It has dawned on me that I am guilty of not showing thanks or appreciation to members and admin who run this site, so thank you :notworthy

It is alarming what the consequences could be without this forum and the mistakes I could be making, such as:

- Playing at rogue casinos which have slow/no pay (I was guilty of playing at Euromoon for a bit until I saw the error of my ways on this forum!)

- Self Exclusion mis-use and scenarios as encountered with EM

- Missed opportunities of free spins, offers and promotions from reputable sites

- Access to active casino reps to provide good support and help

As for newbies joining the site, take note of the benefits of using the accredited casinos listed. Also use the search facility to check on casinos you currently play at or wish to play at to check their history of member problems or feedback. Learn from their mistakes and experience!

I don't want this to be a brown nosing post, but it's nice to pass on thanks and appreciation where it is due. I am in a happy place at the moment (no, I haven't taken anything illegal!) which I have to give credit to this forum for. Besides, I can't tell my missus about any of my wins/losses as she doesn't know I play at any casinos!!

Cheers everyone and keep up the good work!

Does your missus just presume your accessing porn sites when you close a page quickly as soon as she walks in the room?

Ha ha ha, you know it !! You clearly must be speaking from experience!!! :p:D:p:D

Seriously though, you have just hit the nail on the head with that comment!!! Actually, I have two internet browsers open and simply change between them. Can't have two tabs open on one browser as web address still shows at top of page on the tab!! ;)

The "Dual browser" trick won't save you either. I remember having an ancient PC that when called upon to save my dignity wouldn't close a tab in time. Or at least it did, but there was the reverb from the speakers which kept looping.

I had to do a hard shutdown, could say I came pretty close. Although trying to explain why I was sat at my PC with less attire than normal (with a black screen) was challenging

Yep, that is pretty challenging explaining that!! :D

That's where you are going wrong as I always play with muted volume! The first time I did play with sound was on Grim Muerto and it was actually pretty good. Would be nice to play with volume, but got used to peace and quiet now in the evenings.

Hah. Richy you sound just like me. I always have it muted and am on chrome for gambling and explorer for regular stuff. Like Goatwack though I almost got busted as well as I couldn't switch over fast enough (although I am usually properly dressed ... lol). I have a secret gambling bank acct and an ecopayz acct that he knows nothing about. Better kept that way as he absolutely hates gambling.

Very nice of you to acknowledge all the hard working members on this forum. They put a lot of time and effort in keeping us out of trouble.

BTY -- cheers to your good fortune lately!

its concerning seeing how many people hide their gambling from their better half?

Isn't the rule '' for better or worse''?

I just hope none of you are gambling the money that belongs to both of you

I don't bust his chops when I see him changing browsers -- obviously accessing porn. I have even treated him to a weekend and expensive wine but his response is "how much did you have to lose to win this". Never has he said -- wow that's awesome! When we go to land casinos and I have a huge win he is fine with that.

Have always kept my winnings separate and no do not dip into our bank account. I am extremely resourceful and have not had to use any of our funds for a very long time and if I did it was very small. Somehow have kept my account funded.

For better or worse? Sometimes it is best not to divulge information if they do not want to hear it. He knows I play -- he just doesn't want to hear it. Just as I do not want to hear what sites he is visiting.

As Barbara says, it's easier and best not to divulge information which would cause distress to someone. My wife has extremely bad anxiety and takes absolutely no enjoyment out of gambling, whereas I do. Should I stop? Well, not really as we all have lives to live and are adults and I wouldn't do anything detrimental to the family. Does it affect her? Not really as all our bills are paid and we live comfortably.

I appreciate your comments, but we all have little secrets to keep to maintain a happy lifestyle! ;)
