Mecca have disabled my deposits until they get proof that I can afford them (er just check my profit ,7.5k at Mecca and 6.5k at Grosvenor )
Anyway they have 2 options, download docs or allow them access to my bank account via Experian.
Has anyone else used the Experian option, just want to check it is safe, you have to log into your bank account then give
permission for Mecca to access it.

I heard about the wanting access to your account option, wouldn’t it just be easier to get a credit report your earnings are reported your accounts reported and your managing of money not ideal for everyone I know, I removed a couple of years ago a casino checked identity this way it showed up on a report

Not particularly this but assume that similar service if they use it to your affordability check. I would say it's secure, you give them read only copy of your bank statement (that what i assume this do as well if it helps them to check affordability top of ID and Address).

Service i've been playing around is giving casino (in this case but what ever business) copy of your one or two year bank statement with all transactions, data already analyzed to count your disposable income, fixed payments in and out, other transactions categorized like gambling etc... and how much you spent any months and of course average. Possibly risks like short term loans, overdrafts etc...

I think it's really secure but if giving much information like one i've been using, personally wouldn't use it if there is no need for that much. In your case it seems that you are winning so uploading few pictures from requested documents probably would share less information with them. I personally only want to share what is actually needed instead of giving them full review of my bank account with all adul site subscriptions and other stuff which shouldn't be much of their business (they are so cheap and not member of many sites :) ).

EDIT: With quick stalking, Experian don't provide that detail information about your banking what other service i've been using, looks to be much less detailed and verify more your identity, address etc.... But didn't check that carefully as their site have loads to read, some idea about numbers on your account need to be there as used to check affordability, would just to be curious, ask them what all information they do get through that service. If not much, it's really easy and no hassle to send more and more pictures which are blurry or miss some information.

Is this Experian boost? - sounds a bit like Open Banking; if it is, maybe similar to OB in that you grant them read access to your bank. Anyone using it should be regulated by the FCA, which Experian are: even if there is fraud on the a/c, you won't be liable (not that that's a selling point!): personally, i wouldn't.

I assume it's this one, don't have time to check much now but at least looks to be verification service and give you some info of your finances as well:

You do not have permission to view link Log in or register now.

I was referring to really similar service than @pinnit2014 read only rights to your account, handy and easy but bit too much information i would like to provide all casinos i have account. Didn't really check this Experian that deeply, other one i did as had to study what everything it can do and what it with can be done if integrating to other platform, but that's different story.

Think is might be better just to download the relevant docs, if I dont really understand this Experian thing,
what information is given and where it goes it,therefore it would be stupid to use it.
Seems to me all this information the casinos request flies in the face of data protection principles.
I really really hate sending anything, rules or no rules its none of their damn business.
Comes down to how much you want to gamble, this is the third time I have had accounts
suspended/restricted since March, If i wasnt doing well at the moment I would say stuff it.

I think it's more a question of why any casino should have a mandate to do this in the first place. I mean, scanning your bank account? I'd sooner just close the casino account in question or tell them to make do with a pay slip (which is still highly invasive as it is).

I was really surprised about conversion how many people actually gave permission to casino to get their last year or two banking details directly from bank. Was laughing when heard about it and pretty sure it's near 0% of requests who does it, but was proven wrong.

So nothing really surprise anymore what personal information people "who have nothing to hide" are ready to provide such cool companies like online casinos...

Has it really come to this now? Giving a casino (where all or most of your deposits are derived from their money you won) access to you bloody bank account via a US-owned Credit Reference Agency? The fucking lunatics have really taken over the asylum.

It's read only so as safe as sending a bank statement unredacted.
Would I give them access to my bank account though, not a hope in hell.

At least, unlike the scummy tactics Casumo use, they aren't holding a withdrawal to ransom though.

Jesus, how much are you depositing??! (No answer to that needed btw) I have small deposit limits attached to all of my accounts and Grosvenor emailed me many months ago to see how much per month I was comfortable losing there. They then set that as my deposit limit.

As far as I am seeing it, if you don't set a limit off your own back, they will set it for you through these affordability checks.

Limits are set to £500 a day at both Mecca and Grosvenor, dont usually deposit that much and i do withdraw
pretty quickly if I win a bit and may deposit again later.Probably makes my deposit totals look high.
Still think its only profit and loss thats important but casinos judt seem obsessed with deposits.

Shadow tell them to go fuck themselves, outrageous!!

I could but it would mean packing up gambling, tried a certain new casino a few months ago and it was
a disaster, ended up with them holding my withdrawal to ransom, i vowed then I wouldnt open any more accounts in this shitty enviroment. Can I just say that although I seem to attract trouble I have done nothing wrong whatsoever and was betting at higher levels 10 years ago with no problem.

Yeah 500 a day is high, works out at 15k a month and the way they'll see it is that is what you could potentially deposit. Who earns 15k a month?

Contrast that to my £25 a day limit allied to a couple of hundred limit per month.

its only set that high as i have been very lucky at both Grosvenor and Mecca,no way would I actually lose
15k a month, I would be long gone before that.Stupid thing is that they can see my account and profit
level and must realize that is how I am funding the deposits yet still ask if I can afford it.

Just to put it in perspective, I am currently playing lil devil at 30p a spin trying to get the last 10 hearts,
cost me £20 so far, big question, will i make a profit, hardly out of control.

Will they ever stop treating us like children and just let us get on with what is supposed to be a pleasurable
pastime.I have been online gambling for over 20 years with no problems till this year.

I've had similar with Grosvenor, elected to send attachments rather than the Experian thing. However Grosvenor have a huge backlog, submitted mine end April, still not got to the end of the queue!
