I'm going to graph some more of these play histories. This is how my sessions go whether I deposit $10 or $100. This line straight down seems inevitable.

It would be more telling to draw a graph that incorporated Tens of Thousands of spins and plotted points per hundred spins (for example) with markers for deposits withdrawals etc and instead of a balance axis you could have a return percentage axis.
You could also plot another line for overall return.
That is an awful lot of work though which is why I have never bothered :p

I've pretty much given up on RTG and headed back to MG but the reality is my chances are probably no better there. I figure I'll just lose to some different software for a change of pace.

Well, they say the proof is in the pudding and if anyone knows better, then Trezz does :-(

It's a sad state of affairs when one comes to the realisation (as I have) that a 50 deposit at any MG casino can only be considered 'Amusement' these days. Wasn't that long ago that I could make 50 last a few hours at least, and on many occasions it lasted beyond that and there were some tasty withdrawals along the way too.....Not any more, those days are gone.

I keep getting sent 'free tickets' for this new lottery draw thing, and I've won a surprising amount of bonus money. Now this bonus money is amazing, I get feature after feature playing with it, and those features get retriggered, but just as I get to the point where bonus money becomes real money, the features dry up and the funds are gone in no time....coincidence? I've gotten bored with this already, and have even ignored the last three or four Emails telling me I have more free tickets.

I said previously, after 8 years playing MGs I, for one, had seen how differently the MG casinos were playing so I'd cut my MG casino play by 90%, but that's now 100% - after reading what Trezz (and others) have to say, what's the point of throwing money away? I don't really like RTG and the less I say about 3 dice the better...All in all, I think I'll go back to playing Texas Hold 'em poker...I've had some decent torny wins in the past - why not again? If nothing else, my deposits will give me some play time, and I can play with the belief that I have a chance of winning...

The problem is online casinos have a lot less to fear from unhappy players than a land based casino. The internet is an unlimited resource for new players.

I used to visit a local land based casino quite regularly. I never won much but my money was well played. I did come out ahead or was smart enough to scram when I came back up to breaking even after hours of play most of the time. Everyone I knew that gambled won something there. Some people won thousands of dollars many times over.

This place was jammed every night. The only real problem was finding a slot machine or table spot that wasn't taken. You could barely walk through this place. One day they decided to install ticket machines in every single slot and poker machine. No more carrying cups of coins around. Just a bar coded ticket. Personally I preferred the sound of all the coins falling but I could live with it. For some strange reason after opening every single machine in the building and installing these ticket machines winning became impossible. Kind of like playing RTG or MG.

It took a few months but the general discussions about this casino went from how much people had won to the fact that you just can't win anymore. Now a year or so later I can walk in there any Saturday night and sit at any machine I like. The place is virtually empty most of the time.

This just isn't going to happen to online casinos. A small handful of players might discuss how terrible the odds are or discredit casinos for rogue behaviour but the reality is for every player that gives up another new player comes along. The supply of suckers on the world wide web is endless.

King Neptune proved this when I told a CSW a lot of players aren't happy with MG these days the answer was "We have millions of players." This is why they can sit back and claim "People are winning all the time." The fact that it could only be about .001% of the people actually playing doesn't matter. If a hundred thousand quit this year a hundred thousand will join next year. They know this so they don't really care.

This is a myth. The number is certainly large, and the product accessible to all, but it is NOT infinite.

There will come a time when "saturation" is reached, and after this point, they will find it harder to find truly "new" players, and will have to start getting back all the "millions" of disaffected existing account holders who are no longer active.

The industry is also intent on making the process ever harder, to combat fraud they say, but a side effect of this is that otherwise legitimate players are rendered incapable of meeting the higher standards of ID, or the ever more restrictive nature of getting paid TO YOUR PREFERRED METHOD.

When I started, I faced little or no "document issues", and if I wanted payment to Neteller, that is what I got.

Now, I EXPECT to have to send in documents, and EVERY time for a first withdrawal. It is a shock when I get paid WITHOUT sending them.
I am also finding it next to impossible to keep a float alive in Neteller, since I now find many casinos will INSIST on paying WINNINGS, back to credit cards. This ensures I am trapped into having to deposit more and more from the card, and this gets me deeper and eeeper into the "winnings back to card" spiral.
Recently, I find I often have a CREDIT balance on my card, but my Neteller struggles to keep a usable float in it. Worse, the process is unpredictable. casinos that SAY only DEPOSITS are returned back to cards suddenly refund a big payout to the card, one I was banking on getting back to refloat Neteller.
Apart from being a problem with me & my float, it is a problem for Casinos' bottom line, since I am blocked from depositing larger amounts from my card that I would have deposited had the funds been in Neteller. The result is I deposit LESS overall than I otherwise would in many casinos. THis might well be good for me, but this means it is BAD for the casinos.

Example:-

I am offered 25% bonus on 2000 of purchases. I INTEND to take the full offer, BUT they, or other casinos, paid everything back to my card last week. My card is limited to 600 in the cashier. The casino only gets 600, and not 2000. I end up keeping 1400 "off risk" unless I get an offer at a different casino.

Someone once said "There's a sucker born every minute." (It probably wasn't really P.T. Barnum.)

I'd like to add "And then they get internet access."

Bumping up as this thread is a very good read on weighting and came to my attention again via Pinababy thru another thread...

OK I am going to have to join in on this discussion; I can't believe I missed this thread until now??

I am absolutely positive MG have changed. I have been playing MG casino's regularly (at the very least 5 deposits a month) since 2001. I used to deposit consistently $100 every time up until about the time they kicked the US out of progressives then lowered my deposits to $50 every time. I did this because I saw a change then and I was not even coming close to the amount of time I could play through a deposit. Less Bonus rounds and even lesser wins!

Now MG has changed once again, removing the US from "New Games" (I won't even get into how idiotic this is here) and I have made deposit after deposit with about 90% of them gone within minutes! No Bonus rounds with maybe an even win here and there and thats if I am LUCKY! A lot of times I don't even get ONE SINGLE EVEN BET HIT!!! On a deposit! It is gone within seconds!

Yes I always play max bets and I change the amount of bet I make until I am down to 1 coin...

Now before the "No new slots for the horrible Americans I had hit a couple of times for good sized wins. I typically bet it all back of course :( but at least I got some "Entertainment" out of a few deposits....

Now I see myself making up to 5-6 deposits per casino in a single day without so much as even coming close to winning my deposit back!! Forget bonus rounds I dont even know what those are anymore!

NOW HOW CAN THIS JUST BE BAD LUCK when I play 7 different MG casinoss all "operated" by different folks? Not long ago if I had "BAD LUCK" at one casino I would simply MOVE to another and that usually worked well but not anymore. Now ALL of them are terrible.
I have tried different games, sticking to the same game, random games etc... And I have simply been told, "Sorry mate its just bad luck" by the casino people
Honesly that statement is a slap in the face for me and does nothing but insults my intelligence.

I am getting so fed up with MG now it makes me sick.... I used to get excited making a deposit and playing but now a days I just feel like a junkie and a fool when I make a deposit... it really sucks

I wish I could just stop playing MG all together as I know that's the right thing to do but honestly there is nothing else to play out there. I have tried RTG (Sorry RTG lovers) I can't stand it. I have tried Rival and (Sorry Rival lovers) I am not a fan of it either but I do think it is a little bit better than RTG but IMHO neither of these two come anywhere close to MG casino's. Not even remotely! Now I can't play WagerWorks since I am in the US but from the screen shots and posts about their software they sound like the closest alternative to MG but just not for me :what:

Sorry for the rant I just had to pipe in here and I am sorry for the long post but I had to get this out... :)

Well you're definitely not alone when it comes to MCG and the reason you missed this thread is bc it's a little over a year old but I decided to bump it up bc it's relevant as to what is still happening out there in cyber world.

Look in the winners screen shot thread and tell me when was the last time that you seen an American player hit it big at MCG casinos. lol..play at your own risk with them..I was depositing over 1k a month before December and now I do 50-75 a month and cash out if I hit anything over a 100. Like you I play at RTg and Rival but they don't do much for me so I'm almost an reformed slots player...lol
