Klopp is stubborn and fsg are tight fisted. Anyone who says they spent big last season technically that money didn’t come
Out there pockets. We needed to keep momentum whilst we were at the pinnacle yet I feel we have regressed starting to panic now cos our squad is thin and we just loaned out Harry Wilson to Bournemouth foolish foolish decision our bench is shit as well city have made the required reinforcements I can feel a 4/5 place this season hope I’m wrong eeeeeeeeeeeek

Yeah we have replaced migs which I’m buzzing about but signing those two kids is for the future they can’t come into the squad this season and set it alight. Feel a bit sick but let’s hope it’s a good ride and I’m wrong

I appreciate your concern, I'd be lying if i didn't ponder over it. The boss may be a bit stubborn, but he's good at motivating the players, and i guess he knows more than us about the situation. Let's face it, if being honest, we didn't see victory by 4 goals to nil over Barca as ever becoming a reality. We have a solid team who beleive in themselves, and the manager.

4th or 5th! Hold on just a minute there, my fellow red, I've got something for you..

:p
I think we were unlucky vs Man City the other day. We had more shots, our Egyptian was a bit selfish at times imo, but yes, it's a risk all the same, and time will ultimately tell of course.

I appreciate all what you have said and we have just gotta wait and see. but let’s be real we are a few injuries away from 5th place everyone calls me negative but I’m a realist. I just hope and pray this isn’t the case Barcelona was absolutely unreal don’t get me wrong. But going by last season we came short towards the end of the season drawed to many games etc due to fatigue etc. mane salah and firmino have had a long summer as well with African cup of nations and copa America. We don’t have the squad for all competitions that’s another thing that baffles me why we don’t go for all cups Mickey Mouse cups or not silverware is silverware. I Love klopp but struggling to see his faith that he puts in llanna I can hand on heart say llana has skill and is actually not a bad footballer but that guy is the most injury prone player ever and there is no way he will stay fit a whole season. We have bought kids in and obviously in the future they will come good with Curtis Jones rhian Brewster etc but we need to catch city now. I think Bruno Fernandez would of been a steal and a couple of others but hey ho such is life.

hmmm you guys bought Sepp van den Berg - the future Virgil van DIjk with red hair :)

lucky's a lady! not a lad

I must admit I thought we'd struggle due to burn out, mane's had a great year though and the defence have been solid.

Our rivals have been all over the place, in transition with either unbalanced squads like man city or ropey/rookie management like man utd, ars, chelsea.

a few draws and losses from those games and a better man city it would be a lot tighter, but we def deserve the title for consistency of performance.

going to be interesting who comes in in the summer, a new under the radar, suarez type player would be just the ticket

Sick of people saying we are only gonna win it because the rest of the teams have been shit let’s be real here we have been on another level and all without spending in the summer I hope this team can build on this now and not be one season wonders. Klopp won’t spend big in summer prob a few little enhancements whoever comes have to know they will prob warm the bench most of the time Cos competition is tough to get into the 1st team.

the top 5 teams have been ropey, it's not a vintage year but liverpool have been vintage so I'm not taking the win away from them just that it would have been closer.

also the var system has made it fairer, I'm sure without it man city would have more points as they seemed to get more decisions going their way under the old system.

I believe the african nations cup is changing again, so next winter we could be missing our top players. I'd like to see origi get some more game time soon, I think he's been very patient as a backup. There are some good youngsters coming through too apparently, so you never know a new robbie fowler or michael owen could soon emerge.

our warhorse milner is ready and waiting for left back duties, he's only 34 plenty of life left in him. We need to be scouting to find the next james milner, so underrated but one of brenda's best signings

edit : Hendo is our bruno fernandez type player, he is milner-esque too, very committed and professional. I think fergie slated JH but he's has been well worth the transfer fee we paid sunderland

From my extensive FM knowledge and all things Liverpool- related ( :D ) I know that Joe Gomez can fill in at left back, and with younger backup players beckoning, such as Adam Lewis, Neco Williams and even Hoever.

Lest we forget the forgotten man Clyne, if he can stay fit for 5 minutes that is

Whatever the silverware theres no doubt Klopp and his team are world class. There amongst the most formidable teams in the world and their nice to watch. Like when Arsenal were riding high it was a pleasure to see.

Pompey have the gunners on Monday so im hoping all the big teams left have a bit of a wobble at the minute. A few injuries here and there to thin out the squads. All set for Pompey FA Cup glory!

Edit: One of the best football chants i ever heard was from the LIverpool fans -

He's big, He's Red
His feet stick out the bed!
Peter Crouch......Peter Crouch!

Portsmouth are amazing. I remember the O'Neil, Crouch, Defoe glory days with Redknapp at the helm, and their F.A. Cup triumph. Up the Pompey I say!

Yes Redknapp was our greatest manager i think. Its a shame the board got in the way of progress in the end. A lot of people made a lot of money but the club suffered.

Hopefully we wont flop this season and can try and make a return, though im not holding my breath lol.

1 up now against Rochdale.... and yes @goatwack great team Merson was the one for me what a player only trained once a week
pompey had some great [albeit past their prime players] kanu, yakubu and prosinecki spring to mind, and a player fantasy football managers never forget 'benjani'

Harry redknapp brought in more players than you can shake a stick at iirc

I dont think anyone gets away with not training anymore, not in the upper leagues anyway.

Apparently Prosinecki used to smoke more than Teddy Sheringham and going back to Liverpool do you remember Jan Molby? Great player but not sure he ever did a sit up unless he was getting out of bed.
