My Hype Withdrawal Experience

Well, I finally got paid by Hype after close to three months.

I didn't thank them nor will I thank them here for paying me since I spent much more time asking about the withdrawal than what it was worth in the long run. Numerous chat sessions with no information and too many emails to support that went unanswered.

The funny thing is my last email was the one where I stopped being nice and included words like "Idiots, mismanaged, demand, defunct and under funded". Oh and I used the phrase "Are you fools high on crack?" a few times also then low and behold two days later I get paid lol.

My overall experience with Hype was very dissapointing and I will not ever play there again.

Now that I have been paid I will stop kicking them around in this thread but I will cover one last time a few points to ponder from my experience if you are from the USA and plan to deposit there anyway.

1. If you use Click2pay to deposit you can not withdraw back to click2pay.
2. Forced bonus on deposits (first three I guess)
3. ACH withdrawal only and will take months (fee's apply varies with bank)
4. Email Support. HHMMM well they have an email address but don't answer emails.
5. Live Support: Nice people but useless with no information
6. Rep on these forums: there is one but they never posted in any thread I have been involved in.
7. Management/Owners: Idiots, pure idiots in my opinion for never addressing the problems.

There ya have it, good luck to anyone else that is waiting on a withdrawal.

I'm so glad you finally got your money Rettahs, congrats!!

As to your experience, I'm glad you kept us updated. I can tell you that I wouldn't play at this casino with funny money. Just the fact that there is a rep on board here...and not only did he not post in this thread, I gather that PM's from various people here went unanswered. To me, that alone is inexcusable. I don't care how pretty their games are, three months to get paid is beyond ridiculous..and no explanations from anyone.

Thank you, it was the worst experience I have ever had dealing with a casino. Lesson learned for me.

Soo happy you got paid! Gives me some hope! Not a lot but a little. They still owe me $1500.
I can not fathom why a casino would committ utter suicide such as they have, how or if they can recover from this is yet to be seen I suppose. If they want to have any kind of future a full explanation to its players is definately in order here.

Excellent news!
I honestly thought this casino had crashed & burned.

I echo that sentiment.
Unfortunately going by their track record I think any sort of comment is highly unlikely.
It is a crying shame, and for me personally the biggest disappointment in my whole online gaming life. An excellent concept, fantastic software & games, great sign-up offers, and yet totally un-communicative and apparently inept management.
What a total waste of a superb opportunity to become a major online player... :(

Warning

First of all, Rettah - I'm really pleased that your persistence paid off. You should never have been exposed to this sort of treatment imo.

Second, KK I'm afraid I'm getting information from three different sources that Hype Casino has indeed "crashed and burned".

This is all hearsay, but I'm told that the Australian owners ordered Player Preferred-Firebrand Interactive to shut the operation down at the end of April after missing funds allegations.

I emphasise that this is hearsay, but it comes from three sources which corroborates it, and in the absence of an honest and upfront announcement from the owners I feel it is important that players be warned.

I just want to remind everyone that I made a "Avoid this casino at all costs" warning on the 27th of April.

And I meant what I said. If players are continuing to play there, you are playing at your own risk.

If you are an affiliate and your links are still live, that's roguish tendencies on your part because you KNOW your players probably won't be paid. Kill the links please.

This can't be said near enough!!!

Hi Jetset, if the owners told them shut down, why is the casino apparently taking new deposits?

That is exactly why players need to be warned about this, darkpixie.

My latest information is that the owners who ordered Player Preferred and Firebrand Interactive to close the doors on April 30 may be about to release a public statement on this issue.

That's something that should have been done immediately the ownership decision to close was made at the end of April, and one that should have been backed with emails to every player, specifying payout arrangements.

I have no idea what's going on with this casino, which is presumably still under the control of Player Preferred and Firebrand....but on the information available right now it doesn't look good.

BTW - this makes three out of three PP licensees down in less than a year!

This whole situation is such a damn shame. Their "rep" PM'ed me, personally asking me to email him with any concerns I had. I did, and never received a response. Why in the world would this guy sit here and waste him time like that? Not only that, but all it did was royally piss me off!

I really wish that casino's would learn that communication is the key. We as players damn well deserve to know what's going on, and we deserve to be paid in a timely manner. I hope they ARE going under, becuase quite frankly they are just a waste of online space if you ask me. They deserve to fail because of the way they've treated their players.

I hope someone decent buys that software and does something with it.

It's such nice software, I'd hate to see it go.

My thoughts exactly! I really took a fancy to the software -- and which is one of the reasons, I'm sure, some continued to deposit there despite the withdrawal problems. I'd hate to see it disappear into the ether....

I've been waiting months to play there. I got freakin excited when it looked like everything would work out awhile back, but not.

If I'm a guy who has some money, and I'm gonna dabble in the bidness, I ain't a gerna dabble. I'm going all in. Damn the torpedoes.

Online Casinos aren't strip malls; they might have profit centers (slots, etc.), but no 'neman marcus' anchors. In my wildest imaginings Hype did some bad planning for cashflow, or there is something behind the scenes we may never know about.

If all is well, I hope they marshall their capital, hire or consult for PR (the people are right here and it wouldn't cost a dime to get the best advice possible) and put those cool games into play for everyone.

Owner/delegate/manager: Speak to us!!!

The plot thickens!

Yesterday I got an e-mail from Hype offering me a 100% bonus up to $100!

So this-morning I go on to live chat...

Full transcript:-
<User> Are you still taking deposits?
<User> I heard your casino was closing down!

<Operator> No. Our casino is not closing down. How may I help you?
<User> Really? That is good news.
<User> How can I contact the casino managers/owners and the finance department?
<User> I am an affiliate & am owed money since Feb.

<Operator> I'm very sorry, the management is unavailable until the following Monday as they had left for the day and they do not operate on weekends.
<User> On Monday - how can I contact them - through this chat window?
<User> They don't reply to e-mails

<Operator> We will pass down the message to them and will get back to you via e-mail as we operators handle the live chats and e-mail.
<User> OK. I also want to play. Do you still take in & pay out by Neteller for UK residents?
<Operator> We do take in Neteller deposits and pay through Neteller for UK players.
<User> OK thanks. Bye.

So what do you make of that then??

PS
I may actually play there just to see what happens (mainly because I have not yet tried out their two latest slots  ) but don't forget CasinoMeister has them as 'Not Recommended' with a big risk of slow/no payments.
(I had to waste an hour of my life removing all the banners & links from my site too  )

I think they may be deliberately misleading players here, because we have it from very reliable sources that Firebrand-Player Preferred were told by the owners of Hype to shut the casino down on April 30 after a confrontation on allegedly missing funds.

The owners were then locked out, but the casino continues in operation. In my opinion that suggests:

1) That Firebrand-PP have between April 30 and last week found someone new to take over Hype without telling the owners. I regard that as unlikely given the time available and the reputation the casino has accrued for slow-paying of late. In any event, PP could take a Microgaming-like stance and stand behind a failed owner by paying the players who are owed.

2) That Firebrand-PP don't want to be seen as having another owner depart and are running the operation "cloaked" themselves to keep up appearances until they can find another "owner" for it.

Either way this is deceptive.

It is very disappointing that Sorensen and his partner at Nix Court Pty Limited who owned Hype have not cleared their names by issuing a public statement and making arrangements for players and affiliates to be paid to the date of their exit. I have been repeatedly told that these Aussies were honourable men, and this was an opportunity for them to prove it imo.

There are rumors that there will be a statement forthcoming as early as this weekend.

I am unable to verify this, so we'll just have to see.
