MGS 243 Paylines Jackpots are very misleading!!!!!!

As many of you have probably experienced there seems to be outrageously misleading coin size (win) coin size (bet) in-discrepancies with 243 payline slots at MGS.

Let`s use Thunderstruck II here as the perfect eg, okay here we have the bet size denomination which is $0.30/0.30p etc, so you would think that wins that are X bet would be in multiplications of this set amount..yes?, well, no, it is not like this at all.

Remembering only to well the time I hit 5 wilds expecting x1000 at .30p x 2 coins = £600 just for the 5 wilds alone, only to be slapped around the face with the big win pop up telling me I had just won a little over £90, I thought this had to be wrong, I sent an e-mail to the casino`s support tagged with a FAO technical support, expressing in great details my concerns on `How many of these sort of wins have I been mis-paid out on?, this one was noticeable, blah, blah`, I waited for a few days and was more than shocked regarding the reply, okay this was an aspect I should have noticed previously, but like many others, had only really calculated the big wins and completely overlooked/ignored the smaller wins, which too, would obviously have showed the same results.

The coin size it was deemed for payouts was based on 1/100th of one credit, to most of us, that`s a penny, wtf I thought, in laymen terms hitting those 5 wilds had probably cost me somewhere in the region of 20-25k, playing as I did back then at several MGS casinos, kinda hoping and praying that when I hit such wins I was spinning for my normal stake of at least £3.00 a spin, thus giving me my horribly wrong miscalculation of a base win alone of £3000. Which IMHO is still well under the actual odds of hitting 5 wilds, but suffice to say, x5 wilds on a 243 payline should yield a mouthwatering hit beyond the base payout of x1000 coin size.

So after this misleading but should have noticed earlier scenario thus it`s my fault etc, I carried on regardless, going for that illusive Jackpot (wrongly thinking it required all achievements to hit), thinking to myself `Well at least I know the amount of the Jackpot if I hit all 5 reels in Wildstorm).

As these Jackpots are rarer than rocking horse shit, it was only until recently I got to talking with someone whom had hit one and posted a screenshot here, that I found out that they have completely misled us again, some simple maths...

The Jackpot is two million four hundred and thirty thousand coins, multiply this by actual coin size = 24,300 credits..... yes?, well, no, it does not add up to this, here once again the coin size has magically changed to 1/1000th of 1 credit, thus paying out a meagre 2430 credits, `Ah but someone stated, the Jackpots are worked out on maximum coins, on a base rate of x10 bet size coin of .30p`, ah I thought, let`s do the maths here then...... x10 coins = 0.10p x 2,430,000 coins = 243,000 yes?, well no, it does not, it arrives now at the exact sum you would/should by all accounts receive for a 2.43 million X .01p hit.

This whole scenario beggars belief IMHO, and now we know 100% for sure what this paltry payout actually is, how many of you, like me, feel that we should get compensated for grossly being misled, by a Jackpot that calculated like a 2.43 million coin Jackpot, that looked like a 2.43 million coin Jackpot, that was labelled like a 2.43 million coin Jackpot, but paid out as a 243,000 coin Jackpot????????.

Maybe it is my experience from playing these "243 ways to win" at land based casinos for years before they hit online that means my confusion was sorted by questioning the attendants at the casinos about them (And back in those days getting a couple of free beers just for asking! Those days are gone in NZ!)

What is strange I think is that SOME of these games require 25 credits to play (Burning Desire) some require 30 credits to play (TSII) why the difference?

But overall the best way to think of it is you are playing 243 lines for 30 cents which is better than paying 243 cents! So on ANY left to right scatter payer you are paying (At 1 x credit) 1c per line.

This is not a microgaming "rip off" aristocrat started these off (I think) at land based casinos years ago with the same formulae.

The only rip off I see is how the cost to play 243 ways has gone from 25 to 30 cents (Inflation perhaps?)

:)

243 more ways to lose? I'm almost glad I am not allowed to play those new games. the more complicated it is to play the more complicated it is to win.

oh and too small to be inflation must be a tax. LOL

You should be glad!
Once again I got robbed and molested by a bunch of drunk, raving Hobbits with a baseballbat yesterday!
Fortunately I managed to escape to Alaska where I did some fishing and caught a few big fish, so I could still withdraw a small amount in the end, but Frodo and his companions are such mean, cruel bastards!

I should hate LOTR like I HATE TSII, but I love it, I cant help it, I love it..:(

And MG have always been inconsequent with the jackpot values.
Alaskan Fishing shows a jackpot of 500 coins, which is 5 wilds at 1 coin.
The clone, Feathers of Fortune (same game different pictures), shows a jackpot of 1.215.000 coins, which is the entire screen filled with wilds at 10 coins.

Aint hit 5 wilds yet and thundersuck feature still sucks but its a great slot at times. Gold Rings and white bearded men on the other hand

Lotro and TS2 are my favourite MG games which I consistently win on. For example I deposited $50 at Spin Palace today and cashed out $600 all thanks to these 2 slots.

Lotro seems to go through good and bad cycles. If you are not getting many rings. wilds etc just change the coinage. It seems to work for me.

You're very lucky then, congrats on the cashout!
LOTR has been nothing but mean to me lately.
The variance is killing me and the biggies just wont hit.:(
Got a little over 100x bet 2 times yesterday at 32RED, both were 4oak, 3 reels wild, just that last reel of stacked wilds missing.:(

Problem is, after hitting that it usually takes the slot only 105-110 spins to take that win of 100x bet back!

So far I've only had one really good hit on it, a little over 300x bet.
And I've played it ALOT in the past 2 months.
There seems to be no such thing as a string of decent and half decent wins that make your balance grow, its either hit big or go bust.

I prefer Alaskan Fishing to be honest, can also be mean ofcourse, but usually gives a bit more playtime because of the bonusround.

I'm not going to spoil any more words on TSII, the game hates me and I hate the game, end of story.

In my personal experience with LOTR, I play until I hit the feature. Whether the feature pays 10x - 100x, I run for the hills. I have played that game solidly for over 3 months and have only ONCE had the FS a few spins after the first set.

I have also only once had a retrigger. I continued playing one day for over 3000 spins. The first feature paid the best and every subsequent feature paid less than what it took to trigger. The best strategy thus far has been - Hit the feature, RUN and come back after an hour or 2.

LOL, same here, only one retrigger so far.
Was playing minimumbets, and the 30 spins paid 6 bucks.:eek2:

That sucks... But I have also noticed if you get 4 Rings to trigger the FS, it often pays less than when you get 3 rings???

TS2... I love the game, but it can also go on long dry spells... Just wanna hit the 5 Wilds in the Wild Storm... a Fantastic Hit!!!

Since we are on the topic of LOTR and TS2... What about Santas Wild Ride? I have heard of 5 Expanding Wilds during FS (Like the Wildstorm), but have never seen it...

Anyone?

Never noticed the 4 rings FS paying less than 3, have to say I dont paid any attention to it either, I've hit 4 rings a few times but cant remember the payout.

I think the odds of hitting a 5 reel ws on TSII are even smaller than hitting all 15 wilds on Alaskan Fishing or LOTR, so you may have some spinning to do.
I hope you get them on the highest possible stake!:D

Santa's Wild Ride I cannot play, the reels simply refuse to spin.:(
They stutter a bit, and after a while the symbols just change into something else, looks awful.
I remember Gokkie posted a screenshot in December of 4 expanding wilds with a scatter on reel 3, still paid 1600x bet if I remember right.
Never seen 5 so far, should pay that 1.900.000 jackpot (6300x bet):eek2:

I wish I had that problem! :(
When I first played it I hit diddly-squat for the first 50 or so spins, but then started getting the free-spins fairly frequently - including a nice win over bet x 200 from the expanding wild feature!
But ever since that first time it's been totally dire! Masses of empty spins and taking ages to get the feature, only to get a pathetic return of bet x 3 or some crap like that. I'm pretty much done with that slot.

LOTR was a similar story - one of the first times I played it I got a free-spin re-trigger & a good return of bet x 198, since then... zip.

TS2 is more consistent; Not that many mega wins from the free-spins - but definitely more mid-sized ones than the 2 above.

At least you get to play......*sniff, sniff*.

Those are MG games right? But in the US we don't get offered either of those games through Villento or Rich Reels.

I hear so much on this forum about TS and TSII or LOTR, but I haven't found a site that includes those games.

Am I just missing the source of these games in my selection of casinos that are "safe" to play at or where we are allowed to play?

@Diane, the US MG clones can't supply US players with logoed slots (e.g. Lord of the Rings, Thunderstruck II,etc). The clones also took games such as Tally Ho, Spring break, Cashville ( and a few others that were my favorites).

I know it`s only for fun, but as there is no download needed to play here or the need to make an account, you will find both TSII and LotR here, hope it works for you have fun ;)....

I hear you KK, SWR can be a real miser. Went 400+ spins before i triggered the FS the other day. I have had some decent hits in the past of 4k+ on SWR.

TSII is much more consistent. Seems the variance is lower than SWR and LOTR.
