I was nosing through some threads today and noticed a lot of forum members have gone AWOL, Mark21? Nifty and that guy who used to post all the fun videos, (sorry cant remember his name).

I suppose real life just gets in the way sometimes :)

ChopleyIOM?
Yeah, no idea what happened to him, or Nifty.

Nifty is the strangest one for me - after all those years of his posts, I finally met him at the Meister meeting in Feb 2015 - and after that he seemed to just "disappear"

Me too, he was so active and (a little scary), I miss him :(

No, Nifty had stopped posting long before the meeting. He just never came back. I miss him too but I know he needed to move on.

I miss so many. Pinababy69 and Seventh777 who we lost. Others have been banned.
So many and so much knowledge is missing. I have tried to leave. Failed miserably several times:oops:

Maphesto where are you? I miss you most!:(

I am 99.9 % sure nifty posted the other day, Unless an old thread bought up but I didnt think it was,

Yes its strange where people vanish, But x files has just relaunched, Maybe there is truth after all, I mean I have gone short bursts but as I do alot of work on computer its easy for me to always pop in and see whats going on, Piss a few people off :)

Moan about bloody errors and hearing about people spending there rent, :D

Nope. You can always check the member list for last login, or profile for login and latest post

You mean 'Blaothon' the Norwegian guy? He did actually tell us he'd done his time with slots etc. and was walking away, last year IIRC.

Nifty had other paths to follow, Maphesto I don't know about.

Chopley also told us he was quitting, he PM'd me and said I could find him on FB which I did, but haven't contacted him.

Unfortunately since this forum mainly deals with gambling, some opt out for various reasons: they want to spend time doing other things with their money, family or work issues, life gets in the way, etc. Sometimes members give me a heads up that they are going to take a break for a while. I don't announce it since I feel it's a personal decision and it's their business. And I just hope that they come back when they feel they that they're up to it (unless they're troublemakers :p).

Then of course, here are the serious MIAs - those who just stopped posting, and their emails begin to bounce. We've had a number of members over the past 18 years that fall into this category, and you are just left to your imagination on what had happened.

But everyday, we get a number of new members, and some of these peeps become active, and the best stick around for years.

Like you guys. :D

No it was Chopley I was thinking of I thought Bloathon was still posting

I'm pretty sure Chopley and Nifty got caught up with work and didn't want their personas to be connected.

We had an extremely active member years ago who ended up getting involved in the brick and mortar casinos in the States, and had to abandon his/her account. That was a massive shame since this person was an awesome asset.

Maybe... I did tell him to F-off, or I would piss on his barbecue...

KK :p

Or did I do the deed, after he called me 'Dunny' ....:)
(Which Tirilej seemed to think was hilarious when I told her what a 'dunny' is in Australia).

I have just realized I have been a member here for a year already, joined on the 13th of June :) So I am 1 year old now :D

I am so happy that I have found this site because if I haven't I wouldn't of learned so much about online gambling and other things.

I read most of the threads which I find to be very interesting, funny and entertaining.

It is sad when we lose some forum members, I became to really like and respect a lot of the members here so don't leave ok :)

Nifty is fine and Dandy ;), i speak to him quite a lot as he is a good friend.

I do miss Chopleys videos though but Dunover has made up for that.

My guess is that people leave because they have stopped gambling and perhaps don't want to announce it across the boards. I know if i quit, i would just quit and Casinomeister would not be a good place to be if i gave up.

Tell him I send my best wishes

Honestly the level of discussion was higher some years ago. Many of the top contributors are gone :(
Most significantly maphesto, GrandMaster and Nifty.

But Bryan is right - some new members have done a good job in filling the big footprints that these people have left behind.
