No GUTS/RIZK/BETSPIN/NETENT for Canada

I dunno, being fair here I would say that if they could NetEnt would love to stay in Canada. I think this is more a problem with politics and compliance :(

We are speculating. I should just call Netent tomorrow and ask.:p.Seriously though, have you had a good look at Bill-c51? Everything on here is absolutely monitored. Without getting into details, my day to day living involves using analytics. I had to use the word government a few times. I watched Homeland Security watch me. They eventually got bored when they saw I was of no threat, but Bill-c51 has left it so open to anyone's interpretation, it makes the Bible look more concrete. And that is NOT good. I'm not going to get into a rant about it, but the system is going to eventually snap.
I'm still sitting on my Census, I thought it would be appropriate to fill my name in as the Queen.
Son. Justin Trudeau
Maid, Kathleen Wynne
Gardner, John Tory
lol.

Do not get me started on our newly anointed government......and as for my census I just filled mine out......maybe not accurately though

Yes we have a top notch casino...looks awesome...but what is the rtp of casino de Montreal?

I believe we do Steviedoo! :) Loto-Quebec ensure really Great fair Play in all our games here since it's not a private owned Casino, it's governmental, which all the stats and Regulation are Public. Either for the Employees or the players...the syndicate here are very Powerful, all employees are extremely well paid....consequently, we're getting great customers support with truly friendly VIP Services!

The RTP usually are all written directly on all machine here 90-95%+

Ok ok... Our country is not so bad...Sorry for my short temper. Rtp in montreal's casino is just as awful as the slot machines in local bars. Driving an hour to get owned by their slots is just not worth it for me. I am fed up with loto quebec's attitude toward gamblers... It's like we owe them our gambling budget and they can spit in our mouth for free in exchange. I won't ever play on espace jeux. It's runned by clueless people who graduated from their 3 years of CEGEP in administration while not knowing what doing in poker neither slots or anything gambling related. Their poker software was a joke years ago, now it's a mess. Their games choices is completly outdated. I just hate them. Customer support is even worse.

...About Espace Jeux, i'll have to agree with you...the site aint that great, need some work BUT....still waay way better than most Online Casino, and one thing for sure, as soon you win any amount regardless if it's 2k or 50k...you'll get your money Right away! Guaranteed! No hassle, No tactic of ID Verification or cheap delay excuses!

awwww....someone clearly have loss recently at the Casino huh...or maybe just need a cold one? .....i'll PM and Invite you at the Casino of Montreal if you wish Hello, i'll show you some secret spot with good machines ;)

Hahaha, I just posted that ^^^^. You were in my head!

Clearly you guys must be BFF or something huh? Posted the same thing under 30sec of interval hah!

Maybe geographically we are not deemed desirable? Meaning there is no economic viability. The States where they seem to be targeting, is. Fresh meat. Someone mentioned earlier that there would be a IP ban on Canada, that would be almost impossible.

In my own experience, None of that, it's a politic issue about gambling semi crappy bill the USA are trying to pass.....meanwhile, since we're just up north of the United States, we are simply seen as part of it.....therefore these company Prefer to avoid any problem with Canada as well...as we might adopt these same law in the near future...

Funny thing about a survey i've read recently....Question asked, most people around the world have no idea where is located the Canada, Peoples who knew it, basically answered Canada is part of America with the United states as one country!

anyways, there more to the story, but that's about it.........Hopefully this pathetic situation will be resolved soon enough.

The one thing about the online Canadian govt casinos is they cant jack with the RTP, its the same worldwide.

in BC the RTP varies based on monetary denomination, between 90 and 94%, of course the 94% is the high roller RTP, the lower 1c.

From the posts dunover mentions:

On the 7th July 2014 Netent sent out an update regarding restricted countries. Due to this, we were forced to block several countries from playing Netent games including Canada.
As we have got many complaints regarding Canada being blocked at Videoslots.com but not at other casinos, we asked Netent regarding this and how we could be compliant to offer Netent games to players in Canada.

Netent's answer was the following:
"Canada is a black-listed market where Netent games must not be offered. NetEnt has a strict zero-tolerance policy towards this. Netent is currently contacting the operators individually to remind them of their responsibility to follow their contracts, which state that no traffic from Canada should be accepted. NetEnt reserves the rights to terminate the contract and claim damage should they breach it, as illegal activities might harm NetEnt’s strategy."

This is the information that we have received directly from Netent and this is what we are following. We cannot comment on anything outside of our own business and agreements.

Thanks for all your feedback!

That would figure I guess, but it begs the question... how did NetEnt define Canada as "black list" (or is that internal company nomenclature?) when as far as I know Canada is at worst a grey market where resident corporates are not supposed to offer online gambling in competition with the various provincial governments.

A growing number of corporate deals and partnerships are seeing many companies develop connections in Canada these days and NetEnt is very active in North America.

That said, I would suggest that the decision last year really just passed the bomb to the operators and pretty much left it to them to make the decision.

I don't think that would absolve NetEnt if the legal and licensing situation became really sticky...the regulators/enforcers might ask why NetEnt didn't enforce its ban on its Canadian licensees resident in, or associated with resident Canadian companies.

Have any of you Canucks made the trip to Fallsview? Had some good hits over there and they keep trying to comp me hotel rooms now.

I must admit after having a pretty open gambling industry in the UK to going to Canada and having 90% of my accounts blocked, it's something that definitely needs looking into, even if it's just the provincial lotteries getting in on the action and allowing web based casinos. There is something truly gratifying about having your winnings show up in your bank account the same day so you can waste them in the expensive government owned alcohol stores that sells cheap nasty british cider as a premium import :p

But as has previously been said, I much preferred living in Canada. Felt a lot safer than England and the people are just super nice. Probably all the "legal" *smoking motion*

Just got the Rizk e-mail.

I did send an e-mail to Net Entertainment and they reiterated what was said earlier: Canadians were never allowed to play Net Ent in the first place. Eventually, I reckon every casino will block Net Ent in Canada in due time.

In an attempt (and probably a piss poor one) to lighten the mood over this awful news, I have a spare bedroom, complete with PC and wifi connection in a 'middle of the road' area of Wolverhampton, England.

Just any takers don't go hitting no wild lines :p (oh yeah and preferably females)

CM: Please delete this post fast if the wife logs on!

Sounds good. Oh, I have 2 large dogs, 2 cats, no problem right? :D

Suicide Mission

Just catching up to this thread. So, I thought I better get my fill on DOA before they pull the plug everywhere. Well, I ain't going to miss it. Worse session ever. Played at 9 cents, 18 cents, 27 cents. Not once did I hit a feature. Almost every spin was dead. Never seen it this bad! Well, IR got me first however so can't blame it all on DOA but it was so bad I have no desire to ever play it again.

Well, i would avoid Playing any of NetEnt game on any website...why?...the worst case is, if somehow we manage to win any decent amount$....they might use a excuse like:

Hello dear Mr Canadian

We're sorry to inform you that your 13 000$ you've won has been voided, unfortunately Canadian are not allowed to play NetEnt games.
sadly we'll have to close your account and seize all your fund!

Have a Great day sir! :D

NetEnt customers services

Yeah MrSilver. I would have to agree with you. I have never won big so it has never been an issue. I am going to miss some of the games though.

Netent games I will NOT miss: DOA

I played yesterday so that I could give it one last shot..although I am not a fan....all those wild lines I see on winner screenshots......I finally got free spins....not one wild dropped. Not one....it was less than dismal...it was down right pathetic.....

I will not miss this game at all.....

If this happened to me my biggest worry would be what other machine than Starburst I could use the last 3 cents on. Microgaming and WMS has paid me so much better than Netent lately.

Popped on here to see what was up since half my fave games at Guts were no longer there. I'll miss Jack and the beanstalk. I won't miss losing though haha. I like a couple MG games but not enough to keep me playing much.

Dear NetEnt,

Kiss my maple syrup swilling, poutine eating, hockey loving beaver tail.

Sincerely,

A perturbed Canuck.

From their statements last year, NetEnt should be sent a dictionary so that they can look up "Zero tolerance". It's anything but if more than a year has passed since Videoslots had to pull NetEnt from Canadians, but faced competing at a disadvantage to those other operators who carried on supplying NetEnt to Canadians, which gave players the impression it was just Videoslots being anal, and there was no such Canada wide NetEnt ban.

Even this time around, it's chaotic and a feeble effort by NetEnt again to enforce it's "Zero tolerance" approach. We may still see many casinos still freely offering NetEnt to Canadians, with NetEnt not really doing much about it.

Of course, with the recent proliferation of fake NetEnt games, Canadians will probably have windows of opportunity to play a pirate copy from a dodgy casino before NetEnt finds them and sends their lawyers after them.

Yeah for sure there will be poor unaware Canadian that will go for those fake netent ... And I agree with you Videoslots was doing the right thing first when they didn't allow us to play Netent... The real Problem there is that Netent never made a real Statement about Canadian not allowed to play their game... That's a shame from Netent to not have done this.... They took Advantage of us by letting Operator let us play their game while we were not supposedly allowed too... I guess they are the only one to blame about this... If you look at WMS and IGT they Clearly done it by Ip Block us playing their game sooo there was a real solution and Netent chose to not invest and put all the responsibility on operator shoulder.

2 of my Netents gone, still have 3 I am playing at, spot on VWM, just like a couple years back, something I commented about earlier in the post.
