What is the latest movie you've seen

Chronicle is my latest film.
It was interesting but not powerful, a good watch none the less

Red - Bruce Willis, Morgan Freeman, Helen Miran, and lots of other top names. A mix of action/comedy
Eat,Pray,Love - Julia Roberts

On my to buy list is Courageous and Breaking Dawn Part1 (yes In A Twilight fan). There a few others but I've suddenly gone braindead

Morgan Freeman is one great actor, love him and Tim Robins in Shawshank Redemption,IMO the best movie ever made...crawled through a tunnel of bleep and came out clean on the side...what a line, pure genius

I don't get a lot of time... But... It was Groundhogs Day recently- I watched that, followed by an absolutely awful movie that I fully recommend everyone see.

I love movies I do, but it's a weekend thing, when the children are in bed, some time to chill and watch something I've been waiting to see, must keep in mind the movie you've mentioned, though I'm very critical when it comes to movies, I like movies that tend to have you emotional, or scared out of your wits, like the film insidious, please, if you have not watched this film yet, it is a must see, though I must admit, the demon in it wasn't scary at all, actually the demon was funny lol...though the rest of the movie had you in suspense

The Room is a lesson in unintentionally making a dark comedy. Its hilarious- and, you'll wonder how they spent 6 Million dollars on this film-

Its become an instant cult-status film in the States, people are still going to midnight showings of it.

Tommy Wiseau (I think that's how you spell his last name) is they guy who wrote, directed and acted in this particular 'polished turd' of the movie industry.

He just happened to make a movie that's going to be a classic among those of us who fondly remember MST3K! (I have seen the Riff Tracks of it, as well. HILARIOUS!)

There is another must see movie: The Way of the Gun.

That is just an amazing movie. In the 'This is an awesome movie' way.

Favorite movie=Band of Brothers

Just saw The Iron Lady. Meryl Streep is awesome and definitely deserves an Oscar for her performance. Really interesting take on alzheimers.

We watched Courageous last week - make sure that after you watch it, check out the special features "Courageous in 60 seconds" I laughed so hard I gave myself a headache!

Most of the movies I've seen lately are crap - if there's a plot at all, it's the same plot from eight other 'blockbusters' and most of them seem like they were written by 15 year old boys - poop jokes and boobies and things exploding and some guy (or a babe in latex) flying through the air in slow motion with a gun in each hand. Or they spend the budget on special effects and they hardly bother with a plot at all.

The last decent movie I saw was "The Help" - but it's not something I'd want to watch over and over.

Agreed about Shawshank, Tim Robbins has been in a few decent movies - has anyone seen Jacob's Ladder? Anyhow, here are some of my favorites (in no particular order): The Green Mile, The Usual Suspects, Arsenic and Old Lace, Flushed Away (Aardman), LOTR, Silent Running, Lock Stock and two Smoking Barrels, Despicable Me, Shrek, Bladerunner, Waking Ned Devine, In Bruges, Memento, The Good The Bad and The Ugly (weird I know but I love Clint Eastwood in those old dusters!) Probably more but it's late and I can't think of any right now.

Yep, it was based on true events, covering many wars the act of lacing food/drink etc with performance enhancing drugs is a well known but highly denied (by TPTB) fact, the most common of these drugs were Bromide a sexual inhibiting drug (who in their right mind is going to feel horny during war lol?), the next on the list was Amphetamine`s, a perfect war drug which reduced hunger, the need to sleep, and kept you very aware and battle ready.

The army of Genghis Khan were renowned for chewing the leaves of the coco plant also....

I think war and danger, and being freed from the norms of society and given a licence to kill and destroy, possibly does make the troops horny - rape and conflict appear to coincide everywhere.

Claims of passion-killers in the food seem to permeate most military training stories even internationally.

Talking of books and Genghis Khan, Conn Iggulden has written a series of carefully researched novels based on this leader and his rampaging around Asia and Arab lands - all a good read if you're into historical novels based on fact.

Soooo many movies I'd like to name, but I have to start with the often overlooked 'Star Wars' (the original... none of this modern Jar-Jar nonsense!)

I accept there are movies with better scripts, more moving acting, better effects and so on and so on, but for sheer impact on the planet does any other movie come close?

I was maybe 17(?) when Star Wars was made. What a rush to sit in the middle of the third row with a good buzz going, don't think I ever saw that movie (as a teen) without being under the influence. My youngest grandson wants me to invest in the Star Wars movies (I may see what they're like watching them "normally" LOL)

I agree with chayton...Loved Shawshank, The Green Mile, Cobra (old Sylvester Stallone movie), Dirty Harry, Any Which Way But Loose ( Right turn Clyde!). Edward Scissorshands, Benny and Joon, Pollyanna, Mary Poppins (LOL), Over the Hedge and Ice Age

Now I haven't seen any of the remakes, my nieces have...but the original Planet of the Apes. Has anyone seen both the original and the remake? And how do they compare?

Imo, it is one of the best reads i had last year, give it a go, it is totally different to the film...

Loved the originals, the Planet of the Apes with Mark Wahlberg was meh but i watch the recent Rise of The Planet of the Apes and thought it was a really good movie, opens it up nicely for some more sequels.

Red was very good I enjoyed it a lot.

My all time favourite is The Shawshank Redemption, most recently, by far the best film i`ve seen is Red State.

I love Kevin Smith and well this movie was ok, was not what I expected but hey it is Kevin.

The last movie I watched was Harry Brown.. It was pretty good but very predictable.
