New Mg-slot "Lord of the rings"

Or maybe I should just listen to Webzcas and quit my whining ;)
A few minutes ago I hit this betting 0,90$ a spin

Still not sure if I really like this slot, maybe just a few more spins :p

Something weird happened to me when I was playing this at All Jackpots - I didn't have much $ so I was betting low - $.30 per spin, I spun twice and then the next spin I see a jump in my balance and I realized that it did a max bet spin - $6. Which would have been ok if I won, but I didn't. I wasn't using the keyboard, I was using the mouse and my cursor was on the spin button, I wasn't moving it around.

Has anyone else experienced this? I tried playing for fun and it seemed to work fine. The only thing I can think is that maybe I leaned forward and brushed the space key on my keyboard....?

I had the same thing happen to me, but it was from changing the cinematic spins, when I turned it off it reset my bet to $6. I lost on that spin.

Well I've played LOTR quite a bit now and have to say that while graphically I really like it, I'm finding it's starting to sink down my list of games that I log in to play. TS & TS2 are still ruling MG for me and Great Blue, Rome & Glory, Irish Luck and Fantatsic 4 on Playtech are all sucking me back.

I don't think it has the "excitement" value to keep you going back once you're over the wow factor. I think the problem is the boring 1x multipliers on the wilds and in the free spins plus the annoyance of a 5oak paying less than your bet. You get to realise that without regular stacked wilds on multiple reels, even in the free spins, there's no other way of winning on this game and that takes away the fun IMO. Will probably dip in and out from time to time when the other games are being mean maybe.

As many others I was really impressed with the graphics in the beginning, but the cinematic spins gave me a nausea feeling after a while, and the game is rather boring.
Because of the stacked wilds its not as ultimately boring as TS2, but still boring.
At least with this game it is possible to win more than 33x your bet in normal spins.
For the rest its just another 243-ways slot.
Definately not my cup of tea.

One thing I found to be really irritating is that as soon as I disabled the cinematic spins, the game started to throw in quick spins between the normal spins.
I dont like it when all the reels land practically at the same time.
Every 3-5 spins it threw in a quickspin.
Don't think I'll ever play it again.

I love LOTR so I like this slot too, and love the free spins! Got 20 ish no-deposit free spins in gowild and won about 60€. Very nice surprise :) Often I wont get any wins though, but its not a problem if I change game when isn't in the mood, helps always :D

good Luck to all

only wish I could play the new games. They take my deposit but don't allow me to play progressives of new games.

that is why I play very few microgaming casinos.

The more I play this slot the more I come to the conclusion this slot basically is a very high variance slot and when it goes bad it goes really really bad. And then it is a very boring and frustrating slot to play.

But the same goes for Break da Bank or Deck the halls. When they pay, these slots are the best. But when they don't it is just pure slot-hell...:(

Facts for tonight:

626 spins * 0,90$ = 563$ wagered. Lost 330$. Payout percentage: 40%
Number of free spins bonus rounds hit: 0 :eek2:

After a few more sessions Ill give my final verdict.
The game can be brutal, but that goes for pretty much every slot.

What truly sucks are the free spins, managed once to get 22xbet with a retriggered feature. The extra wild surprisingly never lands so it would create a good win. Actually if I recall it right every single time I had 2 stacked wilds it landed on one of them. Ok, its not "random" where it lands but enough is enough.

And at least I think its extremely boring. Plus the only "graphics" it has is the 10-A symbols.

Probably wont play it again in the near future if ever. Still its way better than TS2 and TR2. From 1-10 Ill give it 6+. It has a stop button after all.

Not just at MG

For a bit now, I've been getting a pop-up when I leave Bet365 (Playtech) to play Lord of the Rings. Yesterday I went to see what they had, and it is the same game! I did not make any paytable comparisons as yet.

At Bet365 it is playable in Flash on the Games Server, and there are some differences in sound. It has a reel sound when the reels are spinning, and a little tick when they stop. I think this adds to the perception that you are playing a video slot, and that sense of expectation we slot lovers enjoy.

No big wins, I hit one bonus round with a $7.12 win on .60 bet.

But I thought I would let those Playtech players know that it is available at Bet365, check your favourite Playtech!

Yup MG are licensing this one out. Its at bet365 in the Games section and at Virgin neither of whom are direct MG licencees.

Microgaming has changed it's exclusive games licensing policy and is now part of an industry trend that sees games from different developers available on the same platform.

Virgin is a good example, constantly reporting the addition of new games from a range of providers - including Microgaming.
