Lost Island (NetEnt)

Maybe it's harder to hit 1000+ wins, but i don't have the feeling (playing both softwares vers regurarely) that it's easier to get 100+ wins at MG for me ir happens about the same for NetEnt and MG

Sadly don't think that will happen. NetEnt are producing some of the most vile slots to hit the market. They are Pretty but payouts are pretty awful. Just look back and see how many 1000x hits there have been since they have released their newer engine? From what I've seen...

I think you can see the trend. There may have been a hit or 2 more than I suggested, but for the duration these games have been out, you would think there should be some really good hits given their type of variance. How long did PlayBoy and Avalon take before you saw some Mega Wins? How does a Slot behave like DOA and Playboy but pay like Starburst - NetEnt might tell you someday...

Nate

Your post made me go to the netent site to check whether it's really as bad as it looks!!!! They actually have tons of games I've never seen or heard of and possibly big winners.....some of them are only available at certain casinos listed below the games. But a few do not have any casinos listed, meaning they should be out soon....looking forward.....

These are all older games, the most recent of those being Robin Hood.

Rant mode on:

I do feel, as i expressed before, Netent is getting bashed way too much lately here on the forum.
Totally unreasonable i.m.o.: let's not forget a lot of their older games, let's say disregarding the last 2 years of releases, are just fine.
I personally also like most releases of the last two years, but that is of course personal taste..

Just look at MG as comparison, they have many videoslots that i don't play (just Like Netent have a lot i don't play), and a lot of releases of them in the last two years are clones of older games with a bit of this and that added to keep it fresh, at least netent are trying to please their customers with new kinds of features and more intense graphics, and if you look at all the paytables from all the slots off these two providers, there are only a handful of slots capable of 1000 x bet or higher.

Only a few years back 1000 x bet was rarely seen, proof of this is already detectable in the difference of volume in winner screenshots and show me the money screenshots, now most higher variance slots or the few that have those hits on the paytable are more popular, of course partly due to exposure on forums like this and on youtube, but people have been satisfied with 100x bet or less for ages.

Don't forget that a slot which is hot, can dish out a few features or hits in short succession to make a collective 100 x or higher and this was more then enough for most gamblers to feel like a winner usually. Setting aside greed/jealousy (the feeling of :"hey i want to hit that too!") or other less admirable human feats it's all about expectations: do you really think a slot should have a hit on the paytable that exceeds 500 x total bet, then ffs don't play the slots that don't and already shut up about it!

That's my opinion, i can really enjoy all kinds of slots, my biggest fun factor is in the playtime, and if i get to cash out after i am satisfied spinning, that's a big plus, but truth be told, i don't cash out much at all. I do appreciate possibilities to hit big in one spin or a certain feature, but i am more of a guy that likes streaky slots, those that will suddenly dish out a fair amount of wins that would get me either back my start balance, or exceed it. the heavily criticised starburst and company, are perfectly capable of that.

I don't care whatever one says, the top hit on any slot is supposed to be a rare occurrence, even more so on the higher variance ones. Peoples expectations just seem to be way off as of late. here's an idea, instead of complaining, pool your money together collectively and pay a newer software provider to built the slot of your dreams, or start a software company yourselves, and make money instead of throwing it away playing slots you don't like and then complaining about it

This might be unreasonable of me, however i am just sick of the bashing, if you REALLY look at things in perspective you'll see most of it is a bunch of baloney.

Rant mode off.

And this is not directed to anyone in particular, it's more of a feeling that there is some lynchmob mentality going on

These have been out for a while Champion of the Track and Secret Code are my favorites out of those four. Both are low-medium variance. Kings of Chicago is good as well and can dish out some nice wins on the base game as well as the feature. I'm not a fan of Robin Hood as it seem's a little compensated.

So the Slot is now live. I did a test run at Mr. Green and provided Feedback. One of my biggest gripes was the animation slowing Gameplay.

NetEnt - Why on earth must you subject us to crap and worthless animation. FFS - Create a button that removes it. Even if the Wilds don't form part of a combination, the Slot still irritates players by playing animation. Same goes for Scatters.

Nate

I have had some free spins from a couple of places today for this slot, it didn't seem too bad for the normal spins not as much of a balance eating monster as wishmaster but the free spins seem really difficult to hit. Resorted to playing demo mode now to see how the free spins are.

I quite like this slot, the win potential is pretty huge. Plus the base game can give you quite a few okay/decent wins rather regularly to keep the balance going unlike quite a few other some of the other NetEnt slots that have come out in the past year.

Totally agree.
I tried it for the first time last night, and baring in mind I usually play slots in "normal spin mode" not "quick spin", even I found the animations on non-winning spins extremely tedious & annoying.
I also found it ate my bank-roll bloody fast too - I probably played about 200 spins with no free-spins before busting out.
I would like to say the big win potential is in the free-spins - but I haven't seen them yet, so I don't know! :(

100% agree. This slot is a monster - hitting FreeSpins is nearly impossible!

gave it a fair run

Played it at a few places you would get one decent win of feature first 50 spins then nothing for a long time
just played it 50 spins or reload game after feature seemed to pay something that way
then again tin foil suit talking

rating 5 out of ten looks nice but chews money
i call netbent on this one

i hate it when 2 scatters dont pay 2x bet. it should have been a 25 line machine instead of 20, and the payouts are low.
