Matt Lucas starts apologising for the characters he played

It had to happen in the current world of snowflakes and the easily offended that Matt Lucas star of Little Britain and Come Fly With Me has apologised for the character of Dafydd The Only Gay In The Village and to anyone who was bullied at school due the character and says he now never play anyone of a different race.

Matt and David were -probably the last comedians to play characters of a different race in Come Fly With Me and we now seem to have crossed a line where this type of British comedy is unlikely to be seen again.

Of course, another cucked luvvie apologist ruing his past work and appeasing that 0.2% demographic that was (likely not) offended by it in the first place.

Yes, he black-faced for some comic creations shall we say - wasn't an issue back then, his shows were ultra-popular and nobody said a peep.

We also had films like White Chicks doing the rounds and not a word said about that. Robert Downey Jr in Tropic Thunder etc etc.....people DID comment on his blacking-up for that role but conceded it was funny and in keeping with the comedic theme.

Also worth pointing out that apart from trying to garner cheap virtue-signalling points, Little Britain is still shown frequently in all its unadulterated glory. So I guess it can't be that harmful to the moral fabric of our society eh

In fact Taj in Come Fly With Me was a big hit with the asian community and was probably one of the few asian stereotype comedy characters we have had and was very well received.

I do not know any gay male who is offended by David the gay in the village nor are any of my black or Asian freinds offended by any of the characters on little Britain or come fly with me. the worlds gone mad not allowed to sing ba ba Black sheep any more or say black board. nobody is allowed to be one gender because that is also offensive to be a male or female. being a gender neutral unicorn is suffice I suppose

Little Britain is one of the few TV comedies I ever watched, as the new 'edgy' PC-lefty ones like Boyle and that tit Romesh are just soooo boring. I even have the series DVD set. How can anyone not laugh at the 'Gay Trekkies' scene and the elderly lady in the village shop telling Dafydd the only copy of Gay Times had been sold and contained a 'very informative article on fisting'. Brilliant stuff. Lucas and Walliams are lefties themselves and their comedy, typical of the BBC, was aimed at the conservative middle classes in general. This did backfire when the 'village racist' scene (where an elderly lady vomited on non-whites) caused schoolkids to pretend to throw up on them too in the playground, a fact reported in the press.

If you have the DVD set and watch the unpublished scenes you'll see there was another sketch where a single mum on a council estate equipped her house free of charge with Sky TV and other stuff by shagging the installers which was probably deemed too offensive and suggestive of the chavs class and those on benefits.

As they made their name with the Little Britain series I think it's a bit hypocritical apologizing now, to re-establish their right-on credentials.

Indeed and if you have never watched Come Fly With Me Dunover give it a go it will be the last of it's kind, what really brought the pc generation to me was last year when Tracy Ullman was doing impressions of Theresa May and Angela Merkel and then she had to do Diane Abbott she got the voice spot on but could not visually impersonate her she had to pretend she was rehearsing a scene doing the voice.

I loved Lou and Andy and of course, the "Computer says no" lady Carol Beer. In come fly with me, my fav was Precious, never any coffee to be had in that coffee shop. These two series were jam-packed full of laughs and stand the test of time in terms of humour. Shame we have people who don't have a sense of humour determining what ought to be allowed.
