Microgaming casinos now seem to have the ability to attach a promotion directly to a game in the real account, rather than a guest or flash insert.

This is how this latest one from Captain Cooks has been done.

100 Free Thanksgiving spins, but obtained by logging in for real and having this pop up after the intro movie (option to play now or save for later). Proceeds are added as a bonus to the bonus account.

This could be a very good and fun way for MG casinos to add extra bonuses (I'll see if it works as it should).

Well now... that's interesting. Since the Capt'n and I aren't on speaking terms, maybe I've got an account at another in the group to check ....

I certainly have a great empty space in my email account where casino holiday offers should be. LOL

It's not as generous as it seems, each free spin is at 1c per line (30c per spin). It could not be any lower without cutting paylines!

Small print? It's right above the expiration date :p

Even so, it's a $30 free bonus...not too bad.

I smell trouble ahead though...there's no link to the T&C for this promotion. Are they going to come back and say you have to make a deposit and clear any WR to actually withdraw winnings from the free spins?

It was by invitation. This contained a link to the terms, and the 0.30c a spin was indeed small print then. A deposit of at least $50 was required on Wednesday, and this would qualify the invitee to have the promotion added to the account on Thursday. Now they have the $50, there is no need to be evasive about the parsimonious nature of the bonus.
Winnings are added to the bonus account, and if they amount to $30 would represent a 60% bonus. The fun is that it could be more as the bonus is won from the spins. I hope this catches on, as it is a fun way to award players with a bonus rather than a flat offering. It is interesting though, that this can be tagged onto a game in the real account. Some may wonder if other things can be "added" to games by operators!
To me though, this looks like it is simply a development beyond the flash minicasino that is inserted into a real account for the free play offer. Selecting "play later" brought me out into the "proper" Mad Hatters game. I suspect that this offer is layed on a duplicate incarnation of Mad Hatters, similar to the way that Flash Thunderstruck is a separate server game from Viper Thunderstruck.
