Montana Disputes - How long should it take?

The casino upped its offer. Still put some fuzzy math in the offer that made it roughly 20% less than it should have been had their math been correct.

I told the casino that I would wait until Montana disclosed its final findings as I felt I am owed more than their offer. Looks like this may actually work out for me!

So now it is almost 6 weeks since the "Final Findings" were entered by Montana (Strange that they are considered "Final Findings" yet they give the casino a chance to respond to them before disclosing them to the player). The casino made some claims against the "Final Findings" to which I promptly responded to over 5 weeks ago. I have asked for an updated status several times since then with absolutely no response from Montana.

The casino has given me two offers in this 6 week period as previously posted in this forum. I did not accept either offer (The latest offer was given on July 19th), and I informed the casino that I would like to wait until Montana publishes their results.

I will continue to play the waiting game until this dispute hits the 3 month mark on August 12th at which point I will go public with my dispute if I do not receive any response from Montana.

Montana responded with what I believe was a revised second offer from the casino.

I promptly responded that I would wait until Montana disclosed their final findings as I felt the offer was unacceptable. I will keep the thread updated. I see no reason why Montana should wait any longer before disclosing their findings to me.

I also do not understand why anyone would accept a settlement after the final findings have been offered and disclosed to the casino, but not to the player. One can only assume that the casino manager would attempt to offer less money than Montana claims they owe.

Montana needs to show more transparency on this. Since the findings were 'final' and if there was a monetary value attached to it, the casino should not be allowed to make a counter-offer. They should have done this before Montana's decision on the 'final findings'.

If Montana wished to give the casino an opportunity to counter their findings they should have simply contacted the casino. Now that they say they have finalised everything and communicated this to the player but still allow counter-claims from the casino is very unprofessional and only serves to make matters worse.

Totally agreed. The matter was put to the initial findings before final findings. I am not sure why the casino was allowed to respond to the final findings in the first place. If they were allowed to respond, why leave the matter open for 7 weeks!

Has anyone else who has filed a dispute with Montana Overseas noticed that they take at least a week to write a response? Oftentimes longer.

Wonder if they'll drag my dispute on longer than 3 months... (2 months after final findings were issued.

I just received a finding in my favor on a dispute that I filed over 6 months ago. Unfortunately, the money was returned to my casino account. I expect that the cashout will take at least a month.

Quick update...

I have not heard any status update from Montana in over 1 month. Going on close to 4 months for the dispute... Still waiting.

My experience goes like this.

Submitted a claim August 21. Initial findings August 24. Received my money today September 12.

It wasn't a large amount but was still surprised it came this fast after reading this thread. Of course the money was in 'cashout limbo' for two months until I sent to Montana. Interestingly enough there were no final findings, the case is still in initial findings.

I'm jealous... Still waiting here. Montana claims they need to hear back from the casino, and sent a second response on 9/12 (over a week ago).

Hopefully I'm nearing the end...

9/26 - Montana responded and let me know that the casino offered me less than their previous offer.

I again declined the offer... Seems like I'm spinning my wheels here with Montana after 4 and a half months.

Now 1 week shy of 5 months, a different casino manager called me up and tried to settle for an amount I already refused. He flat out told me that he will drag this out for as long as he could with Montana if I did not take the offered amount.

I am now debating whether or not to publish the facts of my case as I feel I have given the casino and montana ample time to make a decision. Have a PM out to a few people from the board I have been talking to regarding my dispute. If they think it is a good idea, I will open up a new thread with the facts of this nearly 5 month old dispute.
