Hi, at one casino, belonging to the palace group, I 100x my deposit.
    How (un)likely is that?

Looking backing that seems an aweful lot of luck.
Having made 5k from 50 bucks, I somehow got it into my head
that I should win me 500k - one more time 100x my bankroll.
    Of course I busted.
Still,to this day I didn't even get close to such an accomplishment
and I believe I was set up by the casino.
I can't be sure, but I only played slots and basically had an uninterrupted winning streak. Utter madness!

Now i want to take a break with slotting cause lately it's a loosing game to me. I don't even understand anymore how anyone could win; of course, that's how things are.
Or are they? I'm not talking about hitting a jackpot, then obviously it's possible to be a winning player. I think there should be a few players, that even though the don't play the jackpot slots come out winning. Just because they are the lucky few. Or is that mathematically impossible?
I don't think so. Sure, it's unlikely. But some slotters get lucky.

No, that's not what I meant.
I just wonder what the odds are to 100x multiply your deposit.
    Seems a bit fishy
And now I'm stuck with a wild desire to repeat it.:what:
Won't chase it anymore , though!

Can't imagine anyone of us got into this pastime by having a bad opening run.

I think the OP has a valid point, if a little paranoid.

My first 9-10 deposits at MG download casinos (Cinema Casino, Jackpot City, Go Wild) were ALL losing deposits.

It wasn't until I'd been playing 4-5 months that the withdrawals started to come, basically as I gained experience of which games gave you a 'fighting chance'

It eventually got to the stage where I bet Go Wild wished I'd never joined :p

Back to can't hit a bean now most days and others a NDB or few left over pence turns into a cash out.

Swings and roundabouts whether a new player or old IM(humble)O

Well it's just conjecture, everyone's experiences are different.

    I stand corrected!

I stopped losing constantly after I stopped playing Immortal Romance, Thunderstruck, jane, hitman. Once I got away from them and went to others I had a lot more playing time and an actual fair mount of cashouts.

I do have a guilty pleasure of playing the argyle open. Thats such a huge money sucker its crazy. But for whatever reason I love it

You spoke just like a new player, I went through the same phase you are going

My first ever deposit was 10 which won me 120 and i thought great, my next 20 deposits ranged from 50-100 and all lost because i just didnt know better

Anyways, stick with the accredited casinos and play responsibly, never bet more than u can afford because it just gets worst from there

Also if u have a chance of a withdrawal when u have had 5x ur deposit, take it and use it at 5 different sites with a bonus giving u greater playtime and great chance of a big hit

Yeah I don't think winning 120 from 10 is really comparable to 5K from 50, problem with such a disproportionate early win is that it will build up an expectation to high- roller early on cause the player to attempt to emulate this feat......

I would think *most* slotters started off low- rolling and so a relative withdrawal of a couple of hundred seemed like a big deal. I even remember the days I would withdraw £20 and consider that a satisfactory outcome.

Winning 5K straight off the bat is strange and would skew my outlook on slots and gambling in general and is definitely a dangerous thing in my mind

yeah i understand that but what i wanted to stress was that even such a lowly outcome skewed my expectations so much that my deposits went big straightaway and so did my betsize expecting the big win any spin but now i would not deposit a 100 at a casino same day i had a withdrawal i normally give it a week and deposit my normal 20-30 quid

I just wish i had found CM b4 i found online slots as some of the members especially nifty29 helped me understand slots a lot better

My slot choice was very poor as well whr i used to play 99% of my deposit on marvel slots which as i didnt know better had an rtp% of only around 93-94%

Grats on your big win and quite unfortunate that it ended up being a bust in the end. I don't think you were set up by the casino though because if you cashed out that $5k instead of going for more this story would have a different (and more happy) ending and your view would change.

I'll give you a link to an interesting article on the wall street journal website about 'how often do gamblers really win?' might give you some perspective on the odds that most regular gamblers face - You must register/login in order to see the link.

In short in the long term everyone knows gambling is a losing cause if you are playing to earn money and the more you invest in it the worst your odds become of getting out on top. Its mathematically possible to come out on top but its highly unlikely that you will in the long term - in the short term your odds are better. If you happen to win big after not playing so much and call it quits then you can walk away a winner. The other alternative is to keep playing until you win big but by then most likely you would have just been winning back money you lost to get there.

So just play for 'entertainment' with money you can afford to lose anything else and your playing for the wrong reasons. Easy to say but hard to think about when you keep losing deposits after deposits!

And oh my very first ever deposit was at $20 at Spin Palace and I took a 100% bonus offer at x30 or x35 (what made me take it was I got a call from them and they convinced me it was a special offer just for me - I was quite easily fooled :p). Won up to about $400 before trying to withdraw and realized the max I could was x6 my deposit ($120). Not sure what the odds are on very first ever deposits winnings but it would not surprise me if it could be setup by casinos. Had I lost I very much likely would have not played online slots for at least a few months because I was not even sure what I was doing and I was not that amused by the x6 withdrawal limit and other T&C that spin palace never bothered to let me know about.

    Interesting.
My first experience was with Palace Group casino and I did something similar and never come close since.
I basically hit jackpots on about 7 different games (500xbet and up) and had lots of other good wins, I couldn't miss no matter the game but I kept switching to roulette where I couldn't hit number so my balance would go up from 20 to 500 back to 100 (roulette) back up to 500 (slots) and repeated about 3 times.

For reference I was hitting wins like 5 wilds in Avalon (normal play) and 5 women including wild in Loaded on freespins and I only used to play 9 lines back then!
I have hit the odd decent hit in the million/s plus spins since but never so many crazy impossible through a session of a few hours.

This going back many years so I'm only giving a rough account of events but the slots in general tended to play much better back then IMO anyway. I could prove it if only MG would give me stats. :D

I was already a big slot player anyway so it wasn't that had me hooked but is a remarkable coincidence, especially when you consider it was the same group.

That's how it was with me. We are talking about a night's worth of slotting!
I could not lose! Any slot i touched went golden.

Someone mentioned the spinpalace promo and the withdrawal restrictions.
I have no idea if i took that and if my 5k were valueless anyway because
I would not be able to withdraw them?
I think the balance was shown as real money, not bonus money - I'm not sure, though.

Admittedly, I upped my bet size, it still seems real crazy, though.
Well, the rest of this year I will check out the forum but I won't play for cash.
Gotta give a lil of that good old REST. ;)

Taking a break is good especially when getting a bad run. I do it more than I ever have done in the past these days.
Makes when I do gamble more enjoyable without any stress. Without worrying what has been lost. Thats why the newer
built in functions such as deposit limit settings work really well. Im on a weeks break ;) cant deposit at my fave casinos
as set my deposit limit to next to nothing. Helps greatly especially if been out on the lash ! makes it safe n fun.

Every casino I play at now has the responsible gambling settings which work really well without having to close down an account. There will always be another day ;)

I dont know, seems sometimes for some maybe, being new to a Casino, they have better RNG... like I said in another thread, example like tonight with my fiance... he plays at Guts, now, because I play there, he has only played there like 3-4 weeks or so, and plays immortal romance because I do ...... and tonight he got his first ever 4 wild desires... Ever.

I playing there like 1.5 yrs, mostly IR weekly and never seen 4 or more. Pisses me right off... then when you watch and read threats etc on people joining up somewhere new, and few deposits or few weeks and land something good :/

I love Guts but I am done I thin, very sour sook tonight I am
