This slot is the best I have seen in ages, unrivalled sounds, graphics and animations along with their trademark potential. It's the scariest I've seen since iSoftBet's old Paranormal Activity and is 100% hard core, unlike the tongue-in-cheek representation (no pun intended) of San Quentin xWays.
Tell me, after looking at this game, taking into account Punk Rocker etc. too, who comes close to this standard of workmanship and creativity amongst the rest of the developers?

Interested to see how @ChopleyIOM views this one when and if he tries it...:p

Decent video :)

Agree it's an exceptional slot. Production is exemplary. Some smaller studios coming up can nail a theme also, better than some recent NLC for me, but agreed this slot is top-drawer.

Potential is an interesting one. In the past, I have been critical of their potential. I know there are lots of max wins realised which is great but if you cant reach them without a Bonus Buy then it feels a bit like false advertising for me, being in the UK.

I rarely play anything past Deadwood because they don't feel like the NLC of old for bonus frequency.

I think Mental might just be a return to a realised potential from the base game, because, the best bonuses I had were from natural triggers or upgrades. When buying the top bonus for a 1000x you don't start with any Fire Frames. or Dead Patient Multipliers.

Get an upgrade into the Mental spins and you could be carrying across lots of Fire Frames and Dead Patient Multipliers for a head start.

I think Mental might restore my faith in Nolimit City and I will definitely be giving this a spin. I can see the potential without Bonus Buys.

Their slots look great, sound great, play smooth.
Im just not sure i can trust the math from a provider counting 75x wins as 150 000x tho.

Kind of weird how they are even allowed to present leaderboards using that sort of alternative math.
If i STAKE ÂŁ400 to buy a bonus its not exactly rocket surgery to figure out what my stake for the round was.

Its not 20p

Always thought (and occasionally said) there should not really be any limits to the genre which can be used for slots, given we have to be over 18 anyway (obviously not allowing anything OTT, racist, phobic etc etc)

Should be able to do stuff like what we see in the video without fear of reprimand or complaints.

It does like very good, however I do think we need proper video mini clip style animations instead of slides or stills, maybe seeing the patients strapped down in their 'treatment' chair or the ball gags being forcibly strapped on whilst the patients struggle futilely

Once you've had both jabs, you're allowed a little 'wiggle room' and can think for yourself for a short while, that is until they "Press the button" (sometime in 2025 I believe)

Back to the slot, yes I'd love to have seen the original design before the tone down was enforced.

Theme aside (patients who were tortured to death in a mental hospital, very 'gritty', maybe for the next release we can have Jimmy Savile's Paedo Paradise or something), this slot is just bad IMO. I'd be interested to see what changes had to be made prior to release, and what the objections raised were.

(If you're not aware, you can play it right now over at the NLC affiliate site.)

Base game has a sample that seems to loop every 15 seconds or so, standard issue NLC dead spin city and small wins, the occasional bit of something better appearing out of nowhere.

The bonus rounds are more confusing than anything, they've thrown so many mechanics in there now that you're left watching things splitting and nudging and 'waysing' and all the rest of it, and when that's all done you get to see what's in the mystery box as it were, and what you've won or not. (Plus it goes through all the animations and everything even if it's a complete miss win wise and is a zero pay.)

The theme doesn't bother or offend me particularly, but it doesn't make for a slot I'd want to spend too long on either, unlike, say, Punk Rocker which is an agreeable game to spend an extended session on.

The sepia-toned graphics aren't wildly exciting, and the game overall lacks the animations, sparkle and pizazz of Punk Rocker.

Also, ignore the feature buys and just play the base game and see how you get on with it, this can want a large number of spins for a feature and pay appallingly when it finally comes in.

And the 1000x stake streamer bait feature buy is the final kick in the nuts for those who'd want a slot to be interesting to play normally. I have tried a few feature buys, I've had the 80x return as little as 2x stake, the 200x down around 30-40x, and the 1000x can easily just do in the 100s somewhere.

I wasn't a massive fan of X-Ways Hoarder, but I'd take it over this any day of the week and twice on Sundays.

Maybe one day they'll make another pleasant game, like Wixx.

Too late Jono, the world saw :)

Could be worse, you could have just compared a horror genre slot to one based on paedos.

Not bothered really mate. :D

Just removed as I am way too tired to get into any form of back and forth trying to explain to members who are maybe equally as tired

*See how diplomatic and nice I made that ;) - A Tina Turner songs springs to mind!

Yes, you are far more diplomatic than me, I should take a leaf out of your book.

It's a nice trait to have.

p.s. did you mean Nutbush City Lmits? :p

Chopley nailed it in his comments, it's impossible to tell what's going on in the bonus. And it will indeed make for tedious play in the base game for those who can't buy bonuses.

Bought 100 bonuses in demo, and never saw a win involving any patient symbol, let alone the Lecter character.

How did u play it in demo? it is not available on their own website yet!

Also anyone know when the slot launches?

Call me crazy but I love these dark slot graphics. Just like the Diablo 2 whis is my all time favourite PC game.
Have you tried Path of Diablo?
Its a Diablo2 mod that has some balance fixes making more classes viable, some added skills etc.

In about a month Blizzard will release the hd remaster of Diablo 2.
Looks pretty good.
