New Slot - Space Wars (NetEnt)

I'm going to give this serious kickabout in free play mode, there may be something that we're not seeing with it.

The RTP is solid (nearly 97%) and it has to make that up somewhere on the paytable.

I agree Chopley - There are some nice wins lurking in the RTP - Most definately. The problem is the dead spins in between.

I did over 1600 spins on 0.40c bets and it ate the balance relatively easily. Im sure up to 1000 if not more were actually dead spins.

I like the game but it chomps away at your balance. I have had a hit or two on it but nothing that would make me want to go back.

Enjoy your test run:thumbsup:

I've just played 1k spins in free mode and the biggest win was 55x. The longest I went was 26 spins without any win. Two bonus rounds which were diabolical. Man, this is dross. It's like Cashapillar with Benzedrine thrown in.

Goodness me, and I'm done with this slot :eek2:

6000 spins in a single session, and all I can say is I'm glad it wasn't real money.

Finished down at €4340 from a starting balance of €5000, wagering 80c per spin. (So wagered €4800 and lost €660.)

I had it set to quick spin with animations turned off, just to hurry it along, stop trigger was a relatively modest 150x stake (€120).

In 6000 spins it didn't hit that stop trigger once, it did crest 100x several times, but at no point was I in profit and TBH once you're more than 150x stake or more down from your starting position, it's hard to see how you'll ever pull it back.

It mashed through the first €450 scarily quickly, but then seemed to stabilise for about three thousand spins, just sort of edging down thereafter.

They seem to have taken the 'standard Netent pay profile' (billions of wins under 50x stake) but instead of dishing them out in constant 1-5x stake pays or around 10x pays, it's far more weighted towards 20-50x pays (which is where that horrible suction can come from, without any compensating decent wins), also with that derisory MEGA SUPER WIN nonsense kicking in at a ridiculously low multiplication of stake to make it look like you're doing well.

Very poor - come on Netent, must try harder - give us a slot with some decent damn pays on it! Seriously, I'd rather play a standard medium variance WMS slot at Jackpot Party's 92% RTP, than bang my ahead against the 96.8% wall of doom that Netent appear to have concocted here.

I gave it a few spins last friday, but hit it in the middle ( or at the start) of a dry spell, no wins at all for the first 23 spins, only peanuts after that, after 50 spins I ran for the hills.

It gave me a Starbust-feeling, with the stacked symbols and the INSANE dry spells..

I make that a RTP of 86.8% for your 6k spins. Piss poor, but not chronic. It would obviously need a good run of the 30-50x stake wins overlapping on your next 6k spins to reach the alleged 96.8%.

It feels like super high variance to me - makes me think of Bruce Lee; major hits are very few and far between.

Except this appears to be capped at 1000x stake? (On the lowest stake it's 40p per spin, with the top symbol (the red crystal thingy) paying £10 per line on 40 lines, which gives a £400 jackpot, which is 1000x stake. Bruce can do 2500x stake and more, (has been videoed/screencapped), I've personally had 1650x stake and it's probably got 3500x stake or more in there.)

Also, even if Space Wars is a higher variance slot, at least Bruce has regular decent hits of 150-300x stake on the paytable to keep it more interesting as you'd expect a high variance slot to be.

Seriously, you will not get to 6000 spins on Bruce Lee without breaching 150x stake on several occasions, and wins around 300x stake aren't that unusual.

Whereas Bruce will do a single 300x hit, Space Wars will do six 50x hits spread out over hundreds of spins.

Got 25 free spins at Redbet (€0.40/spin) and I won €0.12 total. 24 dead spins and one spin @ 0.3x stake. That was pretty funny.

Thats a bit like Elements..

Tried the game last weekend, like the rest, got tired of all the dead spins it produces.
After 70 spins with hardly any return I decided to run for the hills and blow the rest on DOA, which was, as usual, happy to take it.

I'm done with NetEnt really.
Too many endless dry spells, too little wins that matter..

I tried this slot at Klaver with 10 free spins (thanks!)
After that I deposited EUR 200 and gave it a go at 80 cents at first, later at EUR 2 per spin because it ran good.

The appeal of this slot (when it runs good) is that you know that sometimes the respin gives good wins and you dont have to wait for a bonus game so that there is plenty of action.

Biggest win EUR550 for the chrystals. Ran up my balance from 200 to 1250, and back down to 800 before i cashed out for a nice profit.

I'll lob 10K spins at this now and then.

The one thing I will say for it is that it's a fast running slot that requires zero interaction except when it hits the stop trigger.

It managed over 150x stake (just about) in 10,000 spins.

Thats just Friggin SICK IMPO - 10 000 Spins for 150x Bet ??? I mean you would probably think you'd get a decent win on that type of sample size. - Congrats NetEnt - You've managed to create the Alien Version of Robin Hood... LOL.

I'll do this 10K thing a few more times, but I think you've basically got Starburst2 when it comes to pays on this slot.

I'll be interested to see how close to the theoretical 1000x pay it ever gets, I put over 300,000 spins through Starburst and the closest I ever got to the theoretical max 500x pay was 270x.

I can only assume Netent are making money out of these slots one way or another, but I'm buggered if I can work out who the hell plays them.

I quite like Starburst - it's a low variance slot which can easily help you push your balance up a bit with just a little bit of luck.

But this new Sparse Warts, or whatever it's called, is just a stinking heap of bats droppings as far as I can see. If I never play it again it will be a day too soon...
I'd rather play Microgaming's Reel Strife or Gift Crap - and that is REALLY saying something! :eek2:

Honestly KK, if you look at the pay distribution on Starburst and compare it to Space Wars, I think they're very similar.

Both of them are capable of 'enriched runs' if you get lucky and hit those regular 20-50x stake or thereabouts wins, but otherwise it's all downhill.

The weighting on them is perhaps different (Starburst more towards 20x, Space Wars more towards 50x), but once you get to 100x I really don't think there's much in it.

got 10 free spins from redbet and got a nice spin/respin with red crystals and wilds for 32 euro pay, kept playing after free spins and that $32 vanished quicker than a set of testicles touching ice

You've got a 'set' have you? Lucky sod, I was only born with 2.
