does anyone of the webmaster have a tip for a good and easy working "software" to track the clicks on links and banners? for free would be great!

It depends on your needs. I have very simle cgi script installed that counts clicks for every URL. I think you can search script libraries too.

Try this: Link Removed ( Old/Invalid)

I've been using this for a few years and I'm satisfied. It's free.
