Mega Fortune – largest ever online Jackpot

On the other hand. I do not think that this progressive game itself is the most profitable game, but it probably gives a revenue boost for the casinos when it has such a high player volume. And Net Entertainment casinos have most likely attracted many new players because of this jackpot. Players who also tries other and more profitable games.

This game has proably already reached the point of being +EV for the player. I'm sure casinos still make their odd 5% or so from each bet though. The base game return excluding jackpots is probably around 90%.

Pure speculation, of course ;)

My guess is 80% - and I have a pretty big play record on it.

It is probably +EV now, but variance is so big it doesn't really matter.

It's not a good game to play.

My guess is the jackpot will hit between now and the gambling show coming up soon. I will not go into details about my guess.

It would certainly be convenient for NetEnt if this massive jackpot at MegaFortune were to be won during EiG in Milan this week - just think of the publicity that could be generated by flying in the lucky winner (assuming he or she did not desire anonymity) and milking the story for all its worth.

I'm still sufficiently a believer to say that NetEnt has no control over when it hits or who will win it, however.

Yes, I agree of course. Like you, I do not believe that Net Entertainment has control over when it hits or who will win it. Net Entertainment is not the biggest software company, but they are certainly one of the most reputable.

For those of you who believe that Net Entertainment actually controls when it will be hit, here is the "recent" Mega Fortune hits. Please feel free to look for a pattern :p

Funny if someone wins €11millions+ from a freespin offer with a normal 35 times WR. it's a fully possible scenario. And a lot of free spins is given to players on this game latest month or so so theres a big chance of this happening. (I have had over 500+ spins from netent casinos latest month. I'm a member of all net ent casinos.)

:eek2:

That's a disturbing thought.

the freespins thing : i had the same scary thought. I was very very careful to set my account balance to 0 before making a non bonus deposit to play this slot. I realise how small the chance of the jackpot is but it could be voided if you won for the common "no play on progressives with a bonus". or you could be trapped with huge WR if the jackpot hit. With this much interest in the game casinos should be VERY careful about warning the customers about this stuff at the moment!

.

About the free spins. Yes, I know that several of the Net Entertainment casinos are giving away 5 free spins or something every day on this game. If a player would have won the jackpot with these free spins, then I am sure that no casino manager would have required the player to complete a WR. That would have been a "disaster" for both the casino and Net Entertainment.

About deposit bonuses. I do not think that Net Entertainment based casinos practice "no play on progressives with a bonus"-clauses in their T&C (I have never seen it, so it is to my knowledge). But as always, read the relevant T&C before you accept any bonus.

Hi Everyone,

I just wanted to jump in and say that if anyone hits any progressive jackpot at NordicBet, TrioBet or ToBet from a free spin promotion we will of course NOT make you meet the wagering requirements

I am amazed how high this jackpot has gotten, someone will be very happy :D

Good luck wherever you may be playing!

Ben

That's great to know. If a lucky punter hits that massive jackpot from a free spins promotion and actually receives the money? Talk about publicity

As a side note (and for your information :)), I remember somebody mentioned ChiliCasino earlier in this thread. I read a Microgaming press release today and ChiliCasino are now using Quickfire. I was a bit surprised by that news, as they most recently have used Net Entertainment as their main provider. I have never used ChiliCasino myself, but I know that they only had a smaller selection of Net Entertainment games. I looked at their site now and yes, they are not offering Net Entertainment games anymore. I asked live chat (out of curiosity) about this change. This is what they could tell me :)rolleyes:) :

[Chili] hello
[Chili] not anymore
[Chili] now it's micro gaming

Anyway :D

I'm a Chili Casino player, for quite a while now. I've not made a deposit in a few weeks, I had a (now resolved, thanks Andrea) issue with a cashback bonus. I was unable to get live help at various periods of the day, or any response to messages through their centre or directly through email. The CM rep was on holiday, and it took a couple of weeks for him to get it sorted. I'd decided not to play again, total lack of response from CS was disturbing, and I don't want to have to rely on a rep to settle what should be a routine issue.

Nice of them to let players know. Perhaps they had already cut support knowing they were switching platforms.

Time to put my documents together and join NordicBet I guess.

As a registered player at Chili, have they not informed you about their software change ?

It is very rare that a casino replace ALL of their games with new games from another provider. So I would guess that any serious casino would have contacted all of their players and explained very carefully why they are doing these changes and of course begging the player to still be a customer

Yes, Nordicbet will give you better service

NordicBet come highly recommended?

I have only good things to say about Nordicbet. I am very selective when choosing casino so yes, I highly recommend them. As a great admirer of Net Entertainment, Nordicbet became my choice since they have a full selection of NetEnt games. I have also tried for example Betsson, but their site is so terrible slow. Poor technical solution.

I see that Nordicbet now offers bet on "when will the jackpot hit?" (month)

Bit strange that they offer bet on "never" ?

Max Bet

Hello,

Some interesting odds on the time and country too. I know that the last 2 times it was hit was between 9pm and midnight but that is probably due to more people being online playing during that time.

mn001, I will find out the max bet and get back to you, it is a holiday here in Malta so I sent the sportsbook team an email as I am not in the office.

Have a great day everyone.

Ben

A man (1,20) who wins the jackpot worth more than €12,499 mill (1,45) on a Thursday (5,00) between 21.00-23.59 CET (3,00) in September (1,72) will give you the lowest odds combination :) .

As for the winning time of the day. Most of the players who use Net Entertainment are from Europe. People have the tendency to play in the evening (CET). This is probably why we can see some Net Entertainment based casino are having promotions/tournaments during daytime (for example free spins at lunchtime).

If you were to bet that the jackpot would never be hit it would be a win-win for Nordicbet....think about it...if the jackpot gets hit Nordicbet wins......if it never gets hit they also don't have to pay because never just keeps going and going...they could offer any odds they want on that prop!

Someone else just pointed that out to me in an email. If they take money on that bet then they have to set a time limit I'd have thought.

On the other hand, if it never gets won, people will get suspicious, the software will be called into question and the reputational damage would be immense. So I think Net Ent would have to "force" it anyway LOL.

I firstly think that bet is just a joke, no punter will put a bet on that.
However, reading through thread, sounds like it is serious matter.
Then how to define never? until this slots is no longer available to players?
Or the jackpot amount is growing too big and overflowed?:D:D:D

I have decided to stop chasing on this slots for a while, just too boring to play it any more.
I feel sick after playing this slots too long. I need a break:oops::oops::oops:

Yes, that is exactly why I wrote it was a bit strange. Since "Never" is far too vague.

Anyway, I do not think that this "never" odds should have been offered by Nordicbet. It is obviously too vague as mentioned, and it will only give both the game and the casino unnecessary negative focus in my opinion. Strange decision by the sports section at Nordicbet.
