hi people.

I had just played starburst at GUTS casino (not taking it out on guts but the software developer instead)

I had just made over 100 consecutive spins at $10 a spin. for over 100 spins I did not once get those star features at all. it was all pretty much dead spins. this is not the first time this has happened, this is like my 3rd time. I than receive 10 bonus so I continue playing it at 20cents a spins.. and guess what I keep on getting that star feature non stop with big wins.

like.... I'm still in a state of disbelief here, can someone tell me that this is not rigged please and that I'm just imagining this.

ok thanks for that mr I can turn wine into water.

can anyone please tell me whats the deal with betting bigger and getting very very bad streak. I notice this happens across all online slots from any casino.

you're welcome.
And turning wine to water is remarkably easy...you simply piss :)

And you did ask..re:can someone tell me that this is not rigged please

like come on some helpful advise please.

should I not ever up my bet, or only up my bet at certain times....

please help a noobie out, I'm sick of always getting slaughtered when I up my bet

how can you say it's random. when as soon as I up my bet I get consecutive dead spins till my bankroll is gone. than immediately placing small bets all the features keep on coming.

like I said this is not the first time it has happen and that is to much of a co incidence.

to raise your bet after a big win usually leads to a quick bust. yes. its random. however chances of course decrease.

otherwise casino business would be players wellfare... ;)

no I didn't raise my bet after big wins this time. it was just going nowhere, I would get a big win here and there and those star features regularly. than I decided to up my bet and yeh not even 1 star feature got even one decent win. like nothing.

last time I had a bankroll of 4000, and I place $50 a spin.. and it went bad as well. not even one decent spin.

I know I'm stupid to keep on playing but I keep telling myself it can't keep on going on like this.... it cant!!!

that thought...

of... it can´t be going on like this... - this is that thought that makes you lose anything. The rng just rngs... it is patient. (i lost a bit in a session in 2013 at that stupid center court slot - raising my bet continously, awaiting "the big hit")...

I have learned my lesson. never try to predict simulated randomness. it is too random not logical. restrict yourself from redepositing when having a bad run... it is bottomless...

I have often wondered if the randomness and programming of RTP is, for lack of better words, "categorized" or tied into the various bet ranges. We have all seen the 5000+ X bet for DOA, when the person is playing 9, 18, 27 ct/ line. Move up a range in which not as many people are playing, means less frequent big wins and then when you get to someone like yourself playing $50 or $100 per bet obviously puts you in a range where many less people and therefore bets are being placed. So if in fact this is how the games are being programmed re. RTP, you would have to wait a heck of a lot longer to hit anything decent because so few people are betting in that range. Speculation only, but might explain why you have had the experience you have had. Only the programmers or insiders would be able to confirm if this is how "random" works when it comes to online gambling. Would love to know myself!

As someone who has played a lot of high stakes on netent I've long stop believing that bet size has no bearing on the spin results. It's difficult to prove but I'm quite sure that the odds of hitting some of those high multiples wins is much better on min stakes vs £10+ spins.

It's not just netent either. Play N Go are the same and playing something like Golden ticket at 20p is entirely different than playing at £40 a spin.

I have long been believing that the RTP for the machines are set for each of the bet sizes.

It is going to give x number of big wins on £0.20 a spin and an equal number of big wins on £0.40 a spin etc.

Because fewer people play the higher bet sizes, the higher wins are less frequent then when playing the smaller bet sizes that more people play.

Well, that is how I would programme a slot machine. It guarantees that the slot machine will always return money to the provider rather than somebody hitting a 10,000x win on a £40 spin that somehow needs to be recovered by all those £0.20 and £0.40 bets.

so boring... :D

If I programmed the slots they would have a killswitch... then i would lurk for players i do not like all day - first let them win a bit and then... predd the losing streak initiation-button to ruib their day...

:D:D:D:D

that would be fun...

I think many people here like to make a lot of strange and silly conspiracy theories regarding something that's a losing proposition to begin with. It's like throwing unboiled eggs at the wall, and wondering why they do not stay intact when you throw them at bigger velocity.

Your probability is always the same. The size doesn't matter, and it also doesn't matter did old Jim Bob post a picture of his 5 wilds the week before. If you can't stand the heat, stay out of the kitchen.

Anybody else with personal experience would you be kind enough to share your thoughts please

I do not have personal experience but since I have been reading this forum for 9 years, I remember a Norwegian guy with the username KTMD or something like that. He used to play higher stakes (IIRC, something like 3-6 USD) on MG games. He was a software developer and, by his own admission, he poured 500,000 USD into the slots.

He claimed he gathered enough statistical evidence that the RTP is skewed in disfavour of higher bets. He posted his results and charts here, it should be buried somewhere in the archives.

I am not so good at maths as to verify whether his claims were true but I was not personally interested too much because my bets are rarely above 1 USD :).

No, kktmd was using boots in free play to gather those examples of all slots, not his own money. It was million of spins for each game.
Very interesting stats and I posted one of those examples just the other day.

It has been a few years so I could remember it wrong but as far as my memory serves, I distinctly remember the amount of 500,000 USD because it was so staggering.

And since he was so distrustful and frustrated with the MG slots, I am also quite sure that his point was to prove that the slots are skewed in real play, not in fun play. I don't think he would attribute any weight to results in fun play.

Here is his profile and you can check his posts and stats. https://www.casinomeister.com/forums/members/30207/

I believe you are talking about someone else.

I think you're talking about AussieDave where Jufo checked his stats and found them normal :)
