North Korea and US politics

Mmm, Europe has seen a rise before of ONE MASSIVE far right party... (I believe it was between 1933-1945)... not sure if common sense prevailed back then but it sure as hell brought nothing but pain, blood and carnage.
Also I’d not say far right so much..
Our mass murdering German friends back then had socialist/commy views...

Actually, regardless of their supposedly 'commy views' (incidentally the Nazis killed many Germans who were communists and everyone else not agreeing with their dangerous views)..., the roots underlying the rise of Hitler and his fascist party can be found at least a century before that... with nationalism (against which Goethe had warned over and over again).

Everything
starts small.

The Nazis, in their opinion, defended their thought, their culture, their perspective of religion against what they considered to be the enemy...

There is freedom of religion in Europe. What do you mean by defending?
Bigotry always spreads much faster than peaceful dialogue.

By defending I mean Christian values and ideals.
And the repression of Islam across europe. Let’s be totally honest, how many Islamic members do we have here whom regular take part?..
I’ve worked on the oil rigs years never met one..
Unless you want taxi or kebab they offer nothing generally speaking.
Also your long post holds no weight regard my earlier response.
I’ve not defended the nazi party or tried to, I almost certainly don’t need a explanation of what they did.
Again someone taking out of context what a nazi actually is.

I think nationalism always carried a bit more potential for conflict in europe because there were only land borders, and so you had disputes about boundaries etc.. And it was the leaders and aristocracy who always started the wars not really the average person with an allegiance to his country of birth.

Hitler used politics as a platform to mobilise an army etc.. he removed the democracy from 1933 I think and gave himself dictatorial powers, whereas the conservative parties gaining support in Europe are all based on popularity at the ballot box. I don't think any are advocating military action. It's actually the EU, which the new left and liberals seem to support, that wants a new army that can reach into places like north africa.

The parallel is that by analogy the Nazis had similar sentiments (but then on a much larger, and evil scale) about other peoples, in that they "didn't generally contribute much either", like you suggest is the case for British citizens devoted to Islam, other than the average taxi driver or kebab seller.

I don't imply at all that you want to start a war or kill people. But how should I interpret your statement of "the repression of Islam"? Hopefully not in the manner the Nazis once did with regard to "the repression of the Jews".

considering how much stuff gets made in china, you seem to be doing better, things have taken an upturn. Savers still get no interest on savings [same here in the uk] whereas interest rates and wages were in relative terms higher in the past. [so comparing economic performance of business to years past is more complicated]

I do see an improvement but not quite matching the 50's and 60's, 80's... if apple manufactured solely in the US and Nike, microsoft, hp etc.. then I think it would be a boom time for the workers. that's the interest of the voting public, how well they are doing, rising and high share prices are okay, like apple's, but it doesn't necessarily mean the average joe has a better standard of living as a result.

Best to either be well off or poor in the US. Middle class are shrinking because while raises are now rising, they are not keeping up with inflation.

Well off people can absorb rising costs, poor people are eligible for government benefits.

Its a mathematical certainty, if inflation is 3% a year and a workers pay raise is 2% a year their standard of living will decline.

I don't think he wants to repress it, just doesn't want to expand it into his yard.

And trump talking to Putin about how it was a Russian hoax. When it’s been proven by our intelligent agencies they interfered in the 2016 elections on his behalf.

Again, he chooses another country over ours.

Finally there's something I agree with Trump/Pence...back to the moon and more money to NASA *\o/*

I don't know if republicans want any votes from women. They've really been watching handmaid's tale and learning how to do things from it :p
At least so far Trump hasn't used his skills as a businessman and ruined US economically...but he's really trying!

I'm not sure man ever put a foot on the moon in the first place, it was part of a propaganda battle against the commies, to show them the USA was more successful and advanced

It looks far too 'tin foily' and fragile to survive space travel, the van allen belt etc

They tried to make it so life like and real, they sent them to the moon to make it look more real.

during my lengthy and extensive research of the moon landing [10 mins this morning ] the date 1969 struck a chord in my fossilised cortex, hold on that was right in the middle of the unpopular vietnam war, so could the moon landing have also been intended/used to distract the public and get that conflict off the front pages for a while?

Another aspect of whether you could always trust the government during that period of time was the JFK assassination findings 1963-64, the warren commission, which concluded that mosley was the only shooter that day, many have cast doubt on this. [Single-bullet theory etc..]

I've just looked up the distance to the moon 384,000 kilometres, so there and back 768,000 kms, do you really believe this vehicle could fly that massive distance, also land and take off etc...sorry silly question of course you do

Silly little me for believing, thank God I have you to enlighten me.

Did you know that photo you show is just one piece of three of the ship.

Also you might wanna look up Israeli moon mission. That ship looks exactly like the one the USA sent up. The Israeli ship is from last year. It failed to land due to not having an backup electrical system.

Don’t stop believing....

what about the video I posted of the astonauts talking and the van allen belts etc...no comment from yourself on that?

regarding this israeli moon mission, were there any astronauts aboard/involved?

I must admit I'm still willing to believe that the 1969 moon landing might've happened, but it's probably only 25% I'm afraid...

The Van Allen belt is deadly if you stay there, but you wouldn’t be killed just travelling through it. A lethal dose of radiation is 300 rads in an hour, the Apollo Astronauts were exposed to 2 rads for the entire trip (there and back).

Apparently the moon is 400 times closer to the sun, the temperatures can range between 260 degrees fahrenheit and minus 280 f [so -173c to 127c ] these are very extreme temperatures.

so at 14.33 secs, this smaller pod craft launches back off the moon and flies all that distance back to earth 384,000 km, through the radiation belts etc...

the smaller pod left the moon and went back to the command module which went through the radiation belts.

That was a good little video and I love the idea of it, men flying to the moon, but I still think we just didn't have the technology to be able to do this.

At 4.10 secs in the vid the module launches off the moon at the exact right time to be in line with the last remaining part of the rocket [command module] orbiting overhead, the astronauts get back inside and then discard the lunar module and then fly back home at thousands of miles per hour back through the van allen belts etc...

I don't think we even had casio digital watches in those days, yet they could perform all these manoeuvres in space and achieve advanced technical tasks with 1960's equipment. I think it was played out like a rehearsal, as if it were possible, but it was roleplay by the nasa folk.

However I respect people who still believe it as factual, grew up in america with the excitement and stories about it, I know there is a lot of pride re NASA and it's work/achievements and great reputation through the years.

I think you are putting too much emphasis on the spaceship.

Remember even Mr Spoon could get to Button Moon in a spaceship made from a tin of beans:eek2:
