Miami Club Casino - I am trying to get answers and things resolved about payout

bruni

You were incredibly rude to staff members and based on other factors I have taken the decision to close your account and void your free money win.

Regards

Ms Sloto

I think some of you are missing the bolded part above.

The decision was NOT based entirely on their rudeness to the CS staff.

If Ms Sloto could provide at least an indication as to what the "other factors" are it might stop those who are accusing MC of "avoiding paying players".

I don't feel comfortable with winnings being confiscated solely due to rudeness. Close the account....by all means...but pay the player first. Of course, this does NOT apply if there ARE other reasonable circumstances...such as the OP not being who they say they are, or not being legit in some way. I'm still stuggling with the incredible level of English from a "self-taught in 12 months" German citizen....and I suspect if we were privy to the insults in chat we might find it is even more incredible.

Ms. Sloto has for years been an attentive and excellent rep for the Sloto casinos here on CM, and honestly, while I suppose an argument could be made for paying and then closing the account, I can also see an argument the other way, and personally, I'm inclined to give Ms. Sloto the benefit of the doubt, on the basis of her established CM track record.

didn't miss it at all; but in lieu of what those factors are, we can assume anything from broken terms to just about anything. Surely Ms, for the benefit of transparency can share those reasons without breaching confidentiality by alluding to generalities and let the OP deny or defend himself accordingly. It benefits everyone to know if the casino may decide to deny funds on just hurt feelings.

Ok here goes: Ms. Sloto has been one rep here that has truly gone way and above for her customers. I wish being from the USA I could play there but there withdrawal options wont work for me. That being said you know I'm not taking sides I'm looking at facts. Name one time that she has done something that others could deem as bad to her customers. She has always responded and helped her people. I think there is way more to this situation that she is telling. Maybe its not a 72 year old I learned English in a year. Maybe there is possible fraud going on. Maybe multiple accts. All I'm saying is for her to do that there must be more then we know.

I think most of these casinos and affiliate programs have redefined things so what is considered normally good basic business practices are now thought of as extraordinary.

Well, with such an ability to learn English, I would presume the OP's GERMAN is impeccable, so maybe one way to verify the story is to verify the OP, but in GERMAN to see if their German suddenly deteriorates to the level of Google Translate.

The OP's story suggests an in situ learning of English, which is often far better than traditional classroom learning. In addition, one would learn "street" English, rather than "academic". This means learning all the "naughty words and phrases" that you never learn in the classroom.

I didn't learn "merde" in the classroom, it came from a week exchange visit when a group of French pupils came to our school to improve their English. We were supposed to spend a week in France, but the school cancelled the trip:mad:

I can't dismiss the OP's story purely on the grounds it is impossible to get to this level of English in just one year.

Well, I'm certainly impressed. This member should be lauded for learning such excellent English in such a short period of time. I live in Germany - have for the past 13 years - and I know no one that could have pulled that off. In general, Germans have very poor English skills. For the most part, this is from the fact that all English films and TV programs are dubbed, so there is no real exposure to the language. Sometimes English words and phrases are used by the media like "happy hour" or "news update", but this is geared towards a younger crowd. The older generation wouldn't understand it.

My daughter is in the 9th grade - she's a native English speaker but her friends are not. Her friends are in their fourth year of English, and they couldn't have pulled this off. I am really amazed at how well Bruni has mastered English outside of an acedemic environment.

In fact, it's rare to find anyone over the age of 70 being able to find even the Internet. This lady is ein Wunder! A miracle!

What I did find odd is that the chat session is near perfect (watch your punctuation and capitalization please!). This is writing on-the-fly as opposed to the English that followed the chat; English that the author had the chance to proofread and possibly correct. It's like Bruni is trying to use bad English.

Here is her intro:
My name is Bruni and I just joint.
I am 72 years old and just self tought me english in the last year so bear with me and
I hope my writing in english not to bad.
I just found this wonderful place.
I only gamble at a few casinos but at the once I do gamble I had good experience and make big deposits.

And here is an excerpt from her chat - written on-the-fly:
you: when will he/she be coming in
you: ?
you: i dont think you can help me
you: eva forwarded a request about 6 hours ago to management
you: when no one was in yet because it was so early
you: i would finally get management or finance to reply to me
you: you may read the last chat transcripts because it would take me forever and a day to type it all in here again
you: essentially do i need the manager to process my still pending payment since the casino has NOT honored the payout time
you: to get this done, do i need a manager, because i am not going to wait until monday and have a total wait time of 122+ hours on a simple neteller withdrawal
you: i was missinformed all the way, told something different by everyone and simply been put off
you: so.. I want to speak to a manager at this point to get clarity... or since we passed the 72 hours maximum as stated on the website.... see the withdrawal
you: one or the other please
The bolded is impressive - for someone to speak with such "clarity". And only one misspelling! Excellent work! I am totally impressed.

In case anyone here is wondering what I am getting at, the Bruni in chat is not the same Bruni posting in the forum. If it is, then something is afoot.

If this is the same person, then the forum Bruni is deliberately misspelling words and making grammatical and punctuation mistakes. The question is "why?".

And please - I don't want to hear the "my grandson/son/whatever helped me with the chat session because my English is so bad" excuse. Been there - heard that.

lol Bryan; as I mentioned, I used to teach English to non-native speakers. I've had students that excelled...but it's RARE! English is THE most difficult language on the planet to learn..aside from the fact that other languages have different alphabets/characters, our language is ridiculous is its complexity...the idioms alone could make one's head spin...the 12 tenses to form a timeline are barely mastered by native speakers, never mind those who use it as a second language. There are bright cookies. But hell, with our somewhat 2 million plus words, college graduates know and can use around 250,000.
I cannot say there are those who are not studious and have gotten a fine command of the language. But as one ages, the difficulty increases exponentially. If the OP has learned what she professes in the one year, well, kudos. But yes, the at-a-moment's-notice speech is grossly out of line to the thought out posts with it's greater errors.
Anyway, that aside; I'm curious: do you think, attitude aside, not knowing extenuating circumstances, whether poor manners alone justifies the voiding of funds. If not, I hope Ms can at least enlighten us to some of the 'other' factors in this case.

I do not like members being rude to staff, but it happens and to be clear we do not void members winnings for being rude etc. I simply mentioned this out of frustration of having to defend Miami Club over something that is not what it seems.

Ms Sloto

It would be nice if you could clue in others as to what 'not what it seems' means.

I think I've covered this in my observation. This Bruni person is not who he/she seems.

In fact, the player pretty much busted herself/himself out by posting here. It's obvious that it's a ruse.

Well, you mentioned he/she may be more or less clever, and that another may be typing, but not what that actually means in regards to paying the free chip win.
I'm sure there's more, but it behooves other players to know what that 'more' might entail. It's nice you and Ms are in the loop, but as for members wanting to deposit and play here, it's at least nice to know what it actually is that's voided the winnings if it's not simply being poor-mannered. If it's a ruse, what is the ruse?
I'm not trying to be belligerent: I'm curious. I've had bad days and lost my temper; I've let the BF play on my acct (2 people sharing a home cant have distinct accts); I've made errors in terms that have voided my win, or have been awarded when the error has been explained to me when it was accidental.
With casinos, there's always pvt affairs, but we also like transparency and closure too. The more we understand, the better players we are

The phrase that convinced me was "forever and a day". What non native English person, who just learned the language (self taught yet), would use that phrase? Don't think so.

I agree. I don't buy the argument from the OP, I don't condone her attitude, and I believe there's more to it. But when it hits the forum, becomes a public issue, it's nice to know what the actual issue is.

My guess is that this is a typical case of someone using multiple accounts, phoney IDs to collect some free chip. Being rude to customer support is one thing - and it happens, but if you are providing false IDs and pretending you are someone else, that is entirely different.

Speaking from experience, casinos don't boot players for being rude, they put up with it. When players cross the line from rudeness to abuse (name calling, using profanity, etc.,), then these players will usually get the sidewalk treatment. And even so, players are given a refund.

From what I understand this is a "free" chip, so there is no refund. But as we can see, it's not a case of being rude, it's a case of (presumable) fraud.

I'd like to hear from the player - some explanations would be appreciated.

Cheers. I'd love to hear what the OP says. But...to be fair, I'd love to know what the accusation actually is (aside from supposition, what Ms says says it is). I don't doubt, Bryan, that's it's a matter of fraud, nor do I doubt your insight. From me, personally, not being an RTG player, but willing to be one, and potentially, with Sloto, I just like having a full understanding to better actualize the workings of the casino. (I've had poor experiences with RTGs, and am ALWAYS willing to give the benefit of the doubt, but, sometimes, even said trust needs to have a foundation......with delays in WDs v other places, when I want to dep and choose where my loyalty lies with an RTG, its best, these days, to insure I'm well aware of the internal workings of a place..with 32Red, redbet etc, im secure in my knowldge; with Sloto, I'm finding my footing).

I think it is worth noting that Ms Sloto posted her first reply yesterday at 8:22 am and Bruni last logged in yesterday at 10:19 am, two hours after Sloto's reply. Bruni did not post anything in his (or her or their) defense. I think we've all seen this before, OP posts a complaint alleging casino wrongdoing, casino suggests there may be more to the story, OP disappears.

To clarify the following term was grounds for my decision:

10.4 If you provide incorrect or misleading registration, account or identification information;

Spot on. When you get caught out - why even bother.

Don't mean to brag but.....I called it yet again

Anyone need a bullshit detector? I'm for hire :D

lol, er......well, if no kudos required.....cough
No, I never suggested I believed in the OP's side (actually, I think I offered evidence to the contrary). My only concern, was regarding transparency so we ALL understood these situations better.
