Well... Isn't that a hint of the Owners names?:p

Soon we will have Nate&Nifty's Casino... Simmo&Max's Casino and Jack&Jills Casino...

Are people running out of originality?

If i remember right they are a pretty ok Netent casino, so it might be worth to try out the free spins. But i agree that the name is a bit weird. I've seen bingo sites with worse names though.

Atleast its original. Talking about names comeon.com has a pretty cool twitter feature where they post everyone who talks about them on twitter on their site. Only thing it that they must have that comeon is used pretty mutch, so if you post "come on united!" on twitter, their app with think its about them and post it on their site :p

Half of the world have ran out of originality years ago. Most retarded things must be different shops who take their name from their location, and then move to a new place with the old name. I like how they do it on the typical vacation places though "spirits and cigarette market". Spelling errors in business names are also a win.

Agreed... In some cases, the NAME is what made the business famous. Dropping it, although location has changed, could have a harsh impact on the business.

It's been around for quite a long time.
I thought the name was pretty stupid too.

There's another daft named NetEnt one which has put loads of ads on UK TV - Harry Casino.
Here's one of their ads:

Being NetEnt I would expect them to be pretty decent casinos - but I haven't tried them yet...

OK, perhaps they are milking their silly names which is actually clever considering all the competition for the Non-US market. The commercial is funny. With so many players--they need something to set themselves apart. If it is stupid names and silly commercials, and it works, then more power to them.

I cannot even imagine a TV Ad here in the state for an Online Casino. You see what happened with Poker Stars.

It is a daft name for an online casino site, but here we all are...discussing it!

Verajohn.com actually has three software platforms - NetEnt as has already been mentioned, and also Betsoft and Microgaming, so there's quite a diversity of games on their cluttered landing page.

The new casinos that are tied to Affactive really have some pretty stupid names.

Onbling?

Loco Panda? :notworthy

I am gonna start a casino and call it:

I Have Way Too Many Kids to Come up With a Clever Name Casino, I'll probably go with Top Game, they'll let anyone use their software! :D

Harry's Casino Commercial reminds me a little of this . . .

I don't know if this irritating commercial aired outside of the US, but back in 2006-2007, it was ingrained in the minds of anyone who watched TV. So very simple--so very stupid. Ahhh, but so VERY effective. They made a mint.

So how about an online casino commercial fashioned after the same model. The possibilities are endless. How about: Come on, deposit at Vera & John! Come on, Deposit at Vera & John!

This is going to be a good thread..

My vote would have to be for Pamper Casino. That is a weapons-grade stupid name.

Never have I been tempted to email a casino for no other purpose other than to tell them that their name is horrible.

Oh yes, Vera & John.

Never tried them myself. But I just read something about them on a Norwegian poker forum.

One Norwegian player decided to try out Vera & John by using his credit card. Vera & John does not accept Norwegian credit cards but they allegedly allow Norwegian players to play on credit. This guy "deposited" by filling in his social security number and other personal information. His account was credited with funds and he later (some days later) received a BILL by MAIL

If this is the case, then it is completely unacceptable.

I found it so amazing so I contacted their CS now and they actually confirmed this. They will send Norwegian players a BILL in the mail.

This is a big red flag in my opinion. If this is correct, then I would recommend players to stay far away from these guys.

Just some other notes.

They are (according to their site) owned by a Costa Rica based company. This is quite unusual by an operator who offer Net Entertainment games.

I see they also have applied for a Danish gambling license. I checked Spillemyndigheden (Danish Gambling Authority) and yes, they have a Danish license. But only a "restricted revenue license" which means they only can have revenues up to about EUR 120 000 from Danish players. Fair enough of course, but I was a bit surprised by this.

Pamper was pretty rubbish it must be said. I am sure they thought people would assume they'd be "pampered" but most people I know immediately think of a babies nappies!

Vera & John and Harry casino are also odd names but for me the prize for all-time worst name would be "Shark Casino". That was a Ratner-style decision.

There was another online casino a few years back that offered credit - I can't remember for the life of me who it was. I seem to recall that they didn't just 'offer' credit, they pretty well forced it on you if you signed up.

Yeah Pamper was a stupid name - since it's supposed to be for adults, they should have called it 'Depends Casino'! ;)

I think the stupidest name with the worst connotations was GoldStream

How would they enforce payment:confused:

They are clearly doing this because they are not supposed to be taking money from Norwegian players, so any that lose just don't pay, and those that win DO pay in order to get their withdrawal. The ONLY way this can work is by using some means to screw over those players that DO pay up, such as by getting them to pay, and THEN telling them that their cashin is voided for some reason.

How would they enforce payment:confused:

Good question.

And the answer is that they have no opportunity to enforce payment within Norway for Norwegian customers.

We have a very clear (and old) law from 1902 regarding gambling debt in Norway:

- It is illegal to grant somebody credit for gambling purposes
- Collection agencies are not allowed to collect gambling debt
- Debt who comes from gambling (if it has been given despite the law) is not valid and the person who has been given this credit is not responsible for this debt.

We have had many cases in Norway regarding this law, mostly about players with credit card debt. And the players have always won in cases where banks have approved MCC 7995 transactions.

I see that Vera & John is licensed in Costa Rica. Yeah.
