I'm rather surprised barley was suggested, as it is quite high in fibre, even pearled barley. I make pearl barley risotto with brown mushrooms and dried cranberries...particularly if I make braised lamb chops.

Talk to your doctor if you experience constipation issues too... a low fibre diet can cause it, and it is a common problem from the drug and from dystonia.

Can you make an appointment to see a dietitian at the hospital? Looks like too much protein can interfere with the drug's absorption, so most suggest taking it about an hour or 90 mins before a meal. If you find it upsets your stomach, try taking it with some ginger tea and a soda cracker or two. Protein portions should be kept small and spread throughout the day. I'd suggest joining a distonia support group Jenn.

Ive been part of a Dystonia group for a few years. There is so many types, but I never got any replies except one when I posted about being dopa responsive . I know there is a few, I have seen their posts. I will have to have patience. My dad had dystonia too.

It has helped the shaking already. Just so flipping tired and Im not on the full dose yet. Thank you! That meal sounds yummy lol

Have just found some more google info, that except diet and drugs you should try to practice breathing yoga or any other relaxation methods.

And the main stuff to feel better in any situation is the self-control of your thoughts and actions. Try to concentration only on positive vibes, enjoy your life and not to think about any diseases.
I believe in psychosomatics
P.S. the last advice from myself :)
