netspend is double charging for the Foreign Transaction Surcharge.

    i put this in atb caz i really did not know where eles to put it.

    i just want to tell everyone that they may need to go over their netspend statement and look at the surcharge that they take out everytime you do a foreign

    transation.

    netspend updated or changed their site and they messed something up caz i have had 8 to 10 overcharges from them for this surcharge.

    they take it out once and then take it out again i have called them twice about this and e-mailed them they have put the money back into my account but they have not taken care of the promble.

    i know i was having trouble with the processor from lucky red taking out extar but now netspend is doing it 2.

    so kind of look over your statement and make sure they r not double charging you too.

    Thanks so much for your post I would not have noticed until your post. I went thru it and you are correct all double charges I also deposit at LuckyRed not sure if that is the trigger point for double charging or just a coincidence.

    This makes me so mad, what happened to the day when we just loaded our card and came home and played?!!!:confused:

    no thats not it. they revamp their system and since then it has been doing this.

    i told them they need to get it fixed and yet they did not sound to upset that it might be happening to other people.

    they also were upset the 2nd time i called and told them it was not the charge i wanted to disput it was what they were doing and they tryed to act like they did,nt know what i was talking about.

    but on mine it added up to over $4 the last time and i don,t know how much the frist time and i,m not sure if i cought them all.

    i just wanted people who use netspend to know what is going on caz netspend is not going to tell them.

    This is why I stopped using them a few months ago. Just like above, when I called them on it, they asked me if I wanted to dispute the charge and acted like they don't understand. Despite all the issues, I still prefer credit or gift cards, even though those have many problems as well.

    Ugh, playing from USA is annoying.

    oh dear.... Guess I'd better be checking my recent transactions... tho I've not played Lucky Red. I think the $2 per transaction fee NS charges me should be enough to cover whatever. LOL Whenever I deposit at a CW casino there's always weird extra charges show up.

    I'm going to wait till I get home from work to check my account tho... I hate going to work mad already. LOL

    mousey its not the casino altho it was there for awhile its now netspend who is doing it here is what the e-mailed me back for the one they did last night.

    NS is getting smarter. I can no longer use MPL at all I get declined everytime. I tried many different days and times and nada. I was never able to register it at PnP which was annoying. Ukash fees are insane.....so.... I figure I'm saving $ since I'm giving up. I mainly play at 3dice and my awesome 76% rtp there isn't making me want to try harder to find ways to deposit. :rolleyes: I wouldn't even go near an RTG or any other place that does only checks or wires it's just too hard now.

    i have no trouble using it its just they are taking twice the amount they are sup to.

    and i can,t do wire or check seeing i don,t have a bank account.

    but i do play at r.t.gs and there are other ways of getting paid so i,m good with that.

    Is this something that has happened in the past few days? Or is this something that is happening only at a certain casino? I checked my transaction history and I see the original transaction and the international fee which is normal. I don't see any duplicate charges in my transaction history but my last transaction was on 6/18.

    Isnt the international transaction fee 3.5%?

    its been happening since they revamp their system.

    mines going on a month but if you look at my post about 3 above they sent me an e-mail telling me they are trying to get it fix.

    its none of the casinos just netspend overcharging.

    and yes its been happening since 6/18 at least on mine.

    Thanks ...for bringing this to my attention, Kauphy...otherwise I wouldn't have looked...but I just sent an email to them on their website, to look at the double charges...I dunno, I'm about to throw this card into the shredder, already!

    Well I checked all of my transactions and I dont see any double charges. If the Internationals Transaction fee is 3.5% my statement is correct. As far as revamping the system, they changed their homepage a long time ago but I don't recall much difference once you were logged in. I'm not doubting what the OP is saying at all, I am just trying to make sure it is not and has not happened to me.

    Kauphy, are you a Netspend Premier (whatever that means) member?

    they sent me a e-mail stating that there would be changes in how they do the foreign transaction surcharge and since then it has been double charging not only

    me but looking at the posts a few other people too.

    i posted this once before but this is what they sent to me after about 6 e-mails telling them they were taking too much out.

    and it started at least from my frist e-mail to them on 06/7/2012. and as it says in the e-mail it is a system issue after they revamp it.

    i,m not saying its happening to everyone i just wanted people who use the card to play to make sure to go over their statements to see if it was being done to them too.

    so they would not lose any money to netspend. caz we all know netspend is not going to say a word about this and just keep the money.

    sorrie in my other post i stated it frist happened on the 18th but just looking at my e-mail to and from them it started on the 7th.

    I just checked my Netspend email and they responded!

    They had indeed double-charged me by ..all in all...almost $20 in double charges!!! They returned my money and they said that they had their IT dept...trying to fix this.

    So...Thanks, again Kauphy!!

    I wouldn't have checked otherwise.:thumbsup:

    After seeing this thread I checked my debit and credit cards.. Seems I have been double charged POSSIBLY by a processor to the tune of $300 on my debit card... Hmmm....

    I will make 100% certain, could be a banking glitch...

    o.k guys everytime you use your card this is going to happen until they get it fixed.

    just checked mine and had anoughter one on there.

    so eather don,t use your card or check when you do and then send them an e-mail to get your money put back into your account.

    think i,ll use anoughter card from now on.

    yes i was double charged as well. i only noticed it as i had put 50.00 on my card and that would make me a dep of 48.00 ( allowing the 2.00 tranactions fee.) but it would not process it. so when i logged in to view my account history i seen i was 2.00 in the red . that means they charged me double for my last tranaction and took it out as soon as i reloaded. shorting me the 2.00 again. geeze

    Thanl you hun!!!! I'm over 75.00 in double charged fees. I just thought I was getting hit at both ends meaning the ewallet and then the card- I would have never known ty. Sent an email off.
