Hi all,

I have been perusing this forum for some time, but this is my first post. I hope that I am accomplishing this correctly and if not, beg your indulgence.

I guess it is possible to always lose and never be "up" at all, but it seems lately that every microgaming and RTG site I play at, I get beat to a pulp quickly. It really leads me to wonder if the online sites know something we don't about the possible ban in the U.S., and are tightening things up in order to maximize revenue prior to the ban going into effect. I don't mean to sound like a sore loser, but the last couple of weeks has been downright painful! Anyone else experiencing these kind of "kick you in the teeth losses" recently?? Any feedback is appreciated.

Blond day, glad I caught that in time. Welcome to the forum Pacers31!!

Welcome, Pacers!

Pina - I sorted that out quickly :) You weren't having a blond moment, I just happened to be breaking it out at the same time :)

I got kicked in the teeth this month as well - couldn't win even at places where I typically do quite well, or at least stay close to even. I have no idea why this is, other than extremely bad timing.

Don't blame you for thinking some of the casinos might be tightening up - but based on the casinos I play at, this is not a highly likely scenario. On the other hand, I play a bit loose, so perhaps it's just because I set my own cashout levels a bit too high.

The best advice I can give at the moment is to limit your deposits - if you happen to get a long run but still lose during a session, quit only one deposit amount behind. If you get eaten up quickly - don't chase - quit and perhaps try another casino (this is my particular habit).

If you win a reasonable amount but feel like playing more, CASH OUT - and then move elsewhere.

Better luck!

LMAO....so I'm not losing my mind then? Whew.....thanks Spear, lol.

I'm with you on that strategy Spear. It just seems fishy. Also, I really like playing the mermaid millions slot, but I feel like a sucker even trying it anymore. The other night I went nearly 1000 (literally!) spins without the mermaid bonus appearing. When it finally did, I got a whopping $12 total bonus from the spins.

Like I said, I really enjoy the game, in fact a long time ago I actually got the five mermaid scatters once. Since then, it has been like a trip to a dentist that doesn't use anesthetic! PAINFUL!!

Anyone else with experience on this game. Misery loves company you know

I'll tell you what seems fishy....what happened to me earlier! I'm just a girl that tried to take a day off work and found some free money to play with.

I've noticed something though. Every Monday is the best day to play for me.

Like all other newbies...I saw the winning screenshots thread and got all pumped up and went into Roxy like I knew what I was doing. I think I put in about $20 and landed on 5 of the blonde lady. That was the largest win I'd had online. I will post some of my screenshots when I figure out how to.

I was having heavy losses at Omni earlier and might have been inclined to agree with you, but this afternoon I deposited $2500 and cashed out at $10,000. Sensing a little mojo, I deposited $1000 and cashed out at $1500. Still feeling the mojo, I deposited another $1000, and again cashed out at $1500.

What does this mean? Nothing except that's why they call it gambling.

yeah, I just must be the most unlucky person in the world. Of course I am just a little fish, only depositing $50-100 at a time. You are a whale!!! Congrats on your lucky streak.

Losing

You're not alone Pacer. I was wondering the same, exact thing. I have been gambling daily online for over five years and used to do quite well at times but lately all casinos just suck the life right out of me.
It doesn't matter if it's Micro, RTG, Playtech , or any other software, the modus operandi never changes, deposit, spin, lose. Not to be funny but I haven't even had a winning spin , let alone a winning session since November.
How is one supposed to have a positive session without even hitting a single winning spin ??
Being what I'd consider a grizzled veteran of this online gaming scene I'd say you're 100 % spot on, the casinos are definately squeezing every last drop of blood out of the cash cow while they can.
It's gotten so bad that I've even resorted to driving the 10 minutes to the land based casino to get away from this obvious blood letting. Cheers !

Your truth is my reality. In fairness, I have yet to make a deposit this year (and have only played on a handful of bonuses credited to various accounts), but the slaughter (also) began in November. The casinos REALLY skinned the cat (the cat being me), and I've been VERY tentative about going back (although I plan on playing with a very meager sum in the near future).

I too, have been playing for 5 years, and I have never gone through a funk like I had at the closing of '05. I'm sure others would disagree (and I applaud them if they're doing well), but I'm in your boat spike38. I'm not a fan of the term "variance" these days.

cont...

the modus operandi never changes...

Boy, I'd love to slip that expression into a conversation at some point in time, AND keep a straight face. :D

I assume that you were joking to make your point. If not, I find it hard to believe that you haven't had even ONE winning spin in 5 months. Unless you've only played once or twice, and then only a couple of spins, this would be an improbable losing streak.

To start with I could never go 1000 spins without the feature - I would have given up WAY before that!

Looking at my figures, I had quite good profits in January & February - but in those two months I did not made ANY profit at ANY Microgaming casinos! Not that I play a lot of them anyway, but I too have not had any decent slot feature hits this year - so maybe there is something in this 'tightening up' theory.

The only reasonable run I've had is at Ladbrokes (No USA - sorry!) where I've been playing 100+ every day on Tomb Raider for their scratch-card promo and I've been hitting plenty of 'Tomb' and free-spin features. None of them have been very big, but I'm slightly ahead overall.

I guess it's a coincidence, but March has been the first month for me without net winnings, during the last 12 months of my internet gambling....

I m just waiting for next month, playing some poker here and there, and hope for the best....I suppose you cant win them all! !!

I've had winning days plenty of times, but winning months never. My luck never stays with me for 30 days. I guess the day I won around 14k would have made that month a winner, but that's prolly the only one I've ever seen.

Hi!
I don't think the possible ban in U.S.A. has some influence on players winnings.I live in Finland and, after hitting a good win in January, I have been playing January, February and beginning of March, quite often, with no success, no matter if I changed slot or casino..that's why nowdays I am just hunting no deposit bonus....:o

Your speculation is as good as mine but i don't believe the possible ban in the US has anything to do with it. Casinos overall make the most money from players who have an occasional decent-to-great win. They are the ones who keep depositing, and playing too long, to get another rush from hitting a good win. If you never win, casino games become boring very soon, you'll lose interest and stop depositing. Other than for the important censorship angle, consistently losing players may voice less opposition to the proposed US ban and not bother to speak out against this ban. They might think "i can't seem to win a dime at casinos anyway, so perhaps it's just as well that they'll be outlawed on the net as i won't be tempted anymore to deposit and lose money".

Hey Spike, I'm glad I'm not alone (not that it provides any comfort or anything). Right now I am getting my butt kicked on Cleopatras Gold. Have deposited $100 and I am now down to $20 in less than twenty minutes (at 40 cents a spin!) I haven't seen a pyrimid bonus in so long that I'm starting to wonder if the aliens came and took them back!!!!

that's a very good point managra. You would think that the casinos would want to make gaming even more attractive right now in light of the possible ban in the U.S.. Any casino reps out there may want to think hard about upping the payout percentages at this critical juncture. As you said, if noone seems to ever win anything, who will care if online gaming is banned?

Well guys, that's it for me. After taking this mornings butt kicking I am going to retire until I see how all this political sh!t shakes out. I would understand if the play was terrible at one site, or one software, but when it is so bad across the board, I have to now believe that something more sinister is afoot. I really don't mind losing as much as long as I feel that I have a chance, but I certainly am not in this to just donate to a casino site. Managra hit it on the head. I really don't care if they ban it if this is how it is going to be. If in fact this is some giant revenue generator because of politics, the industry will not survive even if online gaming isn't banned. If true, there is no integrity in this business.

Heading to the riverboat in Peoria, have fun all!

Run of losing on favorite Casinos too

I am having the same experience with a run of losing at the same casinos and games across the board.

VIP and Intercasino are very bad at this time it seems for me and the same as Inetbet and Grand aces..very bad there too....etc etc:eek2:

Seems as if something has gone downhill somewhere on the games and I am glad I wasn't the only one "feeling" it.

Right now, 32Red and Roxy Palace (same software ?) are the only 2 places actually having somewhat more time on play...but no great wins..jusy enough to pass the time for a short while.:eek2:

I keep changing casinos to play my favorite games and it seems they are losing at all of them...wierd...usually if one isn't hitting, another will ...

I am off to the odd casinos I have accounts with as we speak since they also have been playing a little better than the regular ones..Sunset Casino and the Kangaroo's......and Kiwi...here I come!:D

If this doesn't work, I am back to "PLAY" mode for a long while also...

Hey,
During the last months I have tried several different casinoes and there are very different payouts on them.

I would reccomend theese three for you :
Spin Palace
32Red
Roxy Palace

Theese three casinoes gives you great wins, and great losses ofcourse - but you will win on theese. My favourite machines are ofcourse the 9 liners, Ladies nite - Spring Break - Thunderstruck and Tally Ho!

My experience tells me that there is a pattern on how you should play if you are looking for big wins, but might I add that you need emence willpower not to fall down the rabbit hole while doing this as you need to be very strict in amount of spins and such (Something I'm not since I just keep comming back for more and eventually lose all wins, and deposit more...)

I would advise you to pull down your playcheck logs where you play and analyze them, you will see there are patterns in payout percentage and wagering amounts. Me myself a PHP developer, have developed a little software which generates stats directly from the playchek logs, and it's very interesting.

Most importantly, stick in casinoes where many others are - aslong as many people are loosing, you have a bigger chance in winning if you know what I mean, :) That is probably the case with the three I mentioned...

I also would like to add something here :
Roxy Palace rocks - it has max $11.25 net on Ladies Nite!
Spin Palace however is high roller, and has $45 as max.

Be aware when falling down that rabbit hole to be in the correct casino, meaning do not be in the $45 wagering one since it will suck you dry, fast!

Hey KIMSS, I know what you mean. Like I said though, I am done until this whole political adventure is over. Where there is smoke there is fire, and I am not going to get burned. Right now Illinois looks alot like Norway KIMSS, lot of snow and this is suppose to be spring!!

Continued losing streak.........

I play at three different casinos all Microgaming and have been slammed for the past two months. I have played for about a year on a regular basis, and even though I may have gone a few days up to 4 or 5 losing, it ALWAYS turned around and I could recoup at least the majority of my deposits. Since January 27th, forget it!!

No matter which site I play on I lose, spin after spin after spin. I cannot believe how many bonus rounds I have gotten then are just a bust.

While there is obviously a risk with gambling, it is disconcerting to hear so many stories of this run of losses lately. Isn't there anything Bryan can do about this? My issue is with Microgaming. What have they done to their software in the past two months to create this situation. I have NEVER experienced anything like this. If I used to lose at one casino I could go to one of the other two and usually win there but not now I lose at all of them. How can we keep getting told it's just "bad luck". Seems like a scam to me.

That's not quite what i said :) Even though somebody may not be playing casinos for the moment, or contemplates on stopping altogether, you still want to fight this bill tooth and nail. Out of principle! As a matter of free speech and not allowing the US Gov't to dictate what we can or cannot do in the comfort of our own homes!

I have been on a losing streak also lately and uninstalled most casinos. Still, i want to make the decision whether i'll play or not. Don't need the Gov't being my babysitter and telling me what's morally good for me or not.
