Glitch - Seriously now.

I am playing under Windows 98SE with IE 6. Fully up to date from Windows Update. 500Mhz Celeron 382Mb RAM, Crappy Packard Bell onboard Graphics Card using Intel Chipset i810-L Ver 6.7 (The final driver upgrade).

The green background on slots affects only some of the casinos, others are OK - the error must be in the various operator builds, and the different way the upgrades are served.

When the upgrade was first triggered I had particular trouble with Casino Action. Comparison with working casinos using Dependence Walker showed no obvious error that was not also seen at others. Such errors were properly trapped, and seemed due to speculative DLL calls due to operating system differences. Casino Action casinos would freeze during the downloading of the upgrade CAB files, leaving the last one with zero bytes and unrequested/downloaded from the server. It was an 'Apache' server. The working control was using a different type of server. After several reinstallations, and several tries, they have now settled down and now work.

I can no longer get at Cashcheck, despite being logged in to my casino and using the $ icon. I get the Cashcheck screen, select the dates, click 'view' and it then tells me I am not logged on to the server. This also happens on the website of 32red. Netscape, though, will allow access through the website. This indicates a browser issue. 32Red have passed this to Microgaming who say that browser settings are the most likely cause. This does not explain why it also fails when in 'trusted sites' though, as settings are very liberal there, no function is restricted there.

hi
same problem here ,i played the last days at 32red,desert dollard & alljackopts and impossible to play with their slots, each time i start a session , after about 10 spins the software closed all the windows(game,lobby...) and i get a popup with this vcore.dll who missing or something like this (it's a xpwindow report)
what's the solution ?
since this micro upgrade i have a memory problem too (message saying :memory full)
all seem ok with videopoker ,a little slow but i can play.....

I am so glad that we are talking about this! I thought it was my computer. But I have been experiencing the problem before the new games download....it's just worse now. I downloaded Spin Palace twice and it was so jerky that my eyes bled and I uninstalled swearing never to go back. All MG sites are worthless for VP in my opinion, slots were not so bad but it was the slots where I got tossed off. I was told it was a traffic problem, one casino said that it slows down at 'peak' playing times. Whatever it is FIX IT!!!! I'm not enjoying my favorite passtime. :(

An update which will fix the issue with slow cards and slots will be out shortly, though I don't have a specific date.

They are still looking into the issue with sudden crashes. But strangely enough, I haven't crashed lately.

Can you explain a bit more in detail about the poker room problems? I have not seen any information on that. But I have seen this phenomena occur with the casino software as well so it's entirely possible some component is used by both packages.

CPU speed has nothing to do with resource usage - the only difference is that whatever task it is doing will be completed faster. Makes no difference whether you have a Pentium I or a Pentium IV, your CPU usage will still show 100%.

Its wierd really. I can play 2 tables on Bet365 with the process "MPPoker.exe" using 1 or 2% of the CPU. Then suddenly my system slows to a crawl and MPP is using 100%. It can be 5 mins after starting play or a hour. Have to close the poker application and sometimes reboot the whole PC. (use a Dell 8400 P4 chip and 1Gig RAM.) Its bloody annoying :(

Do you remember exactly what you were doing when the programs started eating 100% of CPU time? Were you like in the middle of a hand, were the cards in the process of being dealt, were you multitasking (other than having two tables open of course)?

This is one problem I know for certain they would like to get to the bottom of - my casino software hasn't done it lately but I used to have the exact same problem and it drove me batty. Furthermore, it ate up huge amounts of my memory and never stabilized...

OK I thought id isolate the Prima software and see if the problem occoured.

I rebooted, logged on to AOL  , (Broadband 512) logged in to Bet365. Opened 2 tables and watched the games whilst having Task Manager in the corner. The CPU stayed at 1-3% for 11 mins then suddenly jumped to 80-100%. It stayed like that for another 10 mins (I then shut it down).

When I try on my laptop the whole thing stops as it hasnt got the power of my main PC.

It must be something with the program as I can have tables running on 4 different sites without any probs except Prima.

Also logged in via my PAYG (Virgin net) dialup connection and same thing happened after 6 mins this time. I did this to see if it was AOL in some way causing the problems but thankfully its not.

That's useful, thanks. I am quite certain it's something in the software - but exactly what remains to be seen.

What's the OS? WinXP, Win2K or Win9x? Judging by your use of Task Manager I would imagine Win2K or WinXP...

this week I had been playing at Grand Hotel. When I logged back in the next day the software acted like it was reloading. When it came up it was the old software! No new games, and it ran fast! I called to see what was going on and they said that their techs had been getting some complaints about some software problems. (duh) Next day the new software was up again and
s l o w like it was before. I won't play 32 Red anymore, it is so jerky and slow I get frustrated. River Belle is fine and since I'm winning there this week I think I'll stay there until the problem is fixed everywhere else. Don't you think this is hurting MG casinos? I know I have spent a lot less since the problem started.

I've had the same problem with prima....XP pro, SP2.

Seems it only happens with 2+ tables open though.
