    LOL, so they send a mail and offer you a bonus deposit and when you do the deposit they say no no. Then why even offer your customers bonuses if you can't deliver? :what:

    I received a bonus offer (not the same as the one you got) as well however the terms are clearly posted, not sure the issue they always post the terms, here they are on the email at the bottom:

    Terms and conditions
    1) Bonus and winnings must be wagered 25 times before being withdrawn.
    2) Wagering on Roulette or Black Jack will not count towards the wagering requirement.
    3) Only wagering on slots will count towards the wagering of this bonus.
    4) The players have 1 day to claim the bonus. The bonus need to be wagered in 7 days.
    5) The Bonus can be used on any games displayed under 'Games'
    6) Only players from Finland, Norway and Sweden are eligible for this bonus.

    I have a similar mail and I don't find anything about only players from Finland, Norway and Sweden. The point is why send a bonus offer to someone that does not live in Finland, Norway and Sweden.

    It is very deceiving even if they do list in the terms that only certain locations are elgible. How often do people really read the terms on a deposit bonus before depositing? It certainly is wise to do such, but I for one am pretty familiar with what I am going to get in terms of playthrough. I guess I better pay closer attention for fear of claiming a bonus that is only redeemable by Females.

    IMO NordicBet should have paid back the OP's deposit OR at least offer an alternative bonus.

    I am get everyweek 2-3 emails from slotocash, good bonuses, but i know that i bonusbanned(due my country). So np. Also, i suggest op just contact nordicbet rep, i am 100% sure he will resolve it without any problems and questions.

    I should add that it is just plain lazy for an operator to send out emails to ineligible players.

    How hard is it to filter emails by country and eligibility?

    It doesn't change the fact that the terms were clearly stated and even a cursory glance would have alerted the reader to the eligible countries.

    If the op could post the email it may help, Nordicbet have been sending me a few emails with bonuses and all you do is click the Claim Bonus button, it opens up Nordicbet, you login and the deposit window pops up where you make your deposit there are no t&c listed.

    as you can see in the image it does say that t&c apply but its not even clickable and as i mentioned above once you click claim, login they are still not shown as the deposit window pops up for you to deposit.

    *I have not tried to claim any so I may or may not be eligible, just stating what happens*

    They are tricking customers with this. Its plain and simple.
    They even have your name written on the email.

    In my opinion this is equivalent of customer support giving you a deposit bonus
    and 10 minutes after depositing the management removes it because you are from bonusbanned country.

    I've been caught out a few times like that with various casinos. Emailing me, addressing me by my first name and offering me bonuses which I've tried to take up and then 'hello' its for certain countries only:mad:

    Yes, we should check terms before going there but honestly the majority of the time - your'd think well you are obviously entitled to it since you received the email and it was literally addressed to you:what:

    Anyhooo I cant see why it seems everyone else seems to get offered bonuses from Nordic and I dont and Im in that casino at least twice a week:eek:

    This was a manual mistake on our end loading the segment, which we are sorry for. In total 76 people received the email in error. I informed our support to credit the bonus to those affected, should any of them try and redeem it.

    I have been in contact with OP through PM and as far as I understand he was satisfied with the outcome.

    One way around this in future would be for players to be able to enter the code and THEN deposit. If they turn out to be ineligible, they should get an error message after entering the code, but before making their deposit. They can then make an informed choice as to whether to carry on and play anyway, rather than feeling they have been had by a bait & switch. In fact, the current method would be illegal under UK law, something that will become much more important when the new point of consumption rules come into effect. The practice of making a stock email appear to be a personal invite, and then claiming the customer cannot have the offer, is expressly forbidden under the newest incarnation of the unfair business practices legislation.

    I would not be surprised if Nordicbet closed altogether to UK players when the new rules come into force, as clearly we are not in their target market, and it would seem a waste of resources for Nordicbet to apply for a UK license, and then have to deal with all the record keeping, tax collecting, etc involved.
