Nordscasino Confiscated My Winnings – False VPN Accusation

Thanks for the info, I really appreciate it. I’ll look into the European Small Claims Procedure as a possible option. It’s frustrating to see so many people facing the same issue with LCS, but it’s good to know there are some potential legal avenues. If anyone has experience with ESCP or any other successful resolution, I’d love to hear more. Again, thanks for the support!
I got my money back!

They said their detection tools flagged my own IP as VPN-related, but the "risk score" wasn’t high enough to actually justify confiscating the money. The ECC in Malta contacted them, so I’m not sure if that played a role in their decision. CasinoGuru also got involved, and I submitted a GDPR request — though they only provided my KYC documents and transaction history. Because of that, I told them I would contact the IDPC (Information and Data Protection Commissioner in Malta).

Congrats, really glad to hear you got your money back! That gives the rest of us in the same situation some hope.

I also have a case open with MADRE, and Casinomeister is investigating as well. I was accused of VPN usage too, despite never using one. Interesting that they backed down because the “risk score” wasn’t high enough — did they mention that on their own, or was it after pressure from ECC and others?

I’m considering filing a GDPR request too and maybe reaching out to ECC. Any tips on exactly what you wrote to ECC or IDPC

I'm not sure — the only communication I had with them was the GDPR request. Then CasinoGuru and ECC Malta contacted them on my behalf, so I assume they were the reason for it. I received the news directly from the casino, in the same GDPR thread. I’ll see if ECC gives me an update tomorrow, as I contacted them regarding the outcome.

I contacted ECC Denmark using their online form — I’m not sure if there’s an equivalent for ECC Sweden. I explained my situation in detail and provided the evidence I had. They then got in touch with ECC Malta, who agreed to contact the casino.

Thanks for the detailed info — really appreciate it!

I’m definitely going to look into ECC Sweden now and maybe submit a GDPR request too. Seems like coordinated pressure from different sides made a difference in your case, which is great to hear.

I’ll keep pushing on my end as well and post any updates if I make progress. Hopefully more of us will get some justice in the end.

Just a quick update: the PAB team is still trying to get a response from the casino, but they’ve been silent so far. I really appreciate the help from everyone here — especially Max. Hoping this will lead to a warning at the very least if they keep ignoring it.
