This is so sad to hear of. I am sorry for your troubles and have known someone in a very similar situation.
Pick yourself up from this and find a new focus.
I dont think anybody can give you the answer on the morality of this apart from you.
I would be asking myself questions such as
'How would I have reacted if they approached me and said i had a problem when i was winning?'
'What would i do with this £6000 if i had it now?'
'Do I deserve it back?'
'What would i do with it if i get it back?'
Also, regarding the casino and their responsibilities. If a bank sees fit to loan you £80,000. How deep would a casino question your affordability?
Asking the community as I dont know?
It seems possible or even reasonable to me for them to think all is ok in that situation. Maybe the question should be how deep 'should' a casino question based on your situation. I know if somebody can get an £80k loan they must have a decent credit rating and be fairly solvent. Am i right?
