Announcement Meister Meeting 2018: FREE BEER! ALL MEMBERS INVITED!!

I thought last year was quite good but this one took the biscuit. It was rambunctious. The great thing I've observed is how the vibe is always very friendly, making it a very unique experience!

Got to have a brief dalliance with a few people but if I miss any names, shoot me!

Simmo was a true gent, I'd never met the guy before. Very knowledgeable and friendly to talk to. Very cool dude

Sara was nice as always and and at times it felt as though there were celebrities in attendance with her constant papping

Dunover is as you'd expect a very funny guy and me and my partner had a hoot conversing with him. Larger than life and you could listen to him for hours. Remarkable guy

Let's see, let's see........there was aceking123 who was nothing like I expected either, but a thoroughly friendly chap who has his wits about him. Really enjoyed chatting to him

There are others who I briefly met but as last year, it's quite difficult to cram them all in. By the time you've warmed to the occasion and spoken to a couple of people it's already two hours gone

And having met Trancemonkey very briefly, he was totally at odds with his onscreen personna. What is it with that :p He seemed like a cool guy, very relaxed and affable.

I think I recall seeing Lady Jelena in my peripheral vision taking pictures of everything too :p met Conor (& pal) from Trada very briefly whilst attempting to keep my balance at the bar, he seemed really young- looking. Oil of Ulay? :D

Incrediblestuff also for about three seconds, good he could make the journey

So all things considered, that's a pretty good recollection. The hasty drinking at the Meistermeet was one thing but doing a bottle of white rum upon returning means it's actually miraculous I haven't wet the bed, and still remember my name....

Bryan though, what a host. What a chilled out dude. This forum is testament to him and the kind of people in attendance, it was great for him to provide the festivities for everyone. Thanks again

Just got back home, and strangely enough only slept for 6 hours :p
Thought i would be comatosed for at least 5 more!

Indeed well worth the trip, i too had an awesome time, and as goatwack stated above, our meet was very short, but at least i managed to get him involved in a pun :p

Meeting Bryan and Max (they're kind of a duo really :D) again was great for sure, and i also enjoyed seeing and/or talking to a load of valued forum members, such as funnymunny (really nice and very interesting to talk to), aceking (awesome bloke, only had a brief chat though), patience (great chap, and had looked forward to a talk and some beer, but he went to fetch himself, his companions and me one then disappeared:p), conor-trada (fabulous chap, had a good talk with him too), Simmo, conker and neilw (few brief chats with all three lads + some drinks, which i thoroughly enjoyed) and jelena (really nice to talk to and also a stunning visual entity:p) and Andreas from VS which was a blast - very funny and remarkably knowledgeable about weird facts and the history of the world.

Met a few other people that i had previously met in A'dam, and some of the guys from VS and got to meet up with Enzo from 3Dice the next day, which was also something on my list for the longest time...

The main course for me was meeting up with tirilej, and we both had a planned meeting with Pat too, who unfortunately had to cancel, but i did spend the morning and afternoon before the meet with her, and we had a good time!

The ICE was impressive, there will surely be some photo's from tiri and Bryan, and hopefully some footage from dunover - with whom i pretty much spend the entire day on the ICE, and we had a great time too! Very nice guy, intelligent and funny as suspected, also had a few serious talks with him, about various topics, but mostly fun :p

Another short highlight was meeting some of the people from Thunderkick, one of my fav providers, and we had a good laugh about various forum topics here..

To spice it all up there was an abundance of female representation (of the lewd kind) which made everything mor pleasing to the eyes, with plenty of new slots and games to look forward to..seeing some VR here and there, new 'real live games' and so much more...

We also went for a meal and a drink and later the Casino with a bunch of people after the meet, which was very nice as well...i had a great time, but my 3 (or rather 2) days were just too short to really 'see it all' or talk to everyone...

Guess i'll just have to go again next year!

If i failed to mention anyone, it's due to long train rides, some alcohol and the enormous joint i immediately rolled when i was back home:p
Cheers!

*edited to add some facts i remembered when the coffee finally kicked in :D

Absolutely gutted I couldn't make it this year. Sounds like you all had a great time. The last couple of months have been quite hectic for me to say the least, but returning to normality slowly. It is a shame as I hoped to get some good footage not just from the Meister Meet but also the ICE and LAC.

Can imagine that you had a lot on your plate with that lawsuit and all!
Maybe dunover put on his hidden cam and made enough footage to share:p

I got back late last night so I haven't been able to download the pictures until now. Only 700 :p

I really love walking around in London. That city is so much alive, and it's beautiful and ugly too and I love it all. One day I might be able to see it in the summer too and I'm sure it's even better.
I did take pictures at Waxy's too but not so many this time and they were not that great as last year, but a few was ok and I will post them in a few days.
The pictures I took walking around will take a bit longer but in a week or two I will post a few of them also.

It was great meeting all I've met before and those I met for the first time now. Especially Incrediblestuff, who I've renamed to oldiestuff now because he was constantly tired :D
I missed a few who I thought would come but maybe next time, or somewhere else...

Thanks Bryan and staff. It was fun:thumbsup:

Constantly is a bit harsh! :p

I only got a bit tired after walking through London with you for hours, and more so the next day when walking on the ICE: especially since i was stupid enough to put on my shiny shoes instead of my sneakers :D

Looking forward to the pic's!

Is that Mr. D auditioning for the role of Uncle Fester in the Addams Family 2?

Or has he just realised that his Travelodge brekkie is about to come out the other end all at once and he has no realistic shot at the getting to the bathroom in time?

I hope it's the former....for his sake. :p

Whether you like it or not.....:laugh::laugh:

LOL.. I just got back, great fun, will post a bit of detail in time. Yes, brilliant idea of Sara's to do that face-pull in black and white, a journey into the Outer Limits while I was looking for the Gold D.....and yes, just for McGameboy I took a photo of my little breakfast this morning!
I learnt a couple of things, Incrediblestuff is a fantastic chap and tofu is the vilest substance created by man since VX came out of Porton Down.

Sounds like a good time was had by all and sorry I couldn't get to the pub but I did meet a few people at the Empire and Hippodrome on Tuesday and a lot of streamers at Aspers on Wednesday and Thursday :)

I didn't leave Excel until past 6pm each day and travelling on the DLR back to Bank isn't the easiest during rush-hour.

Had way too much junk food last week :(

As I'm allergic to the evil red tomatoes and hate hash browns I had to miss them out, no fried eggs available unfortunately so had to have scrambled. I was quite restrained this year, 6 rashers bacon, 2 sausages, half a pound of scrambled eggs and a spoon of mushrooms each day as you can see. Last year 4 sausages and more mushrooms so I cut down on those. The thing is, a big high-fat and high-protein breakfast like this literally kills my appetite for the rest of the day, don't feel hungry again for about 12-14 hours afterwards. It's a dieter's dream! :D:D

AND it seems to have sorted my daily wind problem out!

....

My secret is out now!

In all seriousness, it was great to meet everyone!
I'll definitely try and join in next year again. :)

Conor

A fab MeisterMeet! A great turn-out and everyone seemed to be well in the spirit of the thing. And apparently y'all brought your appetites too. By the time I turned away from my conversation to sample the food it was history! Ah well, Chinese afterwards was damn good, as always. Even got a few more converts to deep-fried spicy tofu. :cheerleader:

Karolina and Webz, you guys were indeed missed. Hopefully we'll see you next time.

Yep, this year was a smashing hit! I've got the receipts to prove it! :p

It was awesome seeing you all once again - some new faces as well. We even had a Russell Brand look-a-like crash the party with his mate but they just wanted to listen to the music - they knew all the words. I said it was cool just don't order any libations. I had "Whisky in a Jar" running through my head all week.

Hope to see you all there next year - and hopefully more - same "bat time" same "bat channel".

I have loads of photos - they will be posted soon. :D
