Your Input Please MG Downloads - WTF???

Think its now just related to Windows 10 - but no go here at all. Cant even remove as I said. Will try removing in safe mode - which is a PITA. If MG dont get a fix soon.

The uninstall also uses a Flash movie, so if Flash errors prevent you from loading Viper, they will also prevent you from uninstalling it.

They will have to keep working on the Windows 10 fix, but maybe the others are going to be OK.

I just got this e-mail (Fortune Lounge):

Thank you for this.

Worked for me when I clicked on the white and then waited. Die came on and then busy logo on top of die and then loaded client log in. Tried it for every MG casino I have on my computer and it worked.

I have just tried this by reinstalling Flash 20 and seeing what happens.

It looks like MG have rushed out a bodge by removing the troublesome Flash content and replacing it with an image, the dice in the case of 32Red. This allows the software to proceed beyond the initial loading screen and launch the main module, something that was blocked before due to the Flash movie problem.

Individual games also display this placeholder image instead of the glossy intro movie, and they launch successfully and can be played.

All we have lost is the "eye candy" of the Flash content, everything important seems to work.

The problem with Windows 10 may be down to the fact that it's a different build of Flash player and it's delivered by Windows Update rather than Adobe. This may mean that the bodge MGS have rushed out does not work properly on Windows 10, and maybe they need to do something else.

In the long term, they should try to ditch Flash altogether and recode their "eye candy" such that future Flash changes don't again break their product, which is something Adobe have warned will probably happen in the future as further changes are made in light of new security holes being discovered.

The trouble with only having the instant casino playable for me is all my unlocked free spin levels on IR,TS2,Playboy,Jurrasic Park, Avalon 2 and TFROL are all on the download clients.

A lot of work and wagering temporarily out the window.

Spoke to James over on Customer support and answer was thus :

James: Unfortunately there is an issue which we're working on as we speak. I'm afraid whatever Adobe did at their end broke all our download casinos
James: It's meant to have been yesterday evening, but we haven't managed to do so as of yet. It should be back up and running soon though

Seems we just have to wait this one out. I wont bother again with the browser based version.

Well still no go on Windows 10 with 32red and when I tried to access the browser version that now hangs.
Tried from 2 different Pcs - 3 times each and all I get is the below.

A company the size of 32red should really start to get on top of this issue and soon.

edit : 4th Attempt finally got in - but could not navigate anywhere. Given up for today (

I've had enough - uninstalled the whole lot. As you can't run uninstaller as it needs flash, simply search C: for all 'mgs' or 'microgaming' files and wipe the lot. You'll clear 10GB of drive space. I managed to log into my accounts and have a game via the non-download versions then I took a break for 6 weeks on all of them. Problem sorted, and I'll check back in a couple of months.

My video in my OP still applies here - aside from the stupid bodge with the die jpg the casino still shuts itself and also won't uninstall.

Same here. dice to get things started and then the casino wipes off my comp. Cant uninstall either! This is now getting a joke! Windows 10 I am running too.

It's doing something REALLY weird to Windows XP too. When launching, it changes my graphics to 8 bit colour!! and on top of that it also puts the screen resolution down to the lowest available. It's as though it throws my PC back to 1995. Even MORE odd is that when I right click the 8 bit dice image, I can see the Flash stats of "movie not loaded" and the Flash version being 20 --- ON WINDOWS XP:confused: There is more to this bodge than the dice, and it's possible that what they have done works fine on Windows 7, but is gaffed on XP, and won't work at all on 10.

I was able to play on XP though, but I had to go in and reset my graphics back to it's proper settings.

I suspect that to get it working on Windows 10, MGS are going to have to recode all the Flash delivery rather than bodge it with an image of a die and it's shadow beneath (that's for all the grammar police, for the rest of you it's just dice). Better still, cut the Flash out completely from the download and use a JPEG or even BMP of dice or cards as a temporary measure whilst they redo all the movie clips with something that has a long term future in Windows 10.

I would test it on Windows 98SE, but that machine is no longer compatible with my home internet systems:D

I'm gathering you have all tried right clicking the program and then clicking run as administrator I'm a windows 7 punter mind you but it works for me. It's not opened by normal clicking in years. Anyway worth a try, let me know.

See my post above yours. Wipe it all off, start afresh and re-download when MG (mega gaffe) have their act together. Don't worry, even if you wipe all mgs/microgaming files off, when you visit the site to reinstall it will recognize your PC's identity and autofill original a/c number and password.

If you want MG games just play at a multiplatform site. Remember the MG techs have probably had an extended Xmas break for a couple if weeks and are just sobering up ready to be back on Monday 4/1.

They obviously let one of their 8 year-old kids stay up late New Year's Eve to bodge it with that stupid die jpg.

Best solution for me was to uninstall flash completely (+ delete all leftovers), then install activex flash 20.0.0.228 for IE, and the most recent ones for Firefox & Chromium. Works perfectly for winblows 7 32 & 64 bit.

As I don't use IE for browsing, it's an acceptable solution. Still have up-to-date flash for browsers and MGS viper works like a charm. On the next update, I'll skip activex update entirely, or test it in one machine first.

Flash is one piece of swiss cheese, that I wish we can get rid of very soon.

Thanks everyone! I was wondering what the heck was going on. My laptop is xp, and desktop is windows 7. I didn't realize it was incompatibility issues, I thought it was a virus, esp when it wouldnt do a system restore. I had 3 different casinos downloaded. I went and deleted everything, anything that had MG attached was deleted ( you would be surprised the amount that are hidden in your c drive). I downloaded Maple and the dice came up. Deleted it one more time, then reinstalled it. Came up fine. Im just keeping that one on.:)

Anyone else had any luck with this yet ? Still not able to load the client and still cant even un-install the 32red software. Thought they would have found a fix for this by now.

MG download on Windows 10 working again.

Just loaded the client for 32RED and Royal Vegas...takes some time to load as it updates but it seems to be back to normal :)

EDIT: forget it :( the client loads but it won't load a slot and gives an error message shutting it down again :( :(

EDIT II: Worked on the third attempt, well let's see how long it lasts

Still not working for me. I just get the screen with the dice still.

You may find that you'll have to keep downloading that fix,
Because windows 10 will update your flash, next time it checks for updates, and there isn't a straightforward way of turning automatic updates off in windows 10
