I just found out tonight that my Netspend card (reloadable Visa) WILL NOT WORK with:

Pokerstars
Doylesroom
Bodog

I know for a fact that it used to work for Stars and Bodog...Did they recently change processors, or did they get flagged by Netspend??? I hope it's not the latter.

Poker rant - I'm through with online poker.

Nah, I got it to work elsewhere. Oh well.

And all I have to say is )(#$*@)#($*@#$ online poker. I'm finished.

What the fck do you have to play? $50/$100NL before the fish get too scared to play?

I'm sick and fcking tired of every single fish calling pot/all-in bets with NOTHING - no draws, NOTHING - and catching runner-runner straight/flush/whatever to win the pot. .10/.20 I can understand. .25/.50 I can halfway understand. $.50/$1? Starting to get rediculous. $1/2? C'mon....

I make more money at AC. Online fish are just too much for me. They're too fcking lucky...or I'm just too unlucky, either or.

Adios virutal poker....the fish can have fun with their bingo games. The offline fish pay you off much better anyways.

The hand that broke the camels back:

6 seat .50/1NLH. I'm SB. I get pocket T's. I raise to 5.5, everyone folds to mr. fish to my right. He calls. Flop comes Tc3c5c. I push all in with 10 more. Mr. fish calls. Turn K, River Q. No other club to be found. Hey, he shows AJos...NO CLUBS. Sure, maybe it was almost a race in the beginning, but NOT after the flop. Idiot calls 10x BB with not even a draw.

:waves:

Damn, and a couple of months ago it was a good time:what:

Wouldn't it be sweet if there was a software for poker and other multi-participant games that you could just invite people to play on? A true virtual casino... just a thought.

Tear 'em up in AC:thumbsup:

Sure, it was a good time when the fish weren't catching, but now that they are, I'm gone. :p

Time to spend that awesome mind on better things than donks and fish.

Know what I'd dig? Watching your avatar moving his chips around a craps or roulette table (and hearing you calling) i wouldn't mind you kicking my ass at a poker table now and then either. (as long as i could go lick my wounds and build up my stash at a slot now and then :)

We could even play blackjack now and then (as long as a two man game was one deck and trade when burn card comes up:D

Ahhh c'mon, you ain't even anywhere near giving up your poker seat. I

Virtual vs Reality

What the fck do you have to play? $50/$100NL before the fish get too scared to play?
I guess you can say, no bet is safe from online poker and no bet will scare away a player because betting online, to some, is not real.

You seem to have come across a lot of players that live in the "virtual" world of chips that are just that, chips to them. The connection between chips and real money is not there and they rationalize this with, "awwww, what the heck, it just chips".

I used to play poker for years, but when it got to be the "thing" to do, for the masses, I quit. I joined Party Poker in its infancy (about 400 players at any given time) and that was enjoyable. But when the word got out, it became a nightmare, just as you are experiencing.

There is no hand that justifies folding in poker because "anything" can, and will win. It is a proven fact. Just as the run of bad luck you have had and lost. Because one EXPECTS the other to fold a hand doesn't necessarily mean they will and doesn't mean that they are fishes.

I have played Texas Hold'em recently in Atlantic City and have kicked butt, because I play anything just as you say, the "fishes" have been doing. Once you get past the mentality that only "prime" hands win, you will make a lot more money in the long run. It's tough, but if you want to play the game nowadays, you got to play their way.

I think there is a thread on here somewhere (I forget where) on how, the expectations for poker hands are no longer viable, for players have become immune to the fact that playing any hand is just as good as what the other might think is a good hand. I hope this makes sense.

So, If you really want to win, quit online poker, go to the casinos and NEVER fold a hand at the Texas Hold'em table, for you won't believe just what will win and how much you will win by doing this one thing!

I took my 2 sons and husband up a few weeks ago and they were folding hands which were winners (they were playing under the old concept of staying with good hands). When I mosey'ed on over to watch them, from my table, I was horrified to see they were actually giving the casino their money hand over fist by folding hands they thought were unplayable.

I told them if they played my way, and lost, I would repay their losings. I had a tough way to go to convince them of this play, but they started to play it this way and ended up with over 4 times of what they started with. Nice little win for them. They are still amazed that it worked.

So, play anything as the others do and you will win, but only in the casinos, for online, there is no winning against some people that can't relate to the fact it is real money.

But if you must play online, remember, aces have been cracked more often than not by a hand that was supposed to be folded in your mind. But, anything can and will win! So, stop folding them, and kick butt!

Note: This play is at the CASINO Texas Hold'em tables not the POKER tables. They have the Texas Hold'em tables in the casino now. I wanted to clarify this.

Good Luck!

Ok...time to hop in the car and go! What inspiration! lololol Great post!
Hang in there Winbig and lojo...I wanna see his cat do that to! lololol

FYI: I don't have the mentality that only "prime" hands win. I haven't for ages. The problem I have is with people being in a hand post-flop that they have no business calling. IE: No draws/backdoor draws, etc. You keep betting high, and they keep calling to their 2 outers....and hit.

It's all good. They give back the money and then some over the long run. Just not online.

winbig, if you are referring to my post, I would like to say, this is not what I was trying to get across "ABOUT" you and in no way against you.

I was trying to show what I have been seeing and experiencing in my own world of "poker". No offense was meant. Just observations given.

I stated any hand can win so why should one fold even when YOU might think they should, for they won't. It's not real to most...which makes it harder for the true poker player to enjoy a good game.

But then again, you come back with this and tickled my devils fancy to respond with....

Can't have it BOTH ways :D
And I reply with this once again to your

All is good, just as you say, they will give it back in the LONG run, but the beats are truly nauseating when it happens with unthinkable hands.
