Got this lovely email a few minutes ago from Mr Green.

We're just letting you know that some of your recently played games are being updated.
Don't worry though, you'll still be able to play them! We're just tweaking the RTP (Return to Player) on our Play’n Go slots.

At least they are informing people. It’s a pity they are going this way though…

Mr. Green is reviewed at Casinomeister.

Did they say when the change was going to be made?

Yeah?
I bet they're not tweaking them UPWARDS!

But don't worry - with your reduced play-time, you will get even MORE opportunities to deposit! :D

They didnt even give me the luxury of letting me know my pants would not be pulled down slowly but ripped right of my legs. Consider your self lucky you were one of the lucky ones they felt deserved this email. Fuckers! :(

Your right i just checked book of dead and its now runing at 94.25% just like videoslots. No reason to play here now besides the quick withdrawals. They also charge a percentage fee on withdrawals to!

I had only checked Book of Dead myself and saw 94.25%.

The email gives no timeframe for the “tweaks” but I assumed it was effective immediately. I should have added that this is for the UK. No idea if these changes are consistent across all jurisdictions.

yep Bod is on 94 now, viking runecraft which is what i first checked is 96. seems all smaller casinos just want to push us all over to big sites such as pokerstars and then wonder why they go under.

Well the reality is that the average punter has no idea about RTPs and the effects of lowering them.

I was watching a Aussie slot streamer the other day playing on MyStake casino. I asked him in the chat what the RTP was for the slot he was playing and got crucified by a number of viewers. One guy tried to tell me that all licensed online casinos have the same RTPs, and that caring about RTPs is stupid.

The lowering of RTPs is here to stay as the majority will just accept them or be oblivious to the concept.

Looks like I'm down to pokerstars, unibet and 21casino now, was going to try get my account unlocked on casumo but if they have already dropped them as well there is no point.

I had a very bad experience with Mr. Green when I wanted to close my account...I had never deposited there, only had an account....they wanted KYC to close my account...what a JOKE and stupidity!

(Yes, I did create images based on a chat conversation)

Love that word 'tweaking'.

Imagine if the bank sent you a letter saying 'don't worry, you can still use your account, we are just tweaking your interest rate'

I don't play sub-standard versions of slots so that takes Play'n GO off of the list at Mr Green. But to use the word tweaking just makes me want to close my account if that's what they think of their players. How rude!

If there is no shame in lowering and everything's above board, why disguise it? :)

Bandits.

Atleast they explained what they were tweaking.
I dont think anyone reading that they are tweaking 'return to player' will assume they are increasing it.

Surprised to see that they have not done the same for the Swedish market.
Guess it will be changed in the coming days.
Wonder if we will receive an email explaning it.

Be careful at 21Casino, they have Microgaming, Pragmatic Play, Nolimit City and Just For The Win all at mid-range 94% ish.

Plenty of casinos have those at higher-paying versions (well maybe not Play'n GO or Pragmatic that easily).

Edit: Or just save all the aggro and switch to single versions RTP slots like Relax Gaming, Big Time Gaming and Yggdrasil Gaming.

Not sure if betsson group (betsson, betsafe, nordicbet etc) is available in the UK, but they still offer the highest rtp setting and is in my opinion&experience a solid group.

Imagine as a kid telling your dad you'd 'tweaked' his wallet

'Dad I've tweaked your wallet for you'

'What do you mean son, tweaked my wallet?'

'Yeah I took £20 out of it for you...I'm always looking to improve your wallet carrying experience. Have a nice day now!'

Tweaked...what a word

Please do not give Pokerstars any ideas to also follow suit! lol I play their too. I play Play N Go and Pragmatic mainly there as they have the highest RTP for UK players currently. It appears it will be the only casino that has not reduced the RTP's on some providers. I really hope they do not follow suit. It sucks it really is criminal!

Just be careful though, they have reduced RTP on Red Tiger and some Netent slot already..

Don't worry though, you'll still be able to play them! But when you do you'll simply get more of an ass pounding than usual

Why should a healthily profitable business simply dial up the profit levels, at the flick of a switch, on the gambler's expense. If they all follow suit it smacks of the market not operating in a competitive manner aka price fixing.
