Hiya: I just got back from my local BOA, doing a deposit. The bank Mgr. knows me, "must have heard of me on the internet" hehehehe:rolleyes:

He showed me their new add on to the ATM Machine. You swipe your debit card, and you can deposit cash. A little door open up, counts the money, and you just verify the deposit on the screen. But, YOU CAN ALSO DEPOSIT A CHECK THIS WAY. It READS the check, displays the $, and you verify it. As long as the check actually, Clears, everything is done electronicly.

This means no handing a check from a Casino to a cashier, and having her say, "wait one moment please", and being asked by the Mgr. where the check came from......

How do you know that the machine won't say, in a robotic voice "One moment please........":D

Surely, if the bank is suspicious, they will phone you to ask the questions. All you avoid is the public spectacle of your check being queried by the cashier.

Hiya: That is true, but from different posters here, it would seem some are, "just trying to avoid answering any questions in public". It is much easier to say the check is from your internet based venture, over the phone, vs doing it eye to eye with a bank manager.

And because it was done electronically, i would think it is has a greater chance of avoiding anyone asking about it. It is also not on hold, and credited to the account instantly.

Well, it's not a big news. I'm using these nachines really A LOT, because this is the easiest way to load your debit card with money. And it's pretty easy to implement :) I know what I'm saying, because now I'm working at the company which develops software for paying terminals (Sagem, Ingenico, Verifone etc.) for ATMs and cash machines (that's how we name these machines) :)

> You swipe your debit card, and you can deposit cash

would anyone know if those ATMs allow any debit card to be used, or is it restricted to cards issued by the particular bank running the ATM (in this case BoA)?

If there is no restriction, has anybody loaded a foreign card (issued outside the US) successfully with cash through this procedure?

I have a BOA account, and have tried to deposit my intertops and bodog checks in the atm--hasn't worked-had to deposit at the cashier-i assume because the checks were drawn on canadian banks.

Thanks for posting that. I have a check coming from 3 dice, and i will see if it will let me deposit it. If not, then this will have been another useless thread i started........hehehe.

F BOA's nosy ass! They really do that? I just use QT and have money wired to my account. Don't even have to see anyone or even the bank.

You can take 3D's "check" to the post office. F the bank. No wonder everyone's all up in our business with all these numskulls taking online casino bank drafts to B of Effing A.

You can also develop a relationship with the owner of a locally owned check cashing store. Sure, check cashers and QT costs a few points but I thought I was doing something by being discreet and not making matters worse for everyone by staying the hell away from banks with any tracable winnings. Huh! Look at all the money I wasted!

Questions

When you get a check from an online casino what is the usual payers name on the check? Is it a casino name? Something less detectable?

How indepth is the questioning done by BOA?

What's the deal with taking a check to the post office??

Curious, never gotten a paper check from and online and would like to be prepared if I ever DO get to cash one out (in the old days used Neteller direct to bank account).
Thanks all!

I can't remember the payers' names, maybe have cashed checks 4 times--something very generic--"abc" company. I have never been questioned by the bank-ever.

Hiya: I have gotten a lot of checks. And no matter where it came from, it never had any mention of a Casino on it. Even the check from 3dice was mailed from Ca. Other checks are actually draw from banks in the USA, or Canada.
