummy Gold
Craps
Baccarat
All Aces Video/Power Pokers
Classic Blackjack
Atlantic City Blackjack
Vegas Downtown Blackjack
Vegas Single Deck Blackjack
Vegas Strip
Hi Lo 13 European Blackjack Gold
Jacks or Better Video/Power Pokers
Texas Hold'em Bonus Poker Gold
Cyberstud Poker
Triple Action Bonus Poker Gold
Max Damage Alien Attack
Multi Player Tournaments (MPV)

I only write this post not to stir the shit pot with the casino but we have all seen how a small post like this often gets the casinos attention and pushes them to make positive changes.

The quick and easy fix, is to auto disable any disallowed games while a bonus is active on the account. Which many casinos do. I'm sure casinos know this, and that overly complicated list is nothing more than a way to trip up players.

I prefer 3dices setup, which allows you to play whatever you want to. Bet size it auto limited for certain table games.

I haven't played at my normal RTGs in a while, but I remember being able to play any game, and everything counting 100% towards playthrough. I never understood why something like blackjack, or roulette would count 100% but I didn't complain.

I'm a fan of casinos that allow any game to be played with the understanding that each may carry a different wagering requirement. This is done at casinos like 32red and the rewards group for sure so I know it can be done.

The terms for the Go Wild bonuses vary too much and require different playthrough amounts depending on the bonus.

If the Go Wild Rep should read this I would suggest the following.

Get that " can will void winnings" crap off your website. it's 2013 not 1994

Make the playthrough for all bonuses the same. Not 35x for some and 40x play through for others.

Re-write your terms and conditions so people that are not rocket scientist can make something out of them.

Everybody knows why casinos write such confusing terms but players do notice and you will lose customers.

Thanks

.....and yet they have their followers.

I agree software interventions should be standard. Problem is that it is virtually impossible to implement such things when we are talking about % of bonus bet limits etc....there would have to be a standard bet max for everyone taking that bonus, which would mean some might be able to bet 50%+ of their bonus and others 5% which is unfair.

Given that most software doesn't have many safeguards, it is up to the player to perform due diligence. If people are making choices about where to play without checking out the terms....and plenty of them are....then IMO they should suffer whatever consequences come about as a result.

I've played at probably thousands of casinos over the years and have NEVER had money confiscated for breach of terms....even as a newb. Why? I read the terms before I play. Its SO SIMPLE.

I've always said...the time to complain and whine about crappy terms is BEFORE you play not AFTER. It's not about being an experienced player, its about using one's brain and employing some common sense.

I wouldn't actually say those terms were terrible....most of the exclusions are fairly standard. Again, if you are a BJ player, you would just jot down the variants you can't play, and you're golden. Simple.

Yes, these terms are very confusing. They actually restrict 99% of all non-slot games. I was glad to check now and see that Go Wild are not accredited here. And hope their cashflow problems continue forever.

This is probably their intent, but they are deliberately over complicating the matter so that it can APPEAR to be a bonus where "most games" can be played, rather than purely a slots bonus.

If they banned just a couple more games, it could become a pure slots bonus, and the terms could collapse to "100% - all slots except progressives and megaspin, keno, scratchcards ; 0%, all other games"

I can't really figure out what the problem is with the megaspin slots, as they are the SAME GAMES as their single play relatives, and playing a 6 up megaspin slot is no different to playing 6 single play slots in 6 separate windows in terms of outcome.

They have also banned MPV tournaments, but this is enforced by the software anyway, bonus funds CANNOT be used to purchase a rebuy or continue in any case.

The best thing is to see the offer for what it really is, a slots only bonus, and then only the first three lines of those terms become relevant.
