power of the people

What power?

I say:
The power of the almighty buck...the power of the people! All the plans and schemes of any site owner or management teams will not mean a hill of beans if the people do not choose to deposit or support a site with their MONEY!
The online player is the very foundation of this industry..NOT the affiliates, the forums or the parasites of online gambling, or the ceo's that sponsor grand and lavish soirees to celebrate profitable enterprises. These entities have established themselves for one reason...to accomodate and/or profit from every single individual that chooses to gamble online.
Everything emanates from the individual that is looking for some online entertainment and diversion in the form of gaming. This is not a ' who came first, the chicken or the egg" mystery. The active depositor and participant in all forms of online gambling came first, and without the demand for an interesting, fair, equitable gaming venue, the supply would diminish appropriately. This is real and fierce power that every player is in possession of, and as a group, can make or break the industry.
I have witnessed an amount of disrespect and intolerance from site owners towards depositors as a routine and operational method of business based partly on the sites right to have the last word and final decision on any issues.
I am here to say that the player ultimately has the last word and final decision, and when the average player embraces that power and refuses to accept the trickery, pandering and deception associated with too many gaming sites, stops participating, depositing and promoting corruption, then we will see new standards emerge in the industry. POWER TO THE PEOPLE!

Um, let's be fair here.

I don't see GPWA.org or Casino City advertising for any shoddy rogue casinos. Michael Corfman is a stand up guy who I've known for years and has done a hell of a lot for this industry. We are pretty much on the same sheet of music when it comes to doing the right thing.

I can see where the flack is directed at J.Todd because - like it or not - he can be rather outspoken. Well, that's just the way it is.

As for the Gambling Wages issue, I think I mentioned some time ago that each online entity (Casinomeister, CAP, GPWA, APCW...) should work independently when it comes to providing ANY casino outfit a chance to redeem itself. J.Todd gave Gambling Wages a chance, and they did it. I gave the Virtual Casino Group a few chances, and they didn't. J. Todd is not privy to the private correspondence I've had with numerous employees and ex-employees of the Virtual Casino group, nor is he privy to the details of the loads of complaints that have come through me. And neither does Gambling Wages - in fact, I don't think I've ever been in contact with Gambling Wages - nor have I pursued them either.

The bottom line is, there are complaints that are unresolved - and the casino is aware of most of these. It would be unfair to both the APCW and Gambling Wages to chastise them for not taking action on these complaints since these are player/casino matters. GW is merely the marketing arm of some of these casino. If Gambling Wages wants to tackle some of these, they know where to find me :D

And I'm sure they are aware of the player who is owed about $1.5 million. There is just nothing they can do about it because their pockets aren't that deep.

I see this merger as a good thing.

Thank you. I always appreciate your honesty. Michael is a good guy and together we will all be moving in the right direction.

The ones that I do consider ethical and good, are for the most part the ones who contribute to this forum
That is truly the most silly thang I've seen you post Pina. Good and VERY ethical affiliates don't need to post here to be one.

who do make the effort to keep up on current player issues.
That statement I agree!![/QUOTE]

You know what Jinnia....I didn't word that correctly. I didn't mean that the ONLY good affiliates come here, although that's the way it sounds. What I meant is that the ones I know, I mostly know FROM here. As long as they keep up on player complaints/issues, it doesn't matter what forum they read. But I do think they need to read more than affiliate sites/forums. Hope that explains it better.

gw not responsible..apcw not responsible..so and so..not responsible

Player/ casino matters? ok....Where was the marketing arm and the affiliates when this player was looking around for a reputable place to deposit and have some fair and honest entertainment? Did they involve themselves at all in his choice, in any way? You betcha! That is their job!
And when an affliate or a marketing group do decide to step in, what is wrong with a little honesty instead of a shmooze job? If an agreement or a settlement can not be reached what is wrong with saying that instead of " everything is fixed, this gaming group is really swell, they have seen the error of their ways and they HAVE paid the outstanding monies to players., so lets all jump on their "new" philosophy of fairness and support them as they have supported the player". BULL!
As I am seeing this, no one is actually accountable for the corruption and trickery that exists in online gaming, everyone has an excuse, and maybe some of them are valid, but it is certainly not the player that has devised self serving, site flexible and house edged rules that lead directly to confusion and abuse. You can tell a player to stop clicking on links to suspicious sites ( if he even knows what to look for as suspicious), you can warn him about a site and even list rogue and blacklisted sites, but until affiliates and marketing arms stop spreading paid for hype and LIES,( and take no responsibility for the consequences) the confusion and abuse will continue.Business as usual. This is my feeling on this and I stand firm.

I was just alerted to this thread and to be honest I havent read more then a page of it, but I do want to say CAP and myself are flattered to be the subject of so mention attention. With all that is going in in the industry and in the world and in the US, GPWA had devoted 98% of their posts to CAP and now I see we are getting a good bit of free press here too.

Guys We do the best we can, we are human, many of you dont have much experience with CAP as this is a player community. Casinomeister and Bryan are the best as far as I have always thought and said. As a administrator of a large community he knows there will always be a small percentage of "members" who simply are hostile and negative folks and like us he bans his headaches too when they get out of hand. We have 7700 members and probably less then 12 have been banned over the years. We offer a free service and all we ask is people behave in a positive and professional manner and respect us as hosts. 99% do that and get the most out of our community, free publications and events. The 1% who dont are invited to go elsewhere. Its as simple as that. If it was YOUR business you would do the same. No one has to tolerate rude behavior and we dont.

Enough ranting. Tongue in cheek remarks coming below:

I wont be the least bit surprised to be accused of the following at hostile competitors sites:

1. I was the one on the grassy nole in Dallas. Warren supplied the gun and Dom orchestrated the final shot through binoculars in the book depository.

2. I shot down Amelia Earharts plane, just because....

3. Jimmy Hoffa is buried under the CAP facilities in Irvine. We did it as a favor to our mafia ties and they have been supporting us ever since.

4. The weapons of mass destruction in Iraq? We have em and moved em to make Bush look bad.

5. Osama Bin Laden is one of our moderators. He's been hiding at Dom's super secret compound in the Oregon mountains. He posts under various names to confuse his pursuers.

6. Yvette and John (our ultra corrupt certification team) are really Iranian agents bent on destroying the west by promoting online gaming through our network.

7. Arjun is a russian scientist who sent out the anthrax letters. We just say he's on the design team to protect him for the next chemical attack we have planned at the GPWA headquaters. We already have the ricin mixed up......

8. At night I dig small holes in the pastures where Mr Racetrack stores his horses. I also place sharp thorns under their horse shoes so they will throw him. Pretty nifty huh?

9. Nathan is working for the north koreans.

Guys have a great weekend and happy holiday season and keep talikng about us. Lotso lets share a special mug of egg nog together that Arjuns whipped up.

Geez, as a CAP moderator I feel so left out, but I'll be good since I'm already a target to be banned from here. :D hehe

Actually Lou... the only "sharp thorn" obviously must be "me" in your side... :D

I find it "quite interesting" that I... considering I'm not an affiliate... I don't own any websites (and never have)... am NOT a member of the CAP forum... or the GPWA forum... or the APCW forum... get the "attention" that I do from people like you and J.Todd...

Perhaps some of the members of the Casinomeister forum might be interested in knowing that "YOU" were so annoyed when I exposed you on "another forum" for attempting to sell player databases on your CAP forum (and posted proof of this) that you BANNED the owner of "that other forum" from your CAP forum...

Based on your convoluted logic and "past history"... I wouldn't be too surprised if Bryan Bailey is now at risk for being banned from your CAP forum...

Pretty nifty, huh Lou...

Ahh Lou you and your petty veiled threats... Sure are childish... But that is just what we have come to expect from you...

For those of you not in the "know" Lou (The Professor) just threated me.

Nothing new from Lou... same old crap different day.

What a guy...

Hey Lou.... instead of sicking your pet hacker/blackhat SEO on my sites again... you can always try and call my landlord or my local cops again to tell them again that I am running an illegal gambling business from my home.... ROTFLMAO

Well it looks like I had better double check the security on my sites today.

Wonderful sense of humor boys. I guess jealousy, hate and negativity have pushed room for any other emotion out of you two. Pity. :)

I know Bryan and he would never be so petty as to ban a person based on where they are a moderator at, that would just be silly.

Yep, that's easier to swallow...

And this thread is just spiraling into a pit of silliness, and I don't like where this is going.

Thread upgraded to "closed" due to too many chips on shoulders interfering with intelligent thought processes. Believe me, you'll thank me later for this.
