LeoVegas Affiliates - intrusive new terms

No update from LeoVegas, so presumably thats a fuck you to affiliates then?

Most the questions and comments in the thread should be easy to answer, without the need to ask someone higher up in the company so no excuse for not answering before now.

Leo Vegas is reviewed at Casinomeister

I emailed them today, and they are still probably trying to figure out how to go from here. It's not easy for anybody.

Think this gives an idea of the likelihood that Leo Vegas have any intention of being in any way reasonable or evenhanded:

I logged into my account yesterday (first time for a month) and I got straight in - no pop-up asking me to agree to any new terms... :eek2:

KK

There won't be - they claimed to have sent an e-mail ages ago, and check your messages inbox!

I have not received any emails. This is really a joke. Also James was affiliate manager and left. I was given a new affiliate manager named Diemo Albielt.

I have sent email to 3 different contacts now and all saying either Can not received emails as its closed. And now got from other 2 > Does not any longer receive emails on this email address. Please contact Petra???

James i will send you PM now with my email can you please urgently forward it on or PM me affiliate manage contact at LeoVegas.

Really shows there is problems somewhere in communication??

PS i managed to find different contact person and the general leovegas one. But shocking i have not even been told about a new affiliate manager since James. And now that Affiliate Manager has left?? I Will refrain from sending you PM now and await answer though email James.

OK, it seems they're doing an Affpower here, at best a Sky Vegas - this communication is a BIG F-U! In other words, unless you're a huge affiliate network with clout and the funds to pay for lawyers, your account for UK players is being seized:

"In recent months we have, in consultation with UKGC, taken several steps to ensure that LeoVegas and our affiliates remain compliant with our licensing conditions and other applicable regulations, in accordance with our Affiliate Partner Terms and Conditions.

As we appreciate the challenges around implementing these changes, we have provided clear guidance of what we expect from our affiliates and have tried to keep an open line of communication with our affiliates to support them throughout this process. We are encouraged to see that several affiliates are taking these changes seriously and have taken on compliance managers or external legal counsel to ensure their ongoing compliance. This is something that we welcome. However, based on the response we have received to these initial actions, it is clear that these compliance requirements are not easily met for some affiliates.

Additionally, the recent announcements from UKGC and guidance from the CMA delivered at the Raising Standards conference clearly indicate further ongoing changes to compliance requirements going forward and, naturally, we must ensure our affiliates are prepared to address these needs. We are not and will not be able to continuously provide review and guidance services to all affiliates and would like to emphasise that the responsibility to achieve compliance ultimately sits with the affiliate.

For these reasons going forward, although we value all the hard work all our affiliates have been putting in to the partnership, we are only able to continue to work with a small number of affiliates who satisfy our compliance standards, share our commitment to compliance, and further have the operational scale to guarantee ongoing compliance and deliver a worthwhile contribution to our business."

So like SV they are hiding behind obfuscation of the UKGC advertising rules (quite simple for all the other affiliate programmes - we supply them with where we advertise, they check and advise/approve, done, piece of piss) and have made lame excuses to shut your account, and not pay you.

YOU ARE SMALL FRY, SCUM! YOU CAN'T AFFORD TO CHALLENGE US LEGALLY, WE'LL HAVE YOUR PLAYERS, NOW FUCK-FF! THANK-YOU AND GOODNIGHT.

Feeling like the red-headed step-child here. Looks like another respected affiliate program tossing their well-achieve business relationship into the wind. I haven't hear diddly squat for over a week.

further have the operational scale

what the fuck does that mean? I am one person, running one website, any changes needed are usually done within 30 mins. Never more than 24 hours. So presumably I have the operational scale to do this.

Catena obviously don't though, so presumably we will see LeoVegas removed from their sites soon, I wonder if they have paid the 50k fine yet?

Look at this page, complete nonsense and nowhere near compliant

LEO VEGAS BONUS, PROMO CODE AND FREE BET
Signing up with Leo Vegas is fairly easy, and new players get access to not just the gaming platform but a welcome bonus of £100. A £30 Leo Vegas free bet Bonus is also entitled to the newly registered members, which reflects within 24 hours of signing up at the bookmaker. However, make sure you bet through a mobile device to claim the free bet bonus. You need to choose odds of 1.50 or greater and stake at least £10 in real money to get started. Each bonus is dependent on 100% match, and for freeing the cash, players must stake 35X the bonus amount. Also, Leo Vegas free bet must be used in one go. The Leo Vegas bonus or free bet offer is a lot different to other betting offers around, the Skybet Free Bet offer gives you a £10 free bet with no deposit, the Betfair free bet offers gives you a £30 free bet when you bet £10, Betbright offer is a £50 risk free bet, unlike all these free bet offers Leo Vegas offers you double the profit on your first bet.

If we talk about Leo Vegas promo code, then you can be relieved as the bookmaker plans to start a VIP loyalty scheme, i.e. great money back deals in future. A long-running Leo Vegas bonus programme is also in the making. So those who stick can expect lots of loyalty and casino rewards and extras like free spins, prize draws and vacations.

So from that you get £130 in free bets/bonus that has to be used on one go, and makes it pretty clear the other offers from other bookmakers are better, excellent offers..

However thats all lies, as going through their link (in case it was a special promo for them) shows the current welcome offers are

Well, if you are finding ads via the Internet that are not compliant, let the webmaster know (if possible), if not - report them to the LeoVegas peeps. There goes your competition. :p

Maybe they will give you a finders fee if they decide to fine the affiliate.

I just had a quick look at one of the largest affiliate networks, took me literally a minute to find that. Funny how the big boys are allowed to do what they like isn't it?

I notice it says players should expect vacations, free spins and prize draws. Wonder where I'm going :D

I know that a lot a of people have been on Xmas break, but it has been over a month and not much has be coming forth from LeoVegas.

So due to the lack of response in this thread, in other threads, lack of replies to PM's do we take it LeoVegas don't want to be part of the forum any more? As thats certainly how its coming across.

After speaking with James and their legal rep, things make a bit more sense. Like anything that is unprecedented (for instance a licensing agency coming down with a "no quarters" policy, companies scrambled to comply. LeoVegas being one of them. Current affiliates should contact their affiliate manager to see how they are to proceed in order to comply with LeoVegas's email/double-opt in policies etc. This was one of my main concerns - whether or not affiliates are required to "open" their books so to speak. There is a form to be filled out that covers this.

I also expressed my disappointment of their not being having an organized response team in the forum, and this is something they want to square away since they value their relationship with Casinomeister, and would like to remain active here.

The bottom line is most problems can be resolved with effective communication - this is difficult to do when one is rolling with the punches from the UKGC and ASA.

Well I just emailed my account manager and got

So thats a good start.
Still no response to my emails about spam which were sent directly to James
No response in the spam thread
No reply to my PM about withdrawal charges.

If they are serious about remaining active then at least replying to PM's about player issues might be a good start!

Can you give us more information about the form that needs to be filled in please Bryan, will that stop us having to open books?

You should contact your affiliate manager and there is a form to fill out where you indicate the safeguards you have in place for your site, your database - if any, your policies on double opt in, how you deal with unsubscribes - most of the info is easily attainable and is pretty standard for sites like Casinomeister. We really don't do mailings (just newsletters, and forum announcements). And any special promotions are written by the casino peeps - so that's covered. Right now we are just scrambling to get the reviews worded and structured the way they should be.
