Might be a silly question but if you start a tourney that gives you, say, 10,000 coins then do a "continue" for, say, $1 and get 5000 coins, how can a player on the leader-board have 15,000 'coins' in their bank (I don't mean in the "win box", i mean "coins"). Can you do multiple continues in one hit?

There was a problem before where vinyl was continuing and it was charging him twice or something and adding the amount of coins of 2 continues at once or something similair.

Could also just be that players are not using all their coins before they buy a continue so that way amount of coins they have would keep adding up. In tournaments with a lot of continues some players will keep buying continues without playing so their coins build up before they play again.

But I am no expert as I never really play tournaments.

I think this is accounting lag, an error in the tourney reporting system. Vinyl was writing about this last time when he got his ass kicked in the last-but-one big freeroll. Apparently it all pans out OK, but it raises eyebrows when players are simultaneously active and buying-in in a short period of time. I'll try and find it for you.:)

Just before and after this page above, there are people observing similar issues but it all works OK eventually.

If you are talking about Celored32 in the latest 32red tournament - he keeps buying games and letting his time run out , and then when he has 40 or 50 thousand coins he blasts through them in one game.

Ah ok that makes sense now :) Thanks sscrabble...never seen that before :)

Simmo, the Fortune Lounge freerolls (in particular the Weekly $2k Blingfest) were always rife with players having coin totals that were way in excess of the amount of coins you would receive for 1 continue.

But that was mainly because of the structure. If you were to get only one free spins round, you would be an absolute cert to run
out of time before spending all your coins.

You were clearly not paying attention then. I used the same tactic to intimidate (unsuccessfully) sscrabble the last time round.

celored32 is just copying me, and maybe it's ME he is trying to intimidate this time.

It may look like it's working, but appearances can be deceptive;)

One does have to make at least one spin in order to start the clock, but done right, it can be used to target a specific total of coins in play.

The original "double purchase" fault seems to have been fixed, and I have seen no sign of it, nor of the excessive lag in the purchasing process that probably caused the fault.

You have to start putting the important stuff in the first 3 pages of your posts VWM: you're depriving us all :p

Vinyl's posts should come with their own search-tool attached......:D
