NetEnt! How in the world is this not fixed yet?!

Thanks Andy. They could easily fix it by either remembering the bet size or having the slots start with a $0.01 denomination instead of $0.10. So if you fuck up and hit max bet, it would cost only $2.50 instead of $25.

Yes, like most IGT slots start at 1p per line default until you set them higher. And they remember your last stake as do MG slots BUT whereas you can set the Netents to use 'spacebar to spin' this can have unfortunate results on MG slots where the spacebar spins you at Max coins per line.

A shame the various softwares don't have an across-the-board standard. It ain't difficult.

Oh yes, back in the days when I still played RTG I made that mistake many times.
Coming from a long RTG session where you use the spacebar to spin, then switch to MG and started hammering the spacebar again without thinking..

And 40.- per spin on Isis?
Never seen that, the default is 5.- per spin as far as I know, .02 coinsize, 10 coins per line.

The highest default I've seen on MG was BDBA, thats set to 22.50 per spin.
Thats 2 spins for my average deposit..

Always watch out with MG, games sometimes reset to their default after an update/new games release, so I always check if its indeed still on my preferred coinsize.

yep hate it as well, sure cant be to much of a prob to fix
it can pay big though happend to me at Nordicbet last year playing Starburst, deposit $40 and off to Starburst
its $2 default so hit max button $20 and got the star on reel 2 with sevens on reel 1,3,4 paid something like $350 :) so got lucky that time.

It as happened to me 2

One time. From 4€ to 40€ . But that time i where lucky, hitted 3 scatters and 15 spins X 3 bet. The result was 19500€ win.

Twice this week I have hit max.bet on Jack and the BeanStalk - which in my currency is a wooping 36$ (200dkr) - meant to adjust bet size, but switching from DOA to JatBS it seems my lizard brain just had me clicking the "usual" area rather than paying attention - at least I have not done it on gonzo yet - where max bet is 90$ (500dkr) :eek2:

Can't find the old thread from last year so I'm posting a new one. It happened to me again yesterday: playing a new game and hitting the max bet button by mistake instead of the "coin size" one, for a $25 spin on a $60 balance.

Come on now! It's bad enough that we have to change the coin size every time that we load a slot, please don't place the small button right next to the max bet one that will steal half your bankroll if you accidentally click on it! Talk about a piss poor design!

This happened to me on whitebet while i was playing with a bonus and i entered JH and the pop up appeared to which i clicked ok but right underneath was max bet button and i betted the max which could have made my win invalid as max bet allowed with the bonus was £5, i contacted support and they told me they'll look over it as i told them about the mistake straightaway but i have to make sure it doesnt happen again

Now i ended up losing that but that made me really conscious about when entering netent games as to avoid over clicking as u know mouse pads on laptops these days could be really sensitive

They should really put in some feature which asks u if u are sure when betting such a huge amount when ur average bet there is around £1.

I know all too well about it...

Got disconnected at Betsafe and forgot to change my betsize - Looked again and half my balance was gone as I had DOA on auto play for $2.25 a spin. Disastrous for a bankroll ;)

NetEnt implemented the 'remember my betsize' on that stupid chicken game.... Hope they can implement it on other slots.

Nate

That is the only good thing about that game release I can think of :D.

Yes, like some MG casinos do - I remember somebody saying they opened Isis and it was on $40 a spin by default, nasty! They played a spin and lost.

In last year's thread about this same issue, Chopley talked about a CM lady who completely stopped playing after losing her entire bankroll on a single spin because she clicked on the wrong button (IIRC). That happened before I joined this forum and I can't find the thread so I don't have more details.

$40/spin is some serious high rolling shit, it's sick to allow unsuspecting casual players to fall in such trap for a simple misclick. Those who play at that kind of stake know how to raise their bets, there's simply no excuse for such a design flaw.

Now that we are on about NetEnt I got the feeling to try my luck at Vera John today

228x in Eggomatic YEAH also got the BIG egg 7500 coins never tried that before. Did some extra spins with coin size 0,02 and got a 4000 coin egg as well withdrawal of €275

I have never had any problems with hitting the max bet button. But do admit at other casinos even microgaming I have done. But end of the day it's the players OWN fault....

But agree that it is very annoying with bet raised and also max have to be designed like that.

Yeah that's the good thing about that and NO its not a stupid chicken game :p :D

I find it quite entertaining and seems to always keep your bankroll running....but I guess our luck is different

Just want to add, my own personal pet hate is the coin size being reset every time you open the game, especially as netent games seem to quit out a lot on my connection ("The game is currently unavailable, please try later") ... I get back in, hit Auto and before I know it have lost a packet betting 10x my previous stake.. I really don't know what I would do if I accidentally hit max bet and whacked £75 or something on a single spin, damn.. that would be really harsh

Netent are really lazy when it comes to fixing things. Also their translations can be bad. I pointed out that in Norwegian DOA freespin text can be interpreted as you get the extra 5 free spins for hitting one or more wilds in the freespins over a year ago, but nothing has happened.

I am in agreement with many of the others I almost wonder if this is on purpose....

In Vegas a few weeks ago I went to play a slot thought it was pennies.. Hit the max bet which should have been $2 bucks it wasn't it took half of my $100 in one spin because it was a $1 slot!
The $ symbol looked just like a penny slot or I was just buzzed and silly ...

If Netent ran a vegas casino they would, and you went out for a break they would have people wheeling out the penny-slot you just played at and replacing it with a identical 10$ slot.

bit late to the party in this thread...but just to add my two cents, i dont know how many times i have been caught by needing to reload a slot and hitting spin a few times before realising it had reset to the default bet size. Arg. bloody irritating.
