Neteller Check Bounces!

Horrid and stupid, but like I offered before i will offer once more. I am fearless. I will buy it
nothing new here.

I was one of those Americans with a few bucks in neteller.

I requested a check the first day I could and today the check showed up in the mail and I went to cash it...

The bank told me they had so far turned down over $50,000 in Neteller checks, not including my check, as of 2:00pm today...

The Neteller checks are no fucking good...

The check Neteller sent me was made on this account:

CARDLOAD INC.
Suite#64008, 5512 - 4th street nw
Calgary,Alberta T2K 6J0

Getting back to Lots0's initiating post on this thread, Neteller has made the following not-very-helpful response which suggests that they view the 'occasional' presentment hassle with equanimity:

QUOTE:

Thanks for your email regarding various postings on the
CasinoMeister site. We have been investigating the issues which you raised.

We typically mail a large number of cheques to our customers across various countries and occasionally there are presentment issues. We would therefore regard the incidences referred to as not unusual given the volume of cheques we have been mailing as part of the US distribution plan.

You may be interested in the following statistics in relation to our US distribution plan: to date, of the $94 million due, $68.5 million has been requested (73%), of which $60.5 million has successfully cleared, and $8 million is pending/ on-route / in mail.

We would also suggest that if our customers have similar issues presenting cheques in the future that they request the bank or institution to contact NETELLER directly to confirm the validity of the cheque by telephoning our support team on 877 288 4545. UNQUOTE

If you think that email from Neteller is useless, you should have heard my phone conversation with Neteller Support... I know it seems impossible but the phone conversation was even less helpful than the email Jetset received.

I learned a lesson, an expensive lesson but a good one.

Never trust a 3rd party payment company... NEVER EVER.

Neteller Sucks big time and I personally hope and pray that everyone in Neteller's management gets Rectal Cancer.

Not sure why anyone would have risked asking for a NETeller check. The first question that came to mind for me is "Does NETeller have enough cash to cover all the requests for withdrawal ?" No one knows for sure. Obviously, ACH transactions will take precedence on the tapping of available funds (I got my money less than 24 hours after I requested an ACH withdrawal). 2 obvious suggestions, and 1 less-obvious suggestion:

1) Cancel request, and re-submit as an electronic request. If you are worried about DOJ tracking, it's too late for that, if you want your money,

2) Try depositing your check into a bank where you do business, as opposed to trying to cash it outright. Deposits may be viewed as a tad more lenient, and you may be able to sneak by the 1st level of support (teller). Going up to a window, and cashing a check (presumably drawn on a non-US bank), will immediately raise eyebrows, as tellers have been instructed to watch for this in general.

3) There are a lot of "cash your check places" around. Try a bunch of them. The fee may be exhorbitant, but better to get 80-90 %, than 0 %.

Given the sheer length of time this took to resolve, one would have thought these problems would have been cleared up before the scheme went live.

These new problems make the American authorities look the fool, not Neteller. Once Neteller have issued all the payments, it will be the US institutions that will keep this saga going on and on, and I would have thought everyone concerned wants closure ASAP.
It seems the agreement lacked an agreed procedure that account holders could use to guarantee the smooth encashing of their Neteller account closure payments where ACH was not possible. Perhaps there WAS one with the Federal Reserve, but no-one told the individual banks that these checks would go through despite the UIGEA normally blocking Neteller checks.

NT checks bounces???? Sounds very strande to me.

The check did not 'bounce' in the usual sense of the word (insufficient funds, closed account, etc.). It was refused by the bank.

Has anyone seen anymore complaints re: NETeller checks being refused by banks? I've googled till I'm blind and haven't found another reference to a similar incident. And what about the bank manager's statement that the Federal Reserve wouldn't touch it? Doesn't that mean all these checks by NETeller should turn up (sooner or later) as having been refused?

Recieved my bank statement the other day...the check cleared.
Is it possible that Lotso's bank manager is someone who disapproves of gambling in general, and Neteller in particular...and has taken it upon himself to either interpret law or to ignore regulations and play gawd?

lots0 ..... did you ever get this straightened out and received your money?
