I am new to online casinos and have a question. I started playing at slotocash and slots.LV yesterday with a small deposit to test the waters to play slots. Under the slot machines at slotocash it gives a ranking based on volatility...what does that mean?
Also, what is flushing?
On progressive slots, do you have to bet the max to trigger the jackpots? on slotsLV it says you have to, but on slotocash it doesn't say either way. Didn't know if that was the standard for progressive slots.

This is something i have wanted to do for some time as i love slots..but don't live near a casino. The whole online scene just seems really scary to me but decided to give it go finally and just pray this isn't unsafe and i don't get burned...yelp i am a nervous newbie about this whole thing. I am from the USA and indeed grateful though to the limited number of online casinos that do offer us a seat at the table that are on the up an up....i hope the two places i am playing at slotocash and slots LV are good places to trust...like i said i am new to all of this.
So far i am having fun though...just trying to understand everything.

Welcome to the nightmare of slots :)

Volatility is the game play, Hard to get features / payout, but when do there should be bigger wins, I say they should, but yet to see, Maybe somebody else can explain abit better, Low means more chance of wins but not as biog, High is harder to get wins but good pays,

With the progressive slots, It all depends, Some slots you have to bet a minimum & others not, Normally you have to bet max lines,

I see you have chosen a couple of casino that are in the accredited list Link Outdated / Removed So you should be fine,Keep to the sites on that list if you just starting out,

Also double check the rules, There are so many important ones, Max bet allowed while using bonus, Excluded games, The list can go on,

I wish you luck

Welcome to the best gaming forum on the planet :D

A few more answers:

The online slots differ between low, medium and high variance (volatility) ...the higher the variance the higher the swings between a poor and a bad run. Meaning a high variance slot can eat your balance quickly but also gives you a chance for higher wins. A low variance one will give you more small wins and hence your balance won't disappear as quick.

Flushing - when you make it to a withdrawal it usually is for the first 24-48hrs in a pending status. By asking support to flush it you bypass that pending period.

Stick to CasinoMeister accredited casinos and you won't get burned. There are a few more US facing casinos listed here than just the Sloto group.

One final tip: If you play with bonuses make sure you read ALL the terms&conditions to avoid problems with withdrawals just because you might have played a restricted slot or placed too high bets.

Good luck at the reels :D

also i see a lot of talk about taking screenshots. If you hit and the winnings are reflected in your cash total...isn't that proof that you won? i will certainly heed the suggestion about taking screenshots because i know you guys have your reasons and experiences...i just don't understand it or why it's needed if your bank shows a credit for those winnings after you hit.

we generally take screenshots to post them here on the forum and brag about our wins or cry about the near misses. :D

It is also wise to sometimes take a screenshot of Terms&Conditions if you accept a bonus.
