I had 1000$ on my NETeller account and now it is locked? Could anyone
comment this?

The same happened to me today also.
After waiting 20 minutes in live chat I finally got CS. It then took 5 minutes to
reopen the account, and it is open again.

The reason for the security check was that I had accessed Neteller from both my home computer and my laptop from work. I have been during that for 2 years
without any problems through, before now.

Anyway, just relax - it is just standard procedure from Neteller.

This is usual with Neteller. Dont use the same computer with other Neteller users. Dont make too much failed deposits. Dont make too much failed withdrawals.

If your accunt closed, call them. They will call you back from your registered phone back. They will open it after asking some questions.

Bad for you. If it is investigations department it means they have something serious to tell you about your action. Usually it is only admin@neteller.com.

Neteller Card closed!

Btw. i got this Email today:

"The third-party provider for the NETELLER Card has very recently advised that under the rules relating to the Cirrus/Maestro Network, it can no longer support those branded cards. This affects your NETELLER Card.

Important dates

Effective immediately, you will not be able to withdraw funds from youre-wallet to your NETELLER Card. However, you will have until May 2, 2007 to use the funds that are already on your Card.

To avoid possible inconvenience, we highly recommend you use all of the existing funds on your Card before this date. After that time, we will credit remaining funds back to your NETELLER e-wallet. This may take several business days, but we assure you that your funds continue to be safe and secure.

Other withdrawal options

In the interim, you will continue to have access to the following withdrawal options based on your country of residence:

Cheque
Bank transfer
Member wire"

****

It is the only reason I use Neteller, so its off to Moneybookers for me - at least I can direct transfer to my bank account in 2 working days with much smaller fees.

Me, too.

I've received one of these as well but this looks like a hoax
to me.

I can't see why they would want to do this and lose so much non-US business (and Cirrus-Maestro stand to lose a massive amount as well), and I doubt that they would send a letter addressed to their merchants to the users.

Still, with Neteller arrogance and insensitivity to their users anything is possible I guess.

I'm sure there will be moves to get another processor....and if worst comes to worst I guess you can always get a bank transfer, although they will sting you for this.

I'll check on it later today, but you might try phoning them during working
hours to see if this is right.

Hmmm - tried testing it with a withdrawal to my Neteller card. No notices
anywhere on the site, but at the final card confirmation it kicks you out "An error has occurred" which is unsettling in view of this email.

It looks as if this is widespread - reports coming in from all over the world and Mike031 has commented on it in another thread here, too.

I tested it with a withdrawal to card and sure enough at the end of the transaction I got an "error" message which under the circumstances is not encouraging.

Interesting that there is not a single notice to users about this anywhere on the site.

Moneybookers is going to make a killing off this if it is true....unless our not-very-client-caring NT decides to delay and hold on to funds as long as possible whilst it tries to get another processor in place.

Again - if this is true - NT are once again showing that their users are their lowest priority when it comes to communicating major problems.

I've sent emails to some of the NT team, but they haven't exactly been forthcoming recently!

Nothing in my inbox, and Neteller is still advertising its debit card on their website:
We are proud to now offer the NETELLER Card to our clients. The NETELLER Card can be used to instantly access the funds in your NETELLER account. With access to the CirrusTM and MaestroTM networks the NETELLER Card can be used worldwide at ATM machines and POS terminals.

One more step in their 'settlement' with the dojfux?

If this is true, I doubt that it's a DoJ inspired move - more likely some difficulty with the third party Maestro-Cirrus network that NT uses.

That's small comfort to the users, who will no doubt now be subjected to delays and poor communications from NT as they try and get their @#it together.

I again emphasise that if this is true, I am appalled that they have arbitrarily and without any warning whatsoever stopped their users from operating their NT to NT Card privilege, and that there is no indication whatsoever on their site that this problem is happening, why and what they plan to do about it.

From a Customer Relations Management and even PR and marketing perspective this is truly unprofessional and very irritating.

'Meister, before heavy traffic builds on this topic would it not be an idea to merge this and the other Neteller thread at https://www.casinomeister.com/forums/community/online-casinos/ ?

Well boo-f**king-hoo. It's true.

I just spoke with them over the phone and the card is no more. They said they are scrambling at the moment to update the website and to notify all customers. They found out about this yesterday.

All funds in the card will be transferred back over to the ewallet section. They aren't sure how long this will take after the 2nd. Could be hours; could be days.

The card was the only reason I had a Neteller account. Well there goes my Vegas "fun money". Damn.

They did that same thing to my account a few days before they stopped accepting Canadians. I figured there was no use phoning since i wasn't going to use them anymore and did nothing wrong. I have used the same computer from home only, so using another computer or anything like that from somewhere else couldn't have been the reason for locking my account.

They didn't stop accepting Canadians completely, just on gambling transactions....

Link Removed ( Old/Invalid)

I live in the good ole' USA  , and can still log into my account.

True.......LOL...I just used it for casino's..so that kinda did it for me......I just found it funny they did that right before they dropped us too...Now i guess i'll phone and find out what excuse they have...since most of the others have been for logging in other than home..

I also got the email and am very disappointed with Neteller. The ATM card was very convenient when withdrawing my gambling winnings. Now I'll be broke as I'll be using my own money to pay for gas/petrol and other things

Well i just finished talking to Neteller VIP.....and they said it was for a duplicate account...It seems somebody in early March tried/did open an account with my name and address. They said they are going to go after this and try and find out who or whatever did this. They know it wasn't me anyways....

It is the only reason I use Neteller, so its off to Moneybookers for me - at least I can direct transfer to my bank account in 2 working days with much smaller fees.

The same with me, because if i need the money fast, i withdraw it with netelller, to pick it up with my neteller card, but when this option is no more available, for what should i use this?

I get also with moneybookers my money within 2 working days and neteller takes a little bit longer, so there is nor eason for me, to use it in the future, but the only problem is, that Cryptologic (Intercasino) don't accept deposits and withdrawals with moneybookers :(

The other thing of neteller is, that i asked them, why the hell tey couldn't make the "austrian" side in "german" because every people in austria speak the "german language" and english is not our mother language!

they told me only, that the german side is only for germany available and for austrian member sis the global side (english) to use!

*lol*

every e-wallet make their side in german, moneybookers, eco-card, click2pay and so on... but neteller doesn't make it, because they ae a little incompetent ;)
