Lasseters online first withdrawl procedure

I had them cancel the check and they are processing the withdrawl differently now, hopefully fast, I just had my first check bounce today because I was waiting on this money.

Hi all,

Toofast4u, you should be fair to us and disclose that the reason the cheque has not arrived is most likely attributable to you having incorrect details in the mailing address you gave. In the mean time we are expediting the payment process for you.

Kind Regards

yes, the zip code was wrong as I discovered a week or so ago, but however it is only one postal zone away(a matter of like 5 blocks) so they should have forwarded it to the correct zip, with some sort of tracking# I could have known when and where it was, but instead I was stuck between either cancelling the check and waiting an additional week or two or hoping the postal service would forward it to me. My biggest gripe is that I asked up front that the check be sent by some other method, and even though they agreed to it it was not.

Regardless of the reason, it sucks when you are counting on some money and it doesn't show. If I would have caught the zip code error right away it probably would already be here, and just a couple hundred I wouldn't sweat it, but when its all said and done I actually lost money waiting for it and its still not here. So its a lose/lose situation in my eyes. Its significant enough, at least to me, to have a pretty big impact especially when I have people jumping all over me for cash right now.

Lasseteers has done a good job so far of resolving this, but I would say for future reference, ditch the normal post system and go for something better for big checks, just so there is no being left in the dark as to when it will arrive. The postal system is flawed and the likelyhood of something getting lost or severely delayed is pretty high, and when you are talking about a significant amount of money then that adds to the stress.

As of Thursday June 23rd, that is my deadline, I have 1 signiciant bill that has to be paid, that is very very very important and deals directly with my career and cash flow, I wanted to get it paid by no later than the 10th and this money was the key, so I was not counting on it taking so long. If I don't get it paid by then, well I may be out much more than just the money. I am already paying 10% late charges on this bill as it is.

So in reality, win or loss, the compliactions that have arose from this, have made this a loss in my book. Had I not played at Lasseters, this bill would be paid right now, and I wouldn't have paid the extra late fees and any bank fees that have resulted from this. It did kind of come at a bad time too, business has gotten slow over the last few weeks so that definitely increased the importance of recieving the money, but that is not something that I or anyone could have predicted, it just goes to show that in the end, when you win, you lose.

ok, now I just spoke with one of your reps and they told me it could take as much as 2 weeks to stop a check. I intitated it on the 17th, Seriously, I was not born yesterday and anynoe with blood running through their brains knows that it doesn't take 2 weeks to stop a check. Seriously, so whats the story?? I need this money in my account on or before the 23rd. I would suggest we get this matter resolved immediately for both of our sakes. I know you guys have a good rep around here, but how would you feel if you were in my shoes?? check was supposed to be sent via any other method than snail mail but it was not, I waited around in hopes that the check would arrive here. Now that I have initiated the stop payment, I haven't gotten a firm response as to when I can expect the funds in my account, I just get 1-2 weeks.

You have previously posted about your gambling habits and your compulsion.

You have previously said that you have learnt how bad it is to gamble with money you need to run your life.

You now seem to be repeating these errors and you need to take a step back and reavaluate your priorities.

I am sure the members of this forum would all give you all their best wishes for the future but you do need to take control.

Exactly!! Why are you writing checks on money you dont have yet???????????

Why are you counting on this money to live or make or break a career???

My God....had you NOT won, then what would you have done????

NEVER spend money you dont have in your hands.....

It's obvious you're a compulsive gambler. Maybe you should go here:

It was YOUR fault regarding the zip code, wasnt it??????
Here you are getting upset and it's YOUR fault....
Maybe you owe Lasseters an apology.
I wish you well....

Yes, I do have a compusion, but this was the only and last time I have gambled within the last several months. It just seems even though I am expecting money somehow it still manages to screw things up. Hell its the first time I have played online since mid 2004

I expectd to wait a week or two. At the time it was not a big deal but a combination of factors have really put getting this money as a top priority., I figured with their reputation, I could easily see it no more than a week or two. Anyways, they say I will see the money within 2-3 days so hopefully all will be well, I will be satisfied with that.

Here we go, once again..

Mitch- for one thing, this was for an inital deposit of $250, at which time I had well over 15x that money so this was not a big deal at all. This represents the first and last time I have gambled within the last 8 months, so you wanna call me out of control go right ahead, but I can tell you that gambling only represends maybe 1 / 1000th of my life now, personally I think its all a big joke anyways. Had I not went back and played back some of the winnings out of my own accountm I probably wouldn't even be making a big deal out of it, but the plain and simple fact, now, 1 month later it is having an impact. I shouldn't even have to be worrying about it at this point. But when Lasseters holds up their word, then I will certainly post about it. I just don't like being told one thing then 5 min later another.

I had won, I wound up spending a good chunk of that a few days later after the withdrawl had been made, thinking I had the money coming back anyways. If I hadn't of won, I would still have the same amount of money if not more than I will when I recieve the withdrawl, I would have never spent another cent. You may think I am some loser gambling away my earnings all the time, well thats not the case, I did have a bad episode several months ago but thats long gone and forgotten, do I think I have a gambling problem, yes, am I in control, definitely yes. I haven't touched a game online nor have I stepped foot in a casino since this whole debacle and I probably won't again for a long time. Like I said, even when you win, the complications created around it really make it a 'loss'. In all of this, I wound up breaking even, with the money coming to me, but as it stands I am still down that amount until I have the money in my hands.

Slotchic-

you ever heard of this thing called automatic bill pay?? Well, I have been waiting patiently for the most part for these funds but these charges come rain or shine, and the fact of the matter is I didn't have time to stop the chages in light of not getting the money. No one on this entire board has the right to judge me or my finances unless you have actually been in my shoes. I do in every right have room to be upset if $1k + is owed to me and it gets delayed for whatever reason and it causes problems, Its it partially my fault, yes it is. I would be just as concerned if a customer of mine owed me the same amount of money. And I think my point stands as valid that IF they would have sent the money via ANYTHING but snail like I asked them probably 3 times after making the initial withdrawl then none of this would have happened, and I think I have made that clear that was my only gripe, other than 1 person telling me one thing then the next telling me something different.

I am glad its worked out toofast4u.

By the way I don't regard you as a sad loser far from it. Anyone who has the courage to post publicly as you did a few months ago must have depth of character.

I was just concerned the compulsive part of your personality was perhaps overcoming your better nature.

If you must gamble, and I don't think people with compulsive or addictive personalities should, you wouldn't go far wrong in following the method of Slotchicks arch nemesis KasinoKing. Needs willpower to stay at this low level however and not chase losses, which will bring every gambler down eventually.

Mitch
