My Hype Withdrawal Experience

Rettahs

You will be paid. I know that you have doubts but please be patient. Hype outsource customer support to Firebrand - when you talk to customer support you are not talking to the Hype owners, you are talking to Firebrand.

I'll say again.

1. I don't work for or with Hype.
2. I am not an affiliate of Hype.
3. I know the owners of Hype, and I know the Firebrand people.
4. Hype will not let you down.

Sure, payments could have been better managed and more timely, and with that said I acknowledge its frustrating for players and for affiliates and it looks like a failue is imminent. The Hype owners have integrity and will pay. (And the use of the word "integrity" is NOT a veiled reference to the previous Captain Cooks operators.)

Macpomme

Macpomme,
Thanks for the reply, I have no doubt at all that I will be paid, it is not if it is when or I will get answers as to why not. You see, I am funny when it comes to my money, I like throwing it away and I am one of those gamblers that gets a kick out of losing just as much as I do winning. With that said I only like throwing it away during my gambling sessions and fully expect to get paid in a timely manner when I do withdraw my winnings or what I have remaining from a losing session.

I follow the rules and if there is a problem with my withdrawals be it two dollars or two thousand I will follow it up until I get an answer even if it is one I do not like. Like they call into affect rule 17 subsection 3, small type paragraph 4, line 13 on the hidden rules page which states that you can not withdraw on a Sunday during leap year and if I happened to have done that I take that as the answer and move on.

You qualified who you were and now I just qualified who I am, You seem to know the guys/gals that run both operations and I am just your run of the mill online gambler.

Now that we both are on the same page as to who we are and why we are posting here I get to ask you a question since you decided to reply to set my mind at ease. You have stated that you know both of the companies involved and no I am not asking you to speak on their behalf here but since you took the time to reply and qualify it with a reference of knowing both companies well enough to tell me they won't let me down then I will ask a simple question.

1. What is the problem with the withdrawals?

Thanks again for replying to my post, I look forward to your answer to the question.

Update!

Im still waiting on mine - its an affiliate payment - but it looks like we were last on the list
Just to update my situation - I got paid (by bank wire) yesterday.
(This was very quick as I only gave them my bank details a few days ago).

I also echo macpomme's confidence that Hype will come good in the end.
I have had very reassuring communication with part of their operation.

I remain very unhappy that they have not visited here to explain the situation (and I let them know it!), but they have explained their reasons and I must respect their prerogative.

I am also 'rather annoyed' that if you go to their website right now & click on 'cashier' the first method you'll see is Neteller! This is wrong - they are not using Neteller for any players (not just USA).

It takes me 2-minutes to update a page on my website - why does theirs take so long?

Anyway, I think we can see the light at the end of the tunnel now and can look forward to seeing more Hype in the Winner Screenshots section and not in the complaints section! ;)

I agree KK (and Macpomme about the details). They are setting it straight and will be here for the long haul.

For people like Rettah, I can only say that I understand your keeping track of your $$. I do the same. I can once again offer to help, but you would have to PM or email me to get that help.

I will say that knowing the full details of 'why' cashouts have been slow will not help anyone. Businesses just do not give out the reasons - the 'whys' of anything, it's PR suicide... especially in this industry.

To be honest, if I were Hype I would stay the heck away from the thread until issues are resolved. Why? Because it is very obvious from the responses that they will get beat down no matter how hard they try to help or what the issues were. (Check threads with Casino Rep responses - the majority of them get beat down, it's sad)

It depends on the circumstances, and it depends on which players are involved. Sometimes a well meaning rep walks into a lions den, sometimes they walk into a love fest :xxx

I think it's about 50/50 :D

Good point CM. And, I agree - it is probably 50/50. :)

LOL Full details? UUMM any details would be a tad nice instead of the whole don't worry you will get paid stuff because we all know this is a first rate outfit :). I wish I could tell my clients that they don't need to know any details at all about what I am doing with their money but to just keep the faith. I would have been out of business years ago.

I wouldn't beat down anyone from Hype for coming here and saying for example "We are sorry for the delays, our merchant accounts were based in the USA and we are having problems paying US players" granted if they did say that I would point out that they had paid some US players so what is the hold up with the rest but I wouldn't give them trouble over it, I want answers not silence. To do nothing in this situation is suicide if you ask me.

I do appreciate your offer to help me get paid but as nice as that sounds I do have to decline the offer. I am willing to pm you all my details and you are welcome to check to make sure I do have a valid withdrawal pending so you do not think I am bashing Hype without a valid reason but I sort of feel like if I am to have to get assistance to get paid all that does is help me and no one else. As long as they don't pay me I will keep updating this thread every few days or weeks or whatever. I don't owe Hype a thing and the longer they take to pay me or give me a decent answer the more I will just continue to ask in public and keep others aware that they are having some problems.

To be fair, I will also post when I am paid but I have no reason to give Hype a break if they aren't willing to answer some questions and give out some decent real information. Hype can stay away from this thread all they want for all I care, it isn't my business on the line here so they are welcome to wait until it is all resolved or to never address any of this.

When casino's take this long to pay - there's trouble. There's no legitimate reason in the world for so many delayed or currently non-existent payments, no reason at all. If they've got the money and want to pay players - they pay... As an impartial third party observer, I'd say something is very wrong and steer well clear...

Still no (player) payment. I sure would never have played Hype if I had known they wouldn't pay me for 2 Months. PAB anyone?

I told myself I would wait for some replies from a few people who have posted on here before I made another post in this thread just so no one gets sick of reading what I have to say or thinks I have it out for hype which I don't but I can't help it, this just made me laugh when I got another promotional bonus email from them with this as the last line.

"What are you waiting for? Have a pint or two enjoy some time with your friends and kick it all off with Hype Gaming!"

And all I could do was sit here and laugh. What am I waiting for? hhmmm To get paid would be nice is all I kept thinking :).

That's some funny shit :)

Post away - nobody here thinks you have it out for Hype (well, I don't anyway). I know you are just looking for what is due to you and I understand completely.

Whoa, that's a 70-something word sentence, I can't build 'em that long ;)

"What are you waiting for? Have a pint or two enjoy some time with your friends and kick it all off with Hype Gaming!"

This probably means playing at Hype will, in the end, drive you to drinking :D

Seriously, I hope each and everyone will get paid but unfortunately Slotster's words ring true. Let's hope he's wrong this one time.

Maybe we'll get our money...

I just heard some encouraging news.

I got a call from a friend who just got paid by Hype. He had cashed out in early to mid January, but can't remember the exact date. He says he was charged about $45 in fees.

Still no payment for me.

Let's hope for the best.

How much did your friend withdraw? I am just wondering about the percentage of the fee's as to the amount of the withdrawal. I for one am getting tired of random fee's that aren't mentioned anywhere when you deposit but they hit you with them when you care to withdraw.

He withdrew around $1500. The fees were charged by the bank(s) involved in the transfer, not Hype. I think that would have been the standard bank fee for any size withdrawal. Banks love fees, and they can be an expensive surprise sometimes.

Still no money for me.

Thanks for the information, while the fee's may be charged by the bank which I understand, I still have a problem with Hype since they allowed me to deposit with click2pay and I made a withdrawal the same day a few hours later. I could not withdraw to click2pay but now I have to wait for an ACH transfer where I will incur more fee's cutting into my meager withdrawal. One good thing is by the time they finally pay me, the neteller case will be settled and they can pay me that way lol.

on a side note, just for giggles I went and asked the live chat about my withdrawal, they are going to email me when it is ready and then they asked for my documents again when I cut and pasted the email where they said they recieved them they came back and said that was true so I should get paid soon. "Soon" is a term which clearly means something different to me than it does to them I think :).

IF I WOULD HAVE KNOWN

I WISH I WOULD HAVE FOUND THIS WEB SITE BEFORE I TRIED HYPE. I CASHED OUT ON FEBRUARY 5TH AND AM STILL WAITING TO BE TOLD ANYTHING OTHER THAN IT IS STILL PENDING IN ACCOUNTING THANKS FOR YOUR PATIENCE. I HAVE FOUR KIDS I HAVE LOTS OF PATIENCE (NOT THIS MUCH.) I WOULD LOVE TO HEAR ANYTHING OTHER THAN IT IS PENDING. HAS ANYONE FROM U.S. RECEIVED PAYMENT? ANY INFO WOULD HELP. THANKS.

GSIMI: Have you sent them your ID documents? Copy of DL, etc? They never seem to ask for them, but they must have them for your first withdrawal.

As to getting paid... there are a lot of USA players still waiting, but there are signs that it's getting better. Make sure they have your documents and bide your time. I think they will pay.

YES THEY RECEIVED MY DOCUMENTS ON FEBRUARY 7TH.

I like Chocolate shakes, you wonder what that has to do with this thread?

Well, when I was sitting in the drive through waiting for my chocolate shake the gal looked out the window and said "I'm so sorry, we are down to one fryer and we are backed up with orders so we haven't gotten to your shake yet. Can you pull forward and we will bring it out to you" I didn't mind at all, heck I can understand them being in a bad position so I pulled forward and parked. She ran out a few minutes later and handed me two chocolate shakes when I had only ordered one then she thanked me and apologized for my wait.

Now granted I didn't need two shakes but that wasn't the point, the point was, she was apologetic, she attempted to compensate me for my wait and she was courteous.

When I think of how Hype is handling this situation with USA players I just have to wonder who runs that place and what makes them think that anyone that they are making wait will ever play there again. I myself will not play there again but if I was told by someone at Hype or their support what was going on and offered some sort of compensation I would have gladly returned when they worked it all out. What could it hurt for them to say "We are sorry for the delays, we added 50 dollars to your account so you can at least play a bit on us while you wait" They could even put some crazy WR playthrough on it for all I care but the fact is I would have felt like someone cared that I was being made to wait and not just being treated like an idiot when I ask where my withdrawal is.
